Ava's P.O.V.

"You should really go out and date! Get a boyfriend, go out and have dates." Ava's sister called out to her.

"I am so sick of you! Why don't you go out and date?" Ava shouted back at her.

Hi, I am Ava, a 17-year-old who is currently enjoying my teenage life, but of course, some people just have to ruin it. I really hate when people say these things.

"Go for a blind date, Ava. Why don't you just go out with someone? You should love someone, you know, to learn about life. You should at least start dating now. You will surely find your ideal man, even if he is on the other side of the globe."

I've never really fallen in love before and I never want to. What's so wrong being single anyways? Besides, just because everyone around you is dating doesn't mean you should too. True love can wait? Right?

A YEAR LATER

But things changed this year. On the first day of the school, I saw a really cute boy and I could confidently say, it was love at first sight. Then I got to know that he was a member of the most popular group in school.

His name was John, and he was the group's vice president. He was also undoubtedly the most handsome guy in school and so without wasting any time I decided to do some volunteer work for the group. I just wanted to get closer to him.

"Oh gosh! I am so late for school." Ava said, running as fast as she could to school.

Before going into the school I took out my mirror from my bag to check my hair but then someone crossed in front of me, startling me. I jumped which caused me to stumble and fall down, scraping my knee in the process.

End of P.O.V.

"Ouch." Ava moaned.

The guy turned around and gave her a hand to help her stand back up.

"Are you okay, Ava?" Jackson asked, peering into her face.

"H-huh?" Ava stuttered and looked up at him. "How do you know my name?" Ava asked him, her confusion apparent.

"We study in the same class, so how wouldn't I know you?" Jackson said, smiling.

"Ya! Jackson! Class is about to start . Hurry up." Alizeh called out to him from a distance.

Jackson nodded goodbye to Ava and ran towards Alizeh, after which they started the walk into school.

"Ahh! Emma! Please let me in. If you do this for me, I promise that from now onwards, I will only be into you." Michael pleaded with the girl who was taking everyone's attendance.

"Alright, fine. I am only doing this once." Emma said, giving in and taking his attendance.
