After we got back to our hotel, we had a couple of days to spare before the Rumble. Ashley and I decided on grinding in the gym for hours on end to make sure that we were fully prepared for our matches. When the Rumble was over and SmackDown had passed, I was planning to visit my family back in my hometown of Pensacola, Florida. Hopefully, Ashley would want to meet them. I haven't spoken to my family in awhile because of my chaotic schedule and my new relationship. Meeting my family would hopefully make Ashley feel a lot better after everything that has happened.

I approached Ashley with caution and cleared my throat, "Hey, Ashley?"

"What's up, babe?"

"I was thinking that after SmackDown on Thursday, I wanted to ask you if you'd like to meet my family back in my hometown of Florida? I haven't seen them in quite awhile and I feel like you should meet them for the first time."

"I'd love to but what if they don't like me?" Ashley asked in concern.

I chuckled, reeling her into a hug. "Not like you? Ash, my family loves the people who make me happy. They'll love you and you have nothing to worry about."

"Are you sure?"

"Positive." I reassured her with a kiss while I tied my hair into a low bun.

"Ready for the gym?" I asked.

"Yeah."

While we prepared for the gym, I packed my duffel bag with water bottles and some clean clothes. The Rumble has me worried to the bone; because I've never had a huge victory like this in my career before. I've been keeping my Rumble victory a secret from everyone, and even Vince is keeping this a secret from Hunter and his own two children, Stephanie and her brother, Shane.

Arriving to the gym, I sat down my duffel bag and began lifting the weights. I laid down and put my headphones on and listened to some Drake while working out. Usually working out whilst listening to music motivates me to work harder when it comes to wrestling.

Ashley
I couldn't wait for the Royal Rumble on Sunday. Roman and I have been working incredibly hard lately and making sure that were fully prepared before walking into the arena. I was also apprehensive at the thought of visiting his family, too. I had no idea what his family was like. Would they like me? All I was familiar with was that he's part of a huge bloodline of Samoans; given how his cousins are: The Usos, Rikishi, Tamina, and surprisingly, The Rock.

I also had music in my ears while I started lifting weights and completed some simple workouts. I couldn't wait to hopefully win the championship on Sunday against Charlotte Flair. I hope that Roman becomes victorious in the Royal Rumble this year along with me becoming champion. That'd be a dream come true.

Roman
After we finished working out, we both took a shower. I had a small surprise planned out for Ashley in the meantime. We both left from the gym and I escorted her to my vehicle, sitting her down on the passenger's seat.

"Comfortable?"

"Yeah. I'm also very hungry, Roman."

I chuckled, "I guess this is your lucky day."

I turned on the car and made our way to the place that I had in mind.

"Where are we going?" She asked.

"You'll just have to wait and see."

We made it as I pulled over and seen her looking confused, allowing me to slightly laugh.

"What's so funny?" She asked.

I held her hand and walked her forward. "You'll see, baby."

Ashley looked stunned as there was a small cabin that I recently bought and went inside. There were two glasses of red wine and candles on the table, along with a beautiful couch and bed.

"Oh my gosh!"

"Do you like what you see?" I smiled.

"I love everything about this place!"

"I'm glad. Because guess what?"

"What?"

"Well, this is what I've been dying to do with you lately." I said. I chuckled, "Would you want to know what the surprise is?"

"What's the surprise?" She asked.

I walked over to my car and opened the trunk of my car. I had hidden a small present and brought it to her with the biggest smile on my face. "Open this."

I watched her open the small present that contained a small teddy bear and another written note of mine.

"Ashley, I know this is like the small gift I had for you earlier and still, it doesn't end from here. I have a surprise for you at the end comes WrestleMania. Also, this little cabin that I've bought is for the both of us to spend time together and tonight is your night."

"This is perfect," She teared up, "I needed this more than anything." Ashley started to hug me while I gently pressed my lips against the crown of her head.

"I know that you've been scared and anxious because of Seth; and I felt like doing this would help ease your worries. Let's not worry about him or anyone else because tonight, it's just the both of us and nobody else."

I poured in a small glass of wine and made some popcorn while turning on the television. I turned on Netflix while making her night worthwhile. She always loved watching movies with me and it made me feel at ease.

"What movie do you want to watch?" I laid back on the couch.

"Anything you'd like!" Ashley said.

Spending time with Ashley before the Rumble was memorable and I cherished every moment I had with her. Little does she know, I have something huge planned for WrestleMania; whether I win or lose, I couldn't wait for this moment to come and nobody knew about it except for me.

We proceeded to watch the movie and I realized that she fell asleep in my arms not even thirty minutes later. I carried her in bridal style to the bed and laid her down next to me. I'm so blessed to have this woman in my life, and she's made me the happiest man in the entire world.
