Naomi padded into the Ruler's den. She sighed and hissed, "Dappled Snow!"

Dappled Snow opened their eyes, scrabbling in their nest. "W-what happened?" They relaxed when they saw Naomi.

"Nothing. I just- I mean, I saw how VineClan struggled with the leopards. They might have left the territory, but they're still prowling the place, hungry for kits."

Dappled Snow sat up and looked at the ghostly figure of Naomi. "But our best fighters are injured. We have no cat to spare."

"That can be remedied." 

Naomi murmured some sort of spell, which began to cause Dappled Snow's paws to shimmer a bright gold. Slowly, their claws lengthened and sharpened, and they ended in a tiny, gold tip.

"Use my gift wisely."

And Naomi was gone.
