I am not afraid of the storm that comes my way

When it hits, it shakes me to the core

And makes me stronger than before

It's not a question about trust

But will you stand with us?

---

The four practised using the chain launcher.

''Together.'' Faith said.

Kai, Cole and Jay wrapped their chains around the rock, while Wu's and (Y/n) fell short of their goal.

Cole stood by her side, trying to help her.

Kai walked over to Wu.

The other boys walked over, looking at Kai.

They then launched their chains, wrapping it around the rock. Then, a fifth chain wrapped around the rock.

Everyone looked to see Wu, smiling. Kai stood next to him, a smirk on his face.

Hearing a growl, they looked up to see a dragon, flying above them.

''Now let's see if son of the Spinjitzu Master can ride a dragon.'' Faith challenged him.

They got in their vehicles and followed it.

The dragon sniffed. ''She smells your Oni blood.'' Faith said, and (Y/n) looked at Wu. ''This will not be easy. I'll keep her close to the ground.'' Faith flew in front of the dragon.

''All right, guys! We need to slow the dragon down and get Wu on!'' Kai said.

Zane fired his chain launcher at the dragon, wrapping it around its neck. ''Ha, ha!'' He cheered.

The Lightning Dragon turned its head and sent lightning down the chain, with Zane groaning as the lightning went through him. The chain came out of the launcher.

''Aim for her wings.'' Faith told the ninja. ''Stay away from her jaw. Work together.''

Kai, Jay Cole and (Y/n) fired their chain launchers, wrapping around the dragon. However, that did nothing to stop it, as it kept flying.

''Don't think.'' Faith told Wu.

Kai strained as he tried to keep the launcher in his grip. ''You can do it.'' He told Wu.

Wu glanced at the chain and made his way over to it, landing on the wing of the vehicle.

''Ride it, son of the Spinjitzu Master.'' Faith said, and Wu glanced up at the chain.

Grabbing it with his hand, he began to move up the chain. Grunting as he did so, he stood on the back of the dragon.

Using his arms to keep his balance, Wu smiled. ''I'm doing it... I'm doing it!'' He cheered.

''Woohoo!'' Jay cheered.

''Nice one, Wu!'' Cole cheered.

''Go Wu!'' (Y/n) cheered as well.

Suddenly, the dragon looked at Wu and broke free from the chains. Flying high up into the air, the others could only watch. Electricity crackled as the Lightning Dragon fired at Wu, missing him every time.

Wu was thrown from the dragon, and he fell, screaming.

Faith, just in time, caught Wu.

Wu gasped, realising he hadn't hit the ground.

Coming to a stop, Wu smiled proudly. ''I did it!''

''You may not be ready to face Firstbourne, but you are starting to look like a Dragon Rider.'' Faith replied.

---

Faith looked at a map. ''Hm... To get to the Dragon Armour, we need first to get past this mountain.''

In the distance, a helicopter whirred.

They turned around to see one of the hunter's helicopters flying towards them.

''We were followed!'' She shouted, and the ninja got into their vehicles.

They sped off, with the helicopter close behind.

Seeing a cave, Wu pointed at it. ''We'll lose them in there!''

''Looks like his first instincts kicked in,'' Jay said.

(Y/n) turned to see Jet-Jack, flying next to Jay and Zane's vehicle, as well as Wu's and Faith's as well.

''You think you can outrun us?'' Jet-Jack asked her.

Faith turned her face towards Jet-Jack, before looking back at what was in front of her. ''Heavy-Metal? You're like... me?'' She asked, shocked.

''Not like you. Better!'' Faith retorted, flying away from her.

Jet-Jack had been too focused on Faith that she flew into a rock, groaning as she did so.

Seeing a rock pile in the distance, Jay said ''Bad instincts Wu! You have very bad instincts!''

''Hold on!'' Cole said, making the vehicle fly over the rock pile.

Iron Baron landed on Faith's vehicle, making Wu fall off but luckily grab onto the vehicle only just. He used the mechanical chain on his arm to grab Faith's Dragon Blade. ''Who wields the Dragon Blade now, Heavy-Metal?'' He asked, looking at her.

''It's Faith!'' She declared, grabbing the blade.

The two grunted as they fought for the blade, with Iron Baron winning and trying to stab her with it. He accidentally stabbed the screen, and sparks of electricity burst, crackling.

Faith looked over the side and saw Wu, and held out her hand, trying to help him up. ''I'm not going to lose the son of the First Spinjitzu Master yet!'' She shouted.

''Son of the First Spinjitzu Master?'' Iron Baron said, looking at her. He pulled the blade out of the now broken screen and grunted as he came closer. Using her foot, she turned the wheel.

Iron Baron bounced off the vehicle before landing on the wing, clutching on with his mechanical arm.

The two jumped off the vehicle, and onto Cole, Kai's and (Y/n)'s vehicle.

Iron Baron's Hunters came up behind him in their vehicle, and he hopped on, leaving the one he was just on to crash and explode.

''Wu was right, there's a way out!'' Kai said.

''And I think there's too many on this vehicle.'' (Y/n) said.

''Hold on,'' Cole said, narrowing his eyes.

''We'll never outrun them. We need to stop the Dieselnaut.'' Faith said, looking back at the hunters.

''How about we take it? She taught us how to thread iron? Didn't she? Work Together!'' Cole said, holding up his chain launcher.

Kai fired his chain launcher at the Dieselnaut, latching onto it. ''Awesome!''

''Just like the dragon.'' Faith told Wu.

''Remember,'' Kai said to Wu. ''confidence.''

Wu nodded and leapt onto the chain, wobbly balancing on it. He almost fell off the chain, but luckily, he grabbed onto it. Like a koala bear, he climbed up the chain, to the other side.

They watched as Wu fought the Hunters on the vehicle, making the guy with no legs fall off and kicking Muzzle off as well.

''Get out,'' Wu ordered Arkade.

''Make me, kid.'' Arkade retorted.

Kai launched his chain launcher at Arkade, wrapping him in chains. ''It's all yours!''

The group got close to the Dieselnaut with their vehicles and hopped on.

'''Hah hah! We should teach him how to drive next!'' Jay said, holding onto the Dieselnaut with his hands, and his legs on the vehicle.

''Uh-oh.'' Cole said, looking up to see the helicopter.

(Y/n) and Cole climbed to the giant chain launcher, firing a chain at a hunter vehicle that had gotten too close.

''Go!'' Jay cheered.

''Yes!'' Kai exclaimed.

Turning the giant chain launcher towards the helicopter, (Y/n) smiled.

''Now I've got you,'' Cole said, firing a chain at the back of the helicopter.

Iron Baron screamed as his helicopter went down, a trail of smoke coming from where the chain had hit.

The Ninja cheered, and Cole moved out of the giant chain launcher's seat.

Turning around, he saw two hunter vehicles behind them.

''Uh-oh!'' He said, and (Y/n) looked at the hunters.

Going to the back of the Diselnaut, Faith disconnected the chains. Seeing what she was doing, (Y/n) came and helped.

Seeing Jet-Jack appear, (Y/n)'s eyes widened as Jet-Jack fired her chain launcher, the chain wrapping around Faith.

Faith screamed as she was taken up into the air before Jet-Jack made her way over to the other hunters. Faith was dragged along, before clutching on the end of a pipe. Wu watched as she struggled to hold on.

''Baron doesn't know where the armour is.'' Faith said to Wu. ''But you do! Go!''

''I won't leave you.'' Wu declared. ''I have to have Faith. I need you!''

''You need the Dragon Armour.'' She replied, before crawling over to a bolt and taking it out.

Wu only watched as Faith was taken. ''No!'' He shouted. Faith dropped the bolt.

The others watched as part of the Dieselnaut disconnected, leaving the hunters with the other half.

---

Using a telescope, Cole saw a person wearing a hat buried in the sand.

''We have to go down and save her,'' Wu said.

''No, we have to get the Dragon Armour,'' Kai replied, putting his hand on Wu's back. ''In case you've forgotten, they don't have the map, and we do.'' He said, holding up the map.

''Kai is correct,'' Zane replied. ''And it appears it could be a trap.''

''Oh, really?'' Jay said, narrowing his eyes. ''Really? It takes a nindroid to figure that out? Eh, sorry, Wu, but we can't go out there.'' He apologised to the young master. ''If we want to go home, we need to find the Firstbourne's Nest.''

(Y/n) sighed.

Wu snatched the telescope from Cole. Looking through it, Cole looked at the others, with (Y/n) beside him. ''Well, maybe more of his memories came back.'' He said. ''Something that could help us in a situation like this.''

''Is that true?'' Kai asked Wu. ''Do you remember more?''

Wu sighed. ''I can't lie. They haven't. But my father told me I have to have Faith.'' He turned to them. ''And without her, we would've never gotten this far. Besides... Ninja never leave friends behind.'' (Y/n) glanced at Cole.

''Then we've got your back,'' Kai said with a smile, placing his hand on Wu's back.

The ninja advanced towards Faith.

''They must have left her here for the elements to finish her off,'' Wu said, walking forward.

(Y/n)'s eyes glowed orange, but no one noticed.

Wu took the damaged hat off Faith, and she looked back at him, wearing a gag. ''Are you okay?'' He asked, pulling it off her face. She coughed.

''You should not have come.'' She said. ''It's a trap!''

The Hunters burst out of the ground, holding weapons.

''And it's a trap,'' Jay said, dropping his weapon.

(Y/n) facepalmed. ''I should've said something...'' She muttered.

---

''Can you pass a roasted lizard stick up here?'' Jay asked. ''I'm hungry too. No? No takers?'' He said when no one replied. ''Ah, that's okay. I'm kind of watching my figure, anyway. Ha, ha.''

(Y/n) was on her side of the wooden structure, chained. She closed her eyes, wishing she had tried to stop them.

Cole looked at her, concerned. ''Are you alright?'' He asked.

''Yeah, I'm fine.'' She retorted, sarcastic, looking away from him.

''Hey, you don't need to blame yourself, people make mistakes, that's all.'' He replied, a small smile on his face.

Listening to the other conversation, Cole joined in. ''No, you're the annoying one.'' He said, making (Y/n) chuckle.

''What are you, the party pooper?'' Jay asked Kai.

''Mr Party Pooper to you,'' Kai answered.

''Har, har, Hair Gell,'' Cole said, making them laugh, as well as (Y/n).

''How can you all make jokes at a time like this?'' Wu asked.

Kai laughed. ''You got this one, Jay?''

''Well, when all hope is lost, sometimes a good laugh is all you need to stay positive. Helps cope with what's bad, while opening your eyes to what's good.'' Jay replied.

''I understand, Jay,'' Wu said, turning his face away from the Master of Lightning. ''You are the annoying one.''

''Heh?'' Jay said, confused.

The others laughed until he joined in too.

''Did I-- Did I do that right?'' Wu asked. ''A joke?''

''Yeah,'' Jay replied with a smile.

Everyone laughed, and Iron Baron came over. ''What is so funny?'' He asked.

''What is funny is you feeding them this food, to cover the taste of your lies.'' Faith retorted.

Iron Baron only laughed. ''Well I'd rather be eating food with them than stuck on a pole with you!''

It was now the hunters time to laugh.

''He only cares for himself.'' Faith said. ''If he gets the armour, he'll have no need for you. Except to kiss his hand.''

The hunters gasped.

Iron Baron laughed. ''Let me ask them, Heavy-Metal.'' He turned to the hunters. ''How can you believe anything she says when she hid behind a mask?''

''Oh, yeah, yeah, that's true.'' The dude with no legs replied. ''That is definitely not what I had expected.''

''It's he who is the fraud.'' Faith said, glaring at Iron Baron. ''He forced me to wear the helmet, just as he forced you to be his slaves.'' The hunters glanced at each other. ''We've all heard Baron's stories about how he fought an army of Oni. Well, look around. We are on Oni land and yet has anyone seen a single one?'' She asked.

Seeing them shake their heads, she continued. ''No. You have not. Because his stories are just that, stories. The Oni left these lands long ago, yet he keeps you in fear of them. His power over you is built on lies!'' The Hunters turned their heads in her direction. ''Brave Hunters died so that he could get the Dragon Blade. How do we not know it was not him who took their lives?''

Iron Baron looked at his Hunters.

They began whispering. Iron Baron, angry, pulled out his sword. ''Not another word!'' he yelled.

He walked towards the wooden pole. ''Now, show of hands. Raise them if you're with her. So I can raise my Dragon Blade to lop them off!''

''That's not fair! You bullied them!'' Jay shouted.

''I said, not another word!'' Iron Baron replied, walking over to the wooden structure.

He turned on the electricity, making them laugh.

Wu gasped, his memories coming back. ''I remember. I remember it all.'' He groaned, and broke free from the chains, leaping into the air and landing on his feet.

He turned to the ninja, now with a moustache and goatee.

''Oh my gosh! He grew a moustache!'' Jay exclaimed, excited. Wu stroked his goatee. ''And a goatee!'' He added.

''Get him!'' Iron Baron ordered.

Using his staff to bring a hunter off their feet, the hat they were wearing landed on Wu's head.

''You will let my ninja go, or else.'' Wu declared, holding the staff in front of him.

''Or else what?'' Iron Baron asked.

''Or else I will reclaim my father's armour, and ask his dragon to end your rule.'' Wu retorted. ''I am the son of the First Spinjitzu Master, and this is my oath.'' He declared. He spun his staff, and advanced on Iron Baron, pointing it at him.

''All right!'' Jay exclaimed. ''Master Wu's back, baby!''

---

''So, you just confirmed it.'' Iron Baron said. ''The legend is true. He who reclaims the armour controls Firstbourne.''

''That's not what I said.'' Wu corrected him.

''You seem like a wise master,'' Baron replied. ''Are you really ignorant enough to take on me and my entire camp?''

The hunters ran at Wu, he fought with his staff, taking them down two at a time.

As he fought, Cole encouraged him. ''Don't give in, Master Wu. We've got your back.''

''Yeah. If you can cut us down first.'' Kai added.

Baron grabbed Wu's staff with his mechanical hand. ''Before you do something foolish, let me make you an offer. How about you get me the armour or else we can see right now good you really are with that staff.''

''You want me to take you to the Firstbourne,'' Wu replied.

''Get me the armour, and I'll send your Ninja home.'' He offered, his mechanical hand letting go of Wu's staff.

''Do I have your word?'' He warily asked, cautious.

''Don't!'' Faith cried out.

''Trust me.''  His voice was as sly as a snake's. ''There's nothing I want more.''

Wu put his hand to the side and dropped the staff.

Iron Baron laughed.

''Oh no!'' Kai shouted.

''I'm sorry.'' Wu apologised. ''But we are left with no other choice.''

Iron Baron put his hand on Wu's back, directing him. ''Ah. We go now. To the Firstbourne!''

The Hunters cheered.

''Don't worry Ninja. Have Faith.'' Wu said, looking up at them before turning his gaze towards the horizon.

''I hope he knows what he's doing.'' Faith said.

''We've learned not to question him,'' Kai replied.

---

Kai sighed. Looking at a shadow on the ground he said ''I hope that's your falcon, Zane.''

(Y/n) had her eyes closed, silent.

''My receptors pick up that it is an avian scavenger, a harbinger of our approaching demise.'' He replied, looking down.

''It is a bone picker.'' Faith said. ''And Zane is right.''

''Why does Zane always have to be right?'' Jay whined. ''Can't it just be enough that we're tied to giant poles in the middle of the desert? And don't forget Wu is being held hostage, forced to steal Iron Baron the Dragon Armour so that he can become invincible!'' He said, sounding like he was about to break down in tears. ''Can't that be enough?''

A vulture came close to Cole, pecking at him. ''Shoo! Don't come to me! Shoo!''

(Y/n) opened her eyes, and looked over at Cole.

''Look. Something is going on...'' Kai said, looking over at the Hunters.

The Hunters bickered.

''Probably arguing which one of us to eat first,'' Jay replied.

''Oh, how am I going to be an optimist about this?'' (Y/n) mumbled.

''Dragon Hunters do not eat people.'' Faith said, looking at Jay.

''Well, that's good to know, Faith. So it isn't all bad.'' Jay replied, his smile faltering.

''This is our chance,'' Kai spoke. ''While they're distracted, let's see if we can get these, unh, poles rocking.''  He groaned. ''By rocking our bodies from side to side.''

(Y/n) lifted her head, turning her head to look at Kai.

''Yeah, I'm not doing that,'' Cole said.

''That won't be helpful,'' Zane replied.

''Maybe it can work...'' (Y/n) said. Cole looked at her as if she'd gone crazy.

''Guys! Come on! Teamwork.'' He urged them. He grunted again. ''If we do it all together...''

''Kai's right.'' (Y/n) said, starting to do what Kai was doing.

The others followed.

''I hope the son of the First Spinjitzu Master figures this out. Because this is ridiculous.'' She said, shaking her head.

''Hey. It's better than nothing.'' Jay replied, starting to do the same as the others.

Faith sighed.

---

Kai's plan was starting to work. The Ninja's poles began to sway, making Kai smile. ''It's working, guys. Just a little more.'' Kai urged the ninja.

''I can't believe this is working.'' Faith said.

''We do have a little Faith,'' Jay replied, looking at her.

''Teamwork. Teamwork. Teamwork.'' The Ninja said in unison, making the poles sway.

Jet-Jack looked at Jay. ''What do you think you're doing?'' She asked.

''Ah, nothing.'' Jay lied, stopping. Jet-Jack pulled out her blade. ''They are going to eat us!'' He screamed.

Jet-Jack cut the chains on Jay, and the other's too.

Cole groaned, landing on the hard ground. ''You ever heard of stairs?'' He asked grumpily.

He helped (Y/n) up, and they walked to the others.

''I don't know if I should thank you, Jet-Jack... or prepare to fight.'' Faith said, unsure.

''Or if you're going to eat us...'' Kai said. ''Eat him first. He's filled with cake.'' Kai pointed to Cole. (Y/n) glared at him.

''Am not!'' Cole argued.

(Y/n) put her hand on his shoulder.

He looked at her and smiled, a slight blush on his cheeks.

''We got to talking, and this Dragon Armour business has gone too far,'' Jet-Jack said.

''Iron Baron speaks of serving his people, but he only serves himself.'' The dude with no legs added.

''Yeah. He's kind of a jerk.'' Chew-Toy added.

''Nah, he's more than a jerk, he's a fool.'' (Y/n) retorted.

''We fear that with Firstbourne by his side, he will become... unforgiving,'' Jet-Jack said.

The crowd of Hunters muttered.

''Wait, wait, you're telling me all this time, while they are getting closer to the nest, you guys are arguing whether or not to release us?'' Jay asked.

The Hunters muttered again.

''He's shown his true colours,'' Jet-Jack replied, walking forward. ''And they are colours no one likes.'' Walking up to Faith she said: ''I can put aside our differences... if you think you six can make a difference.'' She placed her hand on Faith's shoulder.

''We'll follow their tracks,'' Cole replied, walking to Jet-Jack. ''Let's go and stop them before it's too late!'' He cheered, raising his hand into the air, and so did the others.

After that, Cole walked over to (Y/n). She sat near the pole, thinking.

''Hey, (Y/n), can I tell you something?'' He asked, sitting down next to her.

She turned her head. ''Yeah?''

Cole scratched his nape. ''After all this time, I've been wondering.... do you like me?'' He asked shyly, blushing.

(Y/n) blinked. She looked into his beautiful brown eyes and smiled. ''Of course.'' She answered with a sweet smile.

Cole grinned. He took her hands, and they stood. ''What do you think the others think of this?'' He asked her.

''Why should we care?'' She replied, and Cole was pulled into a kiss.

His lips were surprisingly smooth, given he was the Master of Earth. His lips were sweet, and (Y/n) could feel his strong arms wrap gently around her, making her feel safe. The two pulled away from each other, hearing the Hunters cheer.

The two blushed, with Cole's blush being more noticeable and more intense than (Y/n)'s.

''Whoo!'' Jay cheered.
