Chapter 89) Reminiscing
Seth
I continued to wait for days until Hunter and Steph could break me out of prison. I know I'm not going to be bailed out since the judge said that I had no bail. I felt like those two could finally break into the prison overnight and get me the hell out of here. I had some more important matters to tend to other than spending seven-years in jail.
I sat down in the bed and kept staring at the ground, staring down at my feet. I remember reflecting back on my childhood with Ashley from when we were only children. From those days when we would arrive to each other's houses after school, playing video games, hanging out at the old ice cream parlor back in Iowa. I have to admit, those times were fun while it lasted.
Ashley.
...Oh, sweet Ashley.
It's sad that you thought that things were going to last forever. Just like the saying goes:
All good things must come to an end.
What's insane was that I loved that woman back in grade school. She and I were honestly the closest bond in the entire school back then. I was too much of a coward to unravel my feelings towards her; thus, it was one of the biggest mistakes that I've ever made. Now, she's engaged to Roman Reigns. Oh, how I despise him with a burning passion.
It's been many years since I've been deep into my thoughts like this. I remember something inside of me snapped to where I casted aside Ashley for other people. Oh, but not just her. Roman and Dean, too.
I remember meeting those two back in 2010. Back in our FCW days when we would wrestle one another and always go out for a beer once in awhile after our matches. Two-years later, we came into the WWE as The Shield, one of the most dominant factions in all of WWE. After I met with Hunter and Stephanie in the past, they offered me more money and power if I joined with them and just like that, I ended The Shield two-years later with a simple steel chairshot to their backs and left them with broken hearts and broken spirits. Ah, those were the days. Nothing really lasts forever.
After reminiscing for quite some time about the past, I heard something that sounded like two people moving quickly in the halls of the prison cells.
"Ha-Ha, Hunter and Steph. Nice to see you both again." I smiled.
"Rollins, it's time to finally get you out of here." Hunter said in between words.
"Already?" I cackled. "It's about time you two shown up. I've been waiting here for days."
"We apologize for the inconvenience, Seth. We've been busy and now that we're here, it's time to finally get you out of here." Said Stephanie.
Hunter and Stephanie proceeded to unlock my cell and then after the door was opened, I was finally free. The three of us snuck out of the prison without alarming the security or the other prisoners.
It was time to take care of business.
{Fast Forward}
Roman
A couple of days passed and Ashley was feeling so much better after her therapy session with Dr. Muller. I noticed a huge change in her when it came to her confidence and how she carried herself with the biggest smile on her face. It was breathtaking.
We woke up on a beautiful, rainy day. I didn't have to wrestle for awhile after doing my first title defense a few days ago, and I was able to spend time with Ashley for awhile. As always, we would watch some TV shows on Netflix like The Office while I cooked some more Samoan food for the both of us.
"Enjoying the show?" I asked with a smile.
"I am! I was missing you while you were cooking."
"Aw, I'm sorry." I said, looking down at her with a playful frown.
"I swear, Roman, that whole therapy session actually helped me and I feel like a whole new woman!" She said.
"That's really amazing to hear, babe." I said, kissing her lips.
We both went to the kitchen and finished the rest of dinner. After, we both went back to continue the rest of the Netflix series for the rest of the day. Moments like these were always something that I cherished without a care in the world.
Soon, the both of us were going to find a wedding planner so we could start planning for the big day between us. I couldn't help but to smile at the thought of Ashley finally becoming my wife before next year.
Marriage was something I've always wanted to experience in my life, and now it's finally coming true. I couldn't wait to become Ashley's husband in the near future. Knowing that our lives were taking a turn for the better brought a smile on my face.
And thankfully, the therapist has been a huge help in getting Ashley back towards her older self and she's also been more confident in herself, too. I was proud of her, and myself, for overcoming so much in our lives.
While we were heading off the to sleep for the night, Ashley laid in my arms and we continued to watch a movie to end off the night. Everything was quite peaceful, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
"Ready to start planning for our wedding, babe?" I asked.
"You know I am! I cannot wait to see what the future brings for us, Roman." She replied with a warm smile before falling asleep in my embrace.
And just like that, the both of us feel asleep for the night and focused on finding ourselves a wedding planner that would give us the perfect wedding.
