Somewhere in a weird, bright and beautiful place, Willow stood in the clouds. Is this heaven? They thought. Yes, it must be.

But then, who were they leaving behind? Their father, their adoptive father, their friends. Him. They were leaving him behind.

But the good thing is, they finally can see him  again. The one they'd spent so much time thinking about.

"Cedric!" Willow shouted running towards him, now they were in a field of flowers, the sun was shining bright.

"Hey, munchkin" he smiled, hugging them.

They teared up, they had missed his touch, his voice, everything about him for so long. Now, they were finally reunited.

"I finally came to join you" they smiled

"Munchkin, we need to talk" he said, gesturing them to sit on the grass

"What do you mean? Aren't you happy to see me?"

"Of course I am. But there's someone I brought with me who really wants to meet you"

Willow looked as a young lady with brown hair and green eyes sat down next to them.

"Mommy?" They said, crying slightly.

Their mother had died giving birth to them. They didn't know her. Not even a little bit.

"Sweetheart, look at how beautiful you've grown" she says, hugging her child.

"I'm so happy I get to meet you" they cry

"Me too, but, Cedric and I have something we need to discuss with you" she says

"Munchkin, I know you're happy here. But you can't stay here" Cedric says

"What? Why not? I'm dead aren't I?"

"Yes, but that's the thing. You won't be dead for long. You need to go back, sweetheart" their mom says

"What, no! I want to stay here with you forever!" They cried

"I know, munchkin, I want that more than anything else too. But, you need to go back, there's people there who need you" Cedric says "he needs you, willow. He needs you more than anything"

"Who does?"

"Draco. He needs you, sweetheart. You're his world. He can't live without you. It's killing him"

They thought, they did have people who needed them. But that didn't change the fact that they missed Cedric more than anyone. But, they knew they had to go back.

"It's what God told me, munchkin. It isn't your time yet" Cedric said softly

"It wasn't your time either!" they cried

"No, maybe not. But I know what is gonna happen, in the end, it was necessary" he says

"NO IT WAS NOT! YOU DESERVE TO LIVE WITH ME!"

"I know, munchkin, it kills me. It really does. But I promise, I'll be here. For you, look at the sky if you need me. I'll be here, and I'll answer you. One way or another, I'm always here and you can always find me in the stars and the sunsets" Cedric says softly

He wouldn't lie. He wanted to go back too. But things do not work the way that we wish sometimes.

"Hey, munchkin?" he says

"Yeah?"

smiles, "Take care of dad for me, okay? Tell him I say hi and that I love him. Tell my friends I say hello" he smiles, "Now. You've been here far too long. It's time you go back. They think you're dead, but you're not. Goodbye, munchkin. If you need me, you know where to find me" he says, hugging them one last time, tighter than all the rest, kisses their forehead, and he disappears into the distance as their soul returns to their body.

"Hey, I've got a pulse!" the doctor says, after hours of death, they were about to wrap their body for burring with Cedric's, but Draco insisted he have a little more time with them, even if they were dead.

When he heard the doctor declare a pulse, after them being dead for three hours, it was quite the shock, after he had lost all hope.

But before that, they sat in silence until Draco broke it.

"It's my fault you're gone. I should've told your father, I shouldn't have kept it from you or him. But I was afraid of what the Dark Lord would do. To you, and him. And me. I was selfish. Maybe if I told someone, you'd still be alive. I'm so sorry, darling. I know I have no right to even call you that. Truth be told, I can't imagine life without you." he laughs, "How stupid. Draco Malfoy, can't live life without some halfblooded Ravenclaw? But you're not just that. That isn't what is important." he continues

"You're the best person in my life. If I didn't have you, I don't know where I'd be. Sounds dumb but true. Very true. I'm so sorry, I am gonna miss you so much. I love you, I should've told you. Now, it is too late" he cried into their cold hand, scrapes and bruises present as he held it with the warmth of his.

***

Later that day, as Draco sat beside the love of his life, who was dead, he felt hopeless. Nothing could bring them back. They made a sacrifice for him, for everyone.

When he heard they had a pulse, after three hours, he was over the moon, he cried. That is rare for him. He hardly ever cried. But the whole school saw him cry that previous night. FULL on sobbing. Vulnerable. Broken. Probably looked stupid as hell, but eh didn't care.

Though they were not conscious, he could feel their presence anyways. They were alive, by some miracle. He tried thinking of how this was even possible medically. The doctors say they don't even know. Their condition was deadly, they fell from a height that was instant death, and many severe injuries'. Though the headmaster broke the fall with his dead body, it didn't affect the overall case much.

And so, it was a waiting game...

𝗔𝗨𝗚𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝟮𝟴𝘁𝗵 ...

Eventually Willow awoke. After two months. It was the end of august by that time. Almost time when they'd go back for their seventh year at Hogwarts. But, they're not. They are in no condition to do so. So, instead they'll enroll again next year. Though they'll be spending months in the hospital, it won't be that fun, but at least they'll have freedom to do almost whatever w they want.

But as they awake, and see the light of day shining through the window, they can't help but think about what Cedric told them. "He needs you. He can't live without you"

They knew damn well who he was referring to. Him. Out of everyone, it had to be him.

Why him? Why not someone else? I guess you can't question God. But it didn't add up. He didn't need anyone. Ever. He never needed anyone in his entire life. Why now? Why them? Something was weird about it.

By the time the war would happen, they knew they'd be ready to fight. But until then, all they had was endless books, actually tasty hospital meals, and the view of Big Ben outside their window. And that would have to do for now.
