"OMG Is that Rei the hedgehog?!"

"She's so beautiful!"

"Have you heard that she confirmed to have a crush on her secret admirer?"

"What? Really? Do you know who it is?" "Dunno, but whoever he or she is, they're very lucky!"

"Stunning I might add."

The fans at the bar erupted in cheers as a black female hedgehog with blue stripes took the stage, microphone in hand. Her hair styled elegantly and clad in a stunning crimson mini dress, she made her entrance, the click of her black high-heeled boots echoing as the lights dimmed and the guitar began to play.

The spotlight shines on Rei in the center of the stage, unaware that someone is watching her from behind the curtains.

" 'I think I must have met him yesterday...

He waltzed in from the

Outskirts of east Westopolis~

He seems to be the name.

On everybody's lips

So, I told myself I wouldn't fall for it.

But then...

" 'Quicker than a flash,

He had me at hello

He took me by the hand,

We started dancing slow

I didn't wanna get attached but now,

I'm far too close~

And he knows just what he's doing

" 'I didn't know, when I met Shadow.

I was giving him control over me.

Now I'm stuck in his melody.

Let me go, let me go Shadow!

You're not getting any more out of me.

I don't want your cruel melody~' "

Shadow suddenly appears on stage a few feet from Rei, who blushes in embarrassment at her crush's unexpected arrival. Despite her shyness, she's thrilled. The crowd cheers loudly, fangirling over him as he closes his eyes and takes a deep breath into the microphone. Almost immediately, Shadow begins singing alongside her in his deep voice.

" '~She knew what to say

To sweep me off my feet

I should've never heard

A word she said to me

" 'I was comfortable

With ignorance is bliss

Cause I told myself

I wouldn't fall for it

But then...

" '~Quicker than a flash,

She had me at hello

She took me by the hand,

We started dancing slow.

And he knows just what he's doing!~' "

As Shadow dances with Rei, their intense passion reveals the depth of their love, making the song resonate even more. While some might claim "He is mine," the crowd understands that Shadow and Rei have grown closer throughout their years as idols.

Their voices conveyed pure love. Rei gazed at Shadow with a calm expression that instantly made her nervous. Yet they couldn't look away, their eyes locked: icy blue meeting fiery crimson as they sang and confessed their desire to be together forever. Still, Rei wondered if he loved her in return. With a soft sigh, she shed a tear, leaving Shadow stunned.

"...I should have known not to trust Shadow.~"

" '~I should have known not to trust Rei...' "

"Tonight, I'm saying goodbye Shadow...~"

" '~We know just what we're doing~' "

" 'I didn't know when I met Shadow~' "

" '~Oooh ooohhh ohh oh oh oh' "

" 'I was giving him control over me.

Now I'm stuck in his melody.' "

" 'Let me go, let me go Rei~

" 'I don't want your cruel melody.~' "

" '~I should have known not to trust Rei' "

" 'I should have known not to trust Shadow~' "

After finishing their song, the two noticed the audience's awe and reluctance to see them leave. Rei saw Shadow escorting someone out, which saddened her, prompting her to call it a night. As she was leaving the stage and heading home, someone suddenly grabbed her wrist.

Pulls her into a dim light, " 'I don't want your cruel melody?' you say?" Shadow leaned in close, his deep voice making Rei shudder with pleasure. "You better watch those pretty lips of yours, or I might take them away from the crowd without a sound." 

She bit her lower lip, suppressing the noise as his fingers slipped under her dress, slapping her butt and causing her to yelp. Quickly regaining her composure, she replied, "You flatter me, Shadow, but I won't let you unless you're ready for stage 3."

With her teasing words, Shadow wrapped his arms around her waist, pulled her into the changing room, and locked the door. He gripped the back of her black and blue quills while his other hand traced her lips with his thumb, his crimson eyes glowing in the dim light as he kissed her.

Days, weeks, and years passed, and they remained devoted to one another, never falling for anyone else or breaking each other's hearts again. A simple song would always remind them of their bond.
