Chapter 3) Meeting Dean Ambrose

I walked backstage and noticed Roman Reigns sitting on a bench with a bottle of water next to him while he tying his hair into a bun. He noticed me walking across from him as a smile began to spread across his face.

"Hey, how was the match?"

"It was good." I smiled. "I defeated Becky, and I'm feeling exhausted if you ask me."

"I'm sorry that you're feeling exhausted, but I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your match tonight."

"Thank you!" I smiled.

"Oh, Ashley!" He paused, "I forgot to mention that I'm hanging out with Dean Ambrose later after the show if you'd like to join us. We could use a third member since we don't have anyone else to hang out with; and we'd love to have you join us tonight for dinner. It's the least we could do since you had a really great start tonight for your debut on the main roster."

"I'd love to join you guys. I just need to get changed into my regular clothes after I take my shower and I will be there as soon as possible."

"Alright, let me know when you arrive!"

I wrote down my phone number and gave it to Roman before I walked to my dressing room and took a very quick-paced shower. I put on my plain white shirt and some black leggings afterwards and applied some make-up on my face and styled my hair. After getting dressed, I walked out of the arena and pulled out my phone to send Roman a small message.

"Where are you guys?" I asked.

He replied, "We're at this restaurant down the block called Cherry Street."

Arriving to the restaurant, I realized that Roman was looking down at his phone with a smile on his face. However, I didn't see Dean anywhere in sight. I felt dumbfounded for a moment and walked up to greet Roman.

"Hey, Roman. Where's Dean?" I asked.

He shrugged.

Dean out of the blue crept up from behind and surprised me, making me slightly jump and letting out a small shriek of fear.

"What the hell?"

"I'm sorry. I had to do that." He said, laughing nervously.

"Well, that terrified me!" I shouted.

"I'm sorry, Ashley. I didn't mean to upset you." Dean apologized.

"You didn't upset me. I just get scared when people come up from behind me and surprise me like that. I'm just not fond of surprises."

We made our way into the restaurant as Roman let out the chair and sat me down; pushing my chair in carefully. I watched him sit beside me while Dean sat across from us. It felt great getting to know Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose for the first time. I never expected myself to interact with two of my co-workers on my first day on the main roster.

"Hey Ashley, it's nice to meet you. I apologize for scaring you earlier. I just like to surprise people when I first meet them. I hope it's no hard feelings." Dean said, pausing. "I know I apologized for the third time now, but I feel terrible about doing that to you."

"Dean, I'm not mad at you. I just didn't expect you to come up from behind me like that. What an introduction, if anything." I laughed.

"Oh, and Ambrose, I need you to do me a favor." Roman said.

"What's that, Rome?"

"I forgot to get myself a glass of wine. Could you get some for me?"

"Alright, alright. I'll get the wine." Dean rolled his eyes and left the table.

Roman picked up the menu and was debating on what to eat while I kept staring at him with awe. After a moment of looking at him while his hair was laying down on his shoulders and gazing upon the menu, he quickly realized I was staring at him and cocked an eyebrow. "Is something wrong?"

"No, nothing's wrong."

"Are you sure, Ashley?" He replied.

"Yeah. I'm just still somewhat introverted because I've never hung out with many people from the business before. I was offered by Miz and Ziggler to hang out with them awhile ago, but I turned them down since I barely knew them. I only talked to them about WWE and their experience with it over the years. Nothing more."

"Want my thoughts about the business, Ashley?" He asked.

"Sure, fire away."

"Well," He said clearing his throat. "Although WWE is one of the most biggest wrestling companies in the world, our boss, Vince McMahon, is pretty strict on us when it comes to following scripts for promos and that we have to train and work out on a daily routine. We also have to include a healthy diet to keep our bodies in better shape. Other than that, it's a pretty great industry and there's many people that you'll get along with. Some you will most likely despise and many that you'll consider family once you get to know them."

"So you're telling me that Vince is actually strict when it comes to us following scripts?"

"Yeah, I wouldn't want to get on his bad side if I were you. Hunter's usually more easygoing but lately, he's been acting a little different and being shady towards everyone. Vince, on the other hand, has always been ignorant."

I shook my head, "I won't. I wouldn't want to risk my job making a wrong move or say something that he wouldn't approve of."

Minutes passed and Dean came back with the wine for him and Roman. He began sitting down in front of us with the two glasses of wine in his hands and placed the glasses onto the table. "I'm back. Here's your wine, Rome."

Dean paused.

"Oh, where are my manners?" Dean looked at me with guilt. "Ashley, would you want some wine?" He asked.

I shook my head, "I'm good, thank you for the offer."

While they drank some wine, the waiter arrived to our table and asked what we wanted to order from the menu.

"I appreciate you guys wanting to take me out and also wanting to get to know me. I apologize if I'm making things awkward between the both of you because of me being the new wrestler around the company."

"It's no problem and no, you're not making anything awkward. We enjoy your company. Anyways, what was your thoughts on your debut and the match?" Roman asked.

"Honestly, I was scared to perform in front of a huge crowd, let alone seeing thousands of people chanting my name and cheering for me. It's nothing like Ring of Honor or NXT."

"Trust me, you'll get used to it, kiddo." Dean said.

I smiled at them both and I discussed my passion of wrestling to them. An hour passed and we finally finished our meal and had to drive to our hotel to relax for awhile after a long night of wrestling.

"Hey, need a ride back?" Roman asked.

"Yeah, I'd love that. Thank you."

I stepped into Roman's black Range Rover along with Dean and he drove us to the hotel for the night. I talked with the both of them about their past when it came to careers and lifestyles before making it to the hotel for the night. It was a night to remember.

It was nice making a couple of new friends in this company. It felt great getting to know some new faces and I felt like this was going to be a great start for me.

Hopefully...
