• SUMMARY •

Stephanie was the nicest girl around. She always saw the good in everyone. She never knew why, it usually ended up with her looking a fool and getting hurt. She didn't seem to care, though.

She noticed the Slytherin boy in her classes had become withdrawn and quiet. She wanted to help. It was going to be tough. She was Muggle-born and everyone knew what Draco Malfoy had to say about the matter. 

His strong views on blood status had been blinding him his whole life. Stephanie showed him that Muggle-borns could be more than just that. He hated her warm and bubbly persona but something about it just wouldn't let him leave her alone. She brightened up the dark hole he was forced to hide in and he liked it. But he would never tell her that.

Despite this, she wasn't stupid. His cold aura and snappish remarks didn't pull the wool over her eyes. She knew she was getting through to him. He couldn't let her, though. The more time he spent with her, the more he grew to care for her. He had a secret. A secret that would destroy every inch of her innocence.

He couldn't.

- At first, Draco is very dismissive of her and doesn't really acknowledge her

- After a few attempts, he begins calling her that slur, in hopes it will steer her away, but she has heard it too many times for it to affect her now

- They are paired together in potions and his grade starts slipping so she offers to help him study, which he reluctantly accepts

- The first study session is strictly that

- After the first study session, he begins to make normal conversation (asks about her day etc, however, she must be aware he isn't particularly interested in her day etc, he just wants her to know he's appreciative of the emotional help without sounding too appreciative) - if that makes sense

- One potions class, they make Amortentia and he 'can't smell anything over her perfume', so she is now aware he has feelings for her but she doesn't mention anything about it other than a little chuckle to herself, which he questions, but she just brushes it off

- She joins the Slug Club

- She starts to see Draco more outside of class and study sessions but notices he tends to blow her off a lot and not show up without any notice, standing her up

- One time after standing her up, she found him entering the Room of Requirement so she followed him to see what he was up to. When she sees him fixing the Vanishing Cabinet, she makes herself known to him, not knowing the severity of the situation. He gets really angry and practically drags her out of there, telling her about a 'dangerous mission' and how he doesn't want her caught in the crossfire.

- She goes to the Slughorn's Christmas Do and invites Draco to make up for following him. He doesn't show up so starts hanging around with Blaise, not expecting him to arrive because he was still angry at her. When he does, (very late) he gets annoyed and protective of Stephanie around Blaise and his sexual intentions. A fight breaks out between Draco and Blaise before teachers get involved. Stephanie screams at Draco for being so reckless and asks why he would do that. He screams back at her, telling her he loves her for the first time. Snape escorts him out etc and she kind of just goes to bed, mulling things over in her head.
{this is really important so please keep this as accurate as possible}

- After they speak about what happened, she confesses her feelings for him (not in love) as well. He gets annoyed, mainly with himself, for doing the exact thing he told himself he wouldn't do. 

- When Harry nearly kills him in the bathroom, she notices Draco rushing out of the hall, being tailed by Harry so she follows. She watches everything and witnesses Harry attempting to kill the poor boy. She's obviously distraught and tells him she loves him back for the first time.

- Every second she wasn't in lesson, she stays with him in the Hospital Wing for a few days until he is fully better. They do simple things like play cards, read each other books and Stephanie does his homework / gives him all the class work he missed.

- She notices the Dark Mark on his arm right before he is 'discharged'. They get into an argument (quietly considering it's meant to be a secret) and he blames her for falling for him. She obviously is fuming and ignores him for days, until he is breaking the Death Eaters into the school.

- He gets another Hufflepuff to pass her on a message telling her not to go to the Astronomy Tower that night. So what does she do? Obviously she goes to the Astronomy Tower. As she reaches the top, she is greeted by Dumbledore and Harry. Herself and Harry are ushered to the lower level where she sees that whole scene go down

- Everything starts to make sense to her about the 'dangerous mission' he was telling her about and worried about her getting caught up in. 

- As Draco and the Death Eaters are leaving, she chases Draco out and he's obviously like bruh wtf. 

After this, you can decide what happens.

Bellatrix offers her to either join them and become a Death Eater or she dies.

If you are carrying the story on to Deathly Hallows, please choose that she becomes a Death Eater. If you're ending the story at Half-Blood Prince, you may as well kill her off and make Draco sad idk.

- When Draco is called back to join the Death Eaters during the Battle of Hogwarts, Stephanie convinces him to stay. When Harry turns out alive (surprise) Draco throws him a freaking wand because we really were ripped off in the film, just saying.

- After the Battle of Hogwarts, they end up getting their own place together because he wants to spend some time apart from his father so he can fix their relationship before its too late.

- Stephanie stops at NOTHING to fix the unfixable. She is determined that nothing is unfixable, some things just require a larger effort than others to fix.

- Whenever her and Draco have an argument, he gets aggressive. He doesn't get extremely violent, just grabs her by the forearm tightly or grabs her upper arms and gives her a bit of a shake. Draco is clearly very mentally unstable in his Sixth Year and we mustn't stray from this. He is not a cute fluffy ferret. He is a feral ferret who may have rabies, we don't know for sure.

- If you continue the story to DH, Bellatrix hates her after finding out she is Muggle-born and terrorises her mentally the whole time she is there. Draco is defensive if his family are horrible to her but if any of the other Death Eaters say anything, he keeps quiet. 

- Narcissa is reasonably nice to her for caring for her son so much. She can tell how much Stephanie loves him and appreciates that. Narcissa wants the best for Draco and if that means being with a Muggle-born, she had no problem with it. Stephanie actually alters Narcissa's views of blood status.

- Harry constantly warns Stephanie to stay away from Draco at all costs.

- Stephanie is EXTREMELY stubborn yet patient. When she sets her mind to something, there's no backing down - no matter how long it takes her, which is why she is so resilient when it comes to Draco. 

- Pansy relentlessly teases her because she is helping Draco and obviously Pansy is OBSESSED with him. Stephanie is too focussed on helping Draco to care, though, so it doesn't affect her too badly.

- After Draco begins spending more time with Stephanie willingly, whenever Pansy does say something in front of Draco, he sticks up for Stephanie and sends a cheeky wink when Pansy pouted and turned away.

- After Christmas, he surprises her with little meaningful gifts every so often.
