I can't keep up with Malachi. The pain in my chest feels unbearable. I can feel something gripping me like a dark shadow. I look at my skin. I see black veins like tree roots starting to grow. I bite my lip. I have to break off of him. There's just two of us.
"Good news brother, we are almost there." He says.
"That's a relief." I mutter.
"Look yonder." He points.
My eyes widen. I see a ruin a couple of miles ahead. It's evil. I can feel the evil. It looks broken as statues crumble before my eyes. I have never seen this ruin before but by the looks of it, it looks ancient as the stars. Even so far, I can feel the darkness. I feel the same darkness that my wound burns with. I see orcs waiting there.
"That is the source of my power. I became a Dark Elf truly there. You will soon awaken. It's only a matter of time." He smiles.
"No." I kick him back.
He falls to the ground. Now's my chance. I turn and I start running. I don't even care about the pain in my chest. I have to get away from him. No matter how much my feet burn and the blood dripping from my wound. I feel the wind grabbing my hair pulling me back. But I am never going back. Unfortunately, as I run, I do not see the hill that we climbed. I start tumbling down it. I feel the rocks bang my back and impale my wound. I feel my hair dragging up the leaves. Then I feel like I've landed on something alive.
"Aragorn!" I jump.
