"Thanks, Brianna."

"It's no problem. I have to drive over to my job in two hours anyways and I figured you'd want to have me drive you today to work." She said.

When we made it to my job, she drove off back to her house and I called into work and was greeted with a hug from my boss, Dave.

"Katherine! It's so nice to see you and you're here very early today!"

"It's nice to see you too, Dave."

I seen a few customers approach their tables and I walked over to get their order.

"Hello. How may I take your order?" I asked the customer.

"I'll take a glass of water with a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. That'll be all."

"Thank you, we'll be right with you momentarily."

I walked over and placed the man's order to the chef and he prepared the food. I waited five minutes and handed the man his breakfast meal.

Work was the same as always. I've been a waitress for three years for O'Charley's and I honestly really loved it here. While I kept handing out orders to the chef, Colby kept running through my head as the hours went on. No matter how much I tried to avoid thinking of him while doing my job, everything from the night we met to what occurred last night continued to keep popping back into my head.

Colby
Jon and I were on our way to Louisiana for a house show tonight and I couldn't stop thinking about Katherine the entire time. I was deep in my thoughts until I decided to break the silence.

"Jon, how long is this ride going to take?" I asked.

"Just a few hours." He paused. "Why?" Jon said, looking back at me.

"Nothing. But man, I miss Katherine."

"I know you do, buddy." Jon said. "I miss Brianna."

"It's just, all I can do right now is think about her and she won't respond to my texts either."

"Didn't she said she had work about a few hours ago."

"Right. I keep forgetting that she works at O'Charley's and they're always busy."

"We have to focus on tonight's event, Colby."

"I know, I'm going to try my best not to bother Katherine."

Within a few hours later, we arrived to Louisiana and we stopped at a gas station to refill gas into the Lamborghini. I bought some snacks and a bottle of water until Jon was finished doing what he needed to do. However, Katherine and her beautiful face wouldn't escape my head and I just hope that she's doing okay.

It was finally time for me to call out of work. I was exhausted after all of the orders I kept having to take back and forth for hours. I couldn't wait to get home and fall asleep in my bed after an exhausting day of working.

I decided on calling an Uber to drive me back to my house since Brianna was currently at work. I continued to walk on the sidewalk until I accidentally bumped into a man who looked at me and looked worried about me when I fell to the ground.

"I'm so sorry for bumping into you like that." He apologized.

"It's alright." I said, dusting myself off. "What's your name?"

"Aiden. Yours?"

"Katherine."

"That's a beautiful name. Wanna go out with me?" He said without hesitation.

"I'm sorry, but no. I have my eyes for someone else." I smiled, thinking of Colby.

"Who's the lucky man?" He asked.

"He doesn't want me to tell anyone his name."

"A mystery man, huh?"

"Yeah." I said as the Uber arrived. "I gotta go, my Uber is here."

When I made it back to my house, I decided on crashing onto the couch and seeing a few messages that I received while I was working.

I went to see who else texted me back and it was one message from Colby.

Hey Katherine. I understand you're at work but you've been crossing my mind for the past few hours and I have a match to do later. However, I have some amazing news to tell you pretty soon! Also, I miss that beautiful smile of yours right now.

Call me when you're done with your match. I'm home right now and I hope it's amazing news!

I started to get comfortable on my couch and relaxed while turning on the television and eventually fell asleep. Two hours later, I woke up to hearing my phone ringing and it was from Colby. My heart began beating more than ever as I answered his call.

"Hello?"

"Katherine! I have some amazing news to tell you!" He said with elation.

"What is it?" I asked.

"WWE is planning on having a house show in Los Angeles! Unfortunately, it's a month away and I won't be able to see you until then." He said with sadness in his voice.

"It's alright. I hope you, Jon and Joe are doing well."

"We are. It turns out I'm also becoming a dual-champion here pretty soon."

"Really?"

"Yeah. WWE World Heavyweight Champion and the United States Champion."

"That sounds amazing!" I said, smiling.

"It's like this big promotion that my boss is giving me because I've been on a roll lately and doing fantastic in my job. Sadly, I have to go because I need to shower. I smell atrocious since I just got finished with a match against Dolph Ziggler tonight."

"Alright, I'll talk to you tomorrow?"

"Of course, Katherine. Goodnight!" Colby said.

I hung up the phone with Colby and walked upstairs and back into my bed. It looked the same as it did when Colby and I woke up this morning. From the ruffled blankets to seeing one of his Mayday Parade wristbands on the ground that he accidentally left behind lying on the floor. I kept it with me until he was able to come back and retrieve it.

I made my bed and started to slowly drift off to sleep, thinking about Colby.

Next Day

I woke up from my sleep and received a missed call from Brianna. Looking at the time, she was currently at work and I decided on sending her a small text message.

Hey Bri. Call me when you're on break or when you leave work so I can hang out with you.

I put my phone back onto my nightstand and struggled to wake up out of bed. I haven't heard from Colby ever since last night. He must've been busy with his schedule along with the other two.

Thankfully, it was my day off from work and I could finally relax for the whole day. I waited for Brianna to get out of work and waited for her to call me for a few hours. Until then, I cleaned around my home and done my laundry.
