Over a week after introducing Valeria to the team, she was quickly made a member. She was vouched for by Nathan, M'gann, and Superboy when Batman was skeptical, given that she is a clone, but he relented.

Currently, Kid Flash and Aqualad were playing holographic air hockey, with the former eating a banana, while Robin, Miss Martian, Spider-Man, and Spider-Woman stood next to them and watched.

Computer: Recognized: Superboy. B-0-4.

They turned around and saw Superboy walk out of a zeta tube with a scowl on his face.

Spider-Woman: Hey, Superboy. How was Metropolis?

Superboy simply walked through the hologram, which made Spider-Woman frown under her mask. Then they heard someone clearing their throat.

???: Ready for training, everyone?

The rest looked over and saw Martian Manhunter and Black Canary walking toward them.

Miss Martian: Black Canary. Uncle J'onn.

She walked to her uncle and hugged him. Once she separated, Martian Manhunter placed a hand on her shoulder.

Martian Manhunter: M'gann. I was in the neighborhood, so I thought I'd see how you were adjusting.

Miss Martian: A few bumps, but I'm learning.

Martian Manhunter: That's all I can ask.

She glanced at Spider-Man with a soft smile on her face as Black Canary walked towards him and shook his hand.

Black Canary: (to Spider-Man) Good to see you again, Spidey.

Spider-Man: You too, Canary.

Black Canary looked at Spider-Woman.

Black Carary: So she's what all the fuss was about last week, huh?

Spider-Woman: Yeah. Warren was being a little too clingy.

This brought a chuckle out of Black Canary before she noticed Superboy walking away.

Black Canary: Stick around. Class is in session.

Superboy turned around and crossed his arms as Black Canary stepped onto the platform in the middle of the room, which glowed a bright light.

Black Canary: I consider it an honor to be your teacher. I'll throw a lot at you, everything I've learned from my own mentors...

She grunted in pain as she took off her blue jacket, revealing a bandaged wound on her left arm.

Black Canary: And my own bruises.

Miss Martian: What happened?

Black Canary: The job.

She tossed her jacket to the side.

Black Canary: Now, combat is about controlling conflict, putting the battle on your terms. You should always be acting, never reacting. I'll need a sparring partner.

Spider-Man was about to volunteer, but Kid Flash beat him to it.

Kid Flash: Right here, yeah

Spider-Man: You sure about that, Kid?

Kid Flash: Yeah. What's the worst that could happen?

Spider-Man glanced at Black Canary and then looked back at Kid Flash.

Spider-Man: Alright, have it your way.

Kid Flash walked up to Black Canary, finishing his banana in the process.

Kid Flash: After this...swish.

He tossed the banana into a trash can like a basketball.

Kid Flash: I'll show you my moves.

Spider-Man and Spider-Woman looked at each other, holding back their laughter. They both knew exactly what was about to happen.

Black Canary smirks before throwing a punch at Kid Flash, who blocked it. However, she quickly swept his legs, knocking him down to the ground. The platform showed a text box that said KID FLASH STATUS: FAIL where he landed as Spider-Man and Spider-Woman snickered.

Kid Flash: (groans) Oh, man. Hurts so good.

Black Canary helped Kid Flash back up to his feet.

Black Canary: Good block. But did anyone see what he did wrong?

Robin: Ooh! He hit on teacher and got served?

Kid Flash: Dude!

Black Canary: He allowed me to dictate the terms of—

Superboy: Oh, please. With my powers, the battle's always on my terms. I'm a living weapon and this is a waste of my time.

Spider-Man: Did Jackal hit you too hard in the head or something last week? The first fight was a three-on-one, and he still kicked our butts, remember? The only reason we managed to beat him the second time was because we had some sort of a plan.

Superboy: Warren was just an unstable man who had nothing to lose, and he got lucky. Trust me, I could've beat him without your help, M'gann's, or Valeria's.

Spider-Man narrowed his eyes at Superboy, but Black Canary smirked.

Black Canary: Prove it.

Superboy raised an eyebrow before walking up to Black Canary. The two took a battle stance, and Superboy threw a punch. But Canary grabbed his arm and tossed him away, making him land hard on the ground as a text box saying SUPERBOY STATUS: FAIL appeared where he landed.

Robin started laughing but stopped when Spider-Woman elbowed his ribs.

Superboy got up and growled at Canary.

Black Canary: You're angry. Good. But don't react. Channel that anger into—

Superboy charged at Canary again, but she jumped over him and swiped his feet, knocking him down again.

Robin stifled his laughter, while Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, and Miss Martian looked at him worriedly.

Black Canary held out her hand, but Superboy didn't take it as he got up on his own.

Superboy: That's it. I'm done.

Black Canary: Training is mandatory.

Superboy glared at her, but then a holographic screen of Batman appeared.

Batman: Batman to the Cave. Five hours ago, a new menace attacked Green Arrow and Black Canary.

A second screen appeared that showed a large human-like robot fighting the Justice League.

Batman: The attacker was capable of studying and then duplicating the powers and abilities of its opponents. Arrow called in reinforcements, which nearly proved disastrous, as our foe gained more and more power with each new combatant.

Kid Flash: Whoa. One guy with the powers of the entire League?

Batman: In the end, it took eight Leaguers four hours to defeat and dismantle the android.

Robin: An android? Who made it? T.O. Morrow?

Batman: Good guess, Robin, but Red Tornado doesn't think so.

Martian Manhunter: The technology bears the signature of Professor Ivo.

Aqualad: Ivo? But Ivo's dead.

Black Canary: So we all thought. Or hoped.

Batman: To make certain this threat is permanently neutralized, we're sending two trucks carrying the android's parts to two separate S.T.A.R. Labs facilities in Boston and New York for immediate evaluation. Every precaution is being taken. We'll have four additional decoy trucks to create confusion in case Ivo or any tries to recover the remains. You will split into undercover teams to safeguard the two real trucks.

Kid Flash: Yes! Road trip.

Superboy: So now we take out your trash?

Batman: You had something better to do?

Superboy didn't respond as Aqualad looked into his tablet.

Aqualad: Coordinated received. On our way.

Everyone ran towards the hangar, but Black Canary grabbed Superboy's arm to stop him.

Black Canary: When you're ready, I'll be here.

Superboy remained silent as he walked towards the hangar.

Litchfield County
August 3, 20:08 EDT

The team, all of them wearing motorcycle suits, sat on their motorcycles as they sat the android parts being loaded into two of the six trucks with the help of the Justice League. M'gann's was purple, Kaldur's was black, Wally's was yellow, Dick's was red, Superboy's was red with a black stripe, Valeria's was red with a white stripe, and Nathan's was blue.

Valeria noticed Superman looking directly at them for a second before looking away. She looked to her left and saw Superboy glaring at Superman. She let out a sigh before putting on her helmet.

Nathan: You turn on your facial disruptor, Val?

Valeria: Did it before we left.

Nathan: Good.

He reached for the device behind his right ear and turned it on.

???: S.T.A.R. Boston is a go.

???: S.T.A.R. Manhattan is go.

Batman gave out a hand signal, and the six trucks drove off. Three trucks drove in one direction of the highway, while the other three drove the other.

Superboy, Dick, Nathan, and Valeria drove behind the Manhattan truck, while M'gann, Wally, and Kaldur followed the Boston truck.

Dick: If dislike is the opposite of like, is disaster the opposite of aster? See, instead of things going wrong, they go right.

Nathan: Dude, stop with the weird dictionary spiel. Seriously, I can't sleep some nights because of you.

Valeria: (smirks) I think he's got a point.

Nathan: Not helping, Val.

Superboy didn't say anything.

Dick: Uh, clearly, you're not feeling the aster. What's wrong?

Superboy: Canary. What business does she have teaching combat skills to a guy with super-strength?

Valeria: Are you serious? Fighting stronger people is part of the job. Canary learned that the hard way. Same with Nathan, and by extension, me.

Superboy pulled away from them.

Valeria: (sighs) What's up with him today? He's angrier than usual.

Nathan: He's probably had a bad day. Just give him some space.

Dick: He just needs time to cool off. A quiet mission could clear his head.

Suddenly, both Nathan and Valeria's Spider-Senses blared. They glanced at each other before looking behind them, seeing a squadron of small, robotic, black-and-green monkeys flying towards them, all of them making digital monkey noises.

The monkeys landed on the truck in front of them.

Valeria: What in the—

Kaldur: Robin, Superboy, Spiders. Our truck is under attack.

Nathan: Figured that. So is ours.

Superboy: I hate monkeys.

Dick: Robot monkeys. (laughs) Totally Ivo's tweaked style.

He pressed the screen on his motorbike. The front wheel changed its position to the middle of the bike, while the rear wheel detached and transformed into a combat drone.

Dick: (to Superboy) Hey, Ace. Switch your ride to battle mode.

Superboy: No point.

He jumped off his motorbike and landed on the roof of the truck, leaving his motorbike to crash in front of Dick.

Dick: Or not.

He jumped off his bike and shot a grappling hook at the truck, pulling himself to its rear before kicking a monkey off.

Nathan and Valeria pressed a pair of buttons on the handles of their bikes, and strings of web shot out of the headlights and attached to the rear of the truck. They pressed a button on the central console, and turrets came out of the taillights and started shooting webs at the monkeys while Nathan and Valeria jumped off and landed on the truck to fight the monkeys that were cutting through the truck.

As Superboy, Dick, Nathan, and Valeria fought off the monkeys, the drone and bikes shot at them from a distance, but some of the monkeys jumped on them, destroying all three of them.

As Superboy fought, one of the monkeys shot a laser into his eyes, blinding him. Four of the monkeys carried him off the truck and dropped him off onto the road.

Valeria: SUPERBOY!

At the same time, Nathan got overwhelmed by the monkeys and ended up getting blasted off the truck, landing harshly on the road.

Acting quickly, Superboy used his super-hearing to navigate himself to the truck and Nathan shot two web lines at two lampposts before pulling himself back and releasing, sling-shotting himself towards the truck as he activated his web wings.

Meanwhile, Valeria and Dick (with a pair of escrima sticks) fought on top of the truck, as the monkeys ended up cutting a big hole in the roof. Just then, Superboy landed on the truck and fought some of the monkeys with his eyes closed.

Valeria's Spider-Sense blared, prompting her to look back and see Nathan gliding towards the truck while evading laser fire from the monkeys. She shot a web line at Nathan, who caught it and pulled him to the roof to have him join the fight.

Unfortunately, some of the monkeys blew out the tires, making the truck lose control. Robin saved the driver while Nathan and Valeria pulled the two guards out of the hole and jumped off the truck just as the truck fell to its side. The truck rolled on the road a few times before stopping.

The back door of the truck exploded as the monkeys took the crate and flew off into the distance. Superboy pushed the truck off him, saw the monkeys flying away, and jumped after them.

Dick, Nathan, & Valeria: Superboy!

Superboy ignored them as he chased the monkeys down.

Kaldur: Aqualad to Robin. We lost our cargo. Did you...?

Dick: It's gone. And so is Superboy.

Kaldur: Aqualad to Superboy. Radio your position. We'll help you.

Superboy: I don't need help. Don't want any!

Kaldur: Superboy?

Valeria: (sighs) I'm pretty sure he just ditched his comm.

Wally: Super. Now we can't even track him.

M'gann: He's out of my telepathic range. This Professor Ivo, if he is alive, seems to be two steps ahead of us. Maybe...we should contact Red Tornado?

Kaldur: Tornado always tells us to handle things ourselves. And the mission can still succeed if we recover the parts before they're reassembled.

Wally: That's a great plan, except for the part about us not knowing WHERE TO LOOK!

Nathan looked at a destroyed monkey robot and got an idea.

Nathan: Wait. Did anyone hear anything about the decoy trucks?

Kaldur: No. Just yours and ours were attacked.

Nathan: Yeah, I think I might know why. And if I'm right, we might even know where the parts are headed.

He walked to the destroyed robot and took out his phone. He plugged one end of a cable to the phone, and the other to the monkey's back.

Nathan: If the decoy trucks were attacked, we'd have heard by now. This means that these monkeys knew which trucks to hit because...The parts themselves have GPS! The monkeys could track the signal.

Dick: Can you track them?

Nathan: (scoffs) Do you really have to ask, Rob?

He tapped on the screen.

Nathan: Looks like both sets of the parts are converging on...Gotham City.

Kaldur: That far south? M'gann and I won't get there anytime soon. I'm sending Kid on ahead to meet you. Aqualad out.

Nathan put the destroyed monkey on his shoulder and webbed it in place as Dick used his gauntlet to call his motorbike.

Dick: Definitely a disaster.

Valeria: Heavy on the "dis."

Nathan quietly groaned in annoyance.

Gotham City
August 3, 21: 21 EDT

Carrying the two crates, the robotic monkeys flew to a train headed into the city. One of the carts was opened by some other monkeys, allowing the carriers to enter.

Immediately after that, Superboy landed on the cart. He ripped a hole in the cart before entering it, noticing that the crates were opened and empty.

He looked ahead and saw the robot monkeys surrounding a short, old, ginger man wearing a white shirt, red bowtie, and green vest.

Man: Oh. Hello.

Superboy: You? You're Ivo? I'm whelmed.

Ivo: You're one to talk. Now since when does the big blue Boy Scout have a brat?

Superboy: He doesn't.

Ivo: Yeah. If you say so. Have you met my Mobile Optimal Neural Quotient Infiltrators?

All but two MONQIs flew at Superboy, who quickly started destroying them.

Ivo: (sighs) And after all of the trouble I went through finding an acronym for MONQI.

After destroying the last two MONQIs, Superboy panted while glaring at Ivo before his eyes widened.

???: Access: Captain Atom.

A yellow beam of energy sent Superboy to the back of the cart. Ivo then walked up to him.

Ivo: Since Professor Ivo's magnificent MONQIs don't float your boat, maybe my amazing AMAZO would better suit you.

He steps out of the way, revealing the same, large, human-like android that gave the Justice League a hard time.

Ivo: Or better slay you.

Superboy gets back up on his feet.

Superboy: Give me your best shot.

Some of the remaining MONQI's cackled.

Ivo: Please. My android has the strength of Superman. What chance do you have?

With a battle cry, Superboy lunged at AMAZO and threw several punches at it, but the android successfully blocked every single one. Superboy did manage to land a punch, but AMAZO caught his fist before he could land another.

Superboy groaned as he felt the bones in his hand cracking.

Ivo: Oh, sorry. Did that strike a nerve? AMAZO, strike a few more.

AMAZO hit Superboy with an uppercut that threw him to the cart's ceiling and made him crash into an empty crate.

Superboy slowly managed to get up.

AMAZO: Access: Black Canary.

It opened its mouth and let out a powerful sonic cry. Superboy held his ears in pain before getting thrown to the back of the cart. Superboy got up, still stunned by the attack.

AMAZO: Access: Flash.

It then used super-speed to run at Superboy. Before he could react, Superboy was hit by multiple punches that were too fast for him to respond to before getting knocked down.

Ivo: Oh, no wonder Daddy keeps you hidden away. You're not really doing justice to the old S-shield, are you? Ha.

Superboy got up and threw a punch at AMAZO, but...

AMAZO: Martian Manhunter.

The android's body became intangible, forcing Superboy's fist to go through its head without any damage. AMAZO quickly punched Superboy hard enough to make him fly through the back of the cart, landing on a bulldozer before it quickly followed him.

AMAZO: Access: Superman.

It picked Superboy up by his shirt and punched him so hard, that Superboy ended up flying into a classroom of a school building in the outskirts of the city.

AMAZO looked back at Ivo, awaiting new orders from his creator.

Ivo: Finish him. Priority Alpha.

AMAZO jumped off the train, following Superboy's trajectory.

Entering the city limits of Gotham, Robin rode his motorcycle while two web lines were attached to the back. On the other end of the lines were Spider-Man and Spider-Woman, who had their ends of the web lines attached to their chests while using their web wings to glide behind Robin, while Spider-Man still had the damaged MONQI webbed over his shoulder.

The three of them noticed Kid Flash running up to Robin, matching his speed.

Robin: So you changed too.

Kid Flash: You kidding? (shivers) I feel naked in civvies.

He noticed the web lines and looked up to see Spider-Man and Spider-Woman gliding while attached to Robin's bike,

Kid Flash: Where are your bikes?

Spider-Woman: Monkeys busted 'em. We had to improvise.

Kid-Flash: That's fair, I guess. You still tracking the parts?

Robin: I'm just following Spider-Man's lead. Spidey, where are the parts now?

Spider-Man: They were headed through Gotham, but they veered.

In his mask, Spider-Man saw the tracked parts entering a building.

Kid Flash: You know where they went?

Spider-Man: Yeah. Gotham City Academy.

Robin: Wait. Dude, are you telling me they're at my school?!

Superboy was thrown into a trophy cabinet by AMAZO. It then picked him up, spun around, and tossed him into a set of lockers.

Superboy got up and saw one of the lockers having a drawing of Superman. That left a bitter taste in Superboy's mouth as he punched it before marching towards AMAZO. He threw a punch, but AMAZO blocked it and punched Superboy through a wall and into a chemistry lab.

Superboy hit the far wall and fell on the floor. He looked up at AMAZO, who towered over him.

Superboy: That...all you got.

AMAZO: Access: Captain Atom.

It shot an energy beam out of its hand, blasting Superboy through the wall and into the school gymnasium.

While Superboy struggled to get up, he heard a clapping noise. He looked to his right and saw Ivo applauding on the bleachers while being flanked by two MONQIs.

Ivo: I don't usually attend these things in person, but... (chuckles) This was too good to miss.

AMAZO: Access: Superman.

Superboy got up and faced AMAZO. He punched AMAZO, but it had no effect. Instead, AMAZO landed several blows to Superboy and knocked him down.

It was about to slam both its fists onto Superboy to finish him off, but Kid Flash sped into the gym and carried Superboy away.

Kid Flash: Yoink!

AMAZO just slammed the ground as Kid Flash lowered Superboy next to Robin, who threw a pair of birdarangs at the android.

AMAZO: Martian Manhunter.

AMAZO made his body intangible, making the birdarangs go through it before exploding.

AMAZO: Access: Red Tornado.

A red tornado surrounded AMAZO's lower body as it flew toward Robin, Kid Flash, and Robin, sending them flying.

It then walked up to Kid Flash.

AMAZO: Access: Captain—

It was interrupted when Spider-Man swung in and kicked the android away. While it was in the air, Spider-Woman charged up a Venom Punch as she flew towards it.

AMAZO: Martian Manhunter.

Its body became tangible, making Spider-Woman go through it without any damage.

AMAZO: Access: Black Canary.

It let out a sonic scream that sent Spider-Woman onto the floor, creating a small crater where she landed.

Spider-Woman groaned in pain as she slowly got up. Then she saw AMAZO land in front of her.

AMAZO: Access: Superman.

It caught a punch from Spider-Man before grabbing his throat and lifting him up.

AMAZO: Access: Spider-Man.

Spider-Man: (widens his eyes) Oh, crap.

Its arm that was holding Spider-Man began generating orange electricity that started shocking Spider-Man. Spider-Man yelled out in pain as he felt his skin burning. Then, a second later, he felt himself getting increasingly energized like he was absorbing the energy and storing it in his body.

Spider-Man couldn't hold any more of that energy in. He let out a yell as he released a massive blast of orange electricity, making AMAZO let him go as it was thrown across the gym.

Ivo: (raises his eyebrows) Well...That's very interesting.

Spider-Man slowly got up while groaning. He then looked at AMAZO and saw it looking right at him but not attacking for some reason.

He then noticed Superboy going for a punch.

AMAZO: Access: Superman.

It caught Superboy's fist and punched him into the bleachers. Robin

Spider-Man: 'Why didn't it attack me? It looked right at me. Why wouldn't it—'

Then he looked down, and that's when he saw the reason.

He can see right through his hands. He looked down at his body and saw that he could see right through it as well.

Spider-Man: 'Am I...invisible?'

Then he became visible again just as he saw Spider-Woman lunge at AMAZO with her stingers.

AMAZO: Access: Flash.

He sidestepped Spider-Woman and grabbed her arm before flinging her at one of the basket's backboards, destroying it.

Robin threw a birdarang at the android.

AMAZO: Martian Manhunter.

It extended its arm and deflected the birdarang before swinging at Robin, who jumped out of the way as it slammed Superboy deeper into the bleachers.

It then saw Kid Flash running at it, so it grabbed him and put its arms around him in a bear hug.

AMAZO: Superman.

It started crushing Kid Flash, making him yell in pain before it saw an arrow flying towards it.

AMAZO: Martian Manhunter.

Its body became intangible, making the arrow pass through and making it releasing Kid Flash from its hold.

The arrow landed next to Robin, who noticed the green fletching, as Kid Flash got up and ran.

Superboy ran up behind AMAZO, but it noticed him.

AMAZO: Access: Black Canary.

It grabbed his arm and tossed him into the bleachers on the other side of the gym. It then moved it away from an incoming birdarang before turning to Robin.

AMAZO: Superman.

Its eyes glowed red, but Spider-Man swung in and grabbed Robin by his cape, pulling him away from AMAZO's heat vision attack.

AMAZO: Captain Atom.

It raised its hand and shot an energy beam through Spider-Man's web, cutting it off. This made both Robin and Spider-Man fall back to the ground.

Then Spider-Woman landed on AMAZO's back and drove her stingers towards its neck, but it failed to pass through its metallic skin.

AMAZO: Access: Black Canary.

It grabbed Spider-Woman's arm and slammed her into the ground.

AMAZO: Spider-Woman.

A pair of metal stingers came out of its wrists. It raised its hands up, but Kid Flash sped in and grabbed her away before the android drove the stingers into the ground.

AMAZO: Red Tornado.

It sent a tornado towards Kid Flash and Spider-Woman, sending them flying into a wall.

Back on the bleachers, Superboy looked around and saw the entire team was downed. That's when he got a brainwave.

Superboy: Access: Black Canary.

Ivo: Oh, yawn. Normally, AMAZO would study and mimic your abilities during battle, but what's the point? Only the arachnids had any original material, but the rest of you are such poor copies of the original.

The two MONQIs cackled, but Superboy finally got an idea.

Superboy: So everyone keeps saying. IT MAKES ME ANGRY!

He jumped towards Ivo, who frantically jumped out of the way as Superboy landed in front of him.

Superboy: WANNA SEE ME CHANNEL THAT ANGER?!

Robin, Kid Flash, and the Spiders got up and saw what Superboy was doing.

Kid Flash: Great, he's gone ballistic again.

But Spider-Woman quickly caught on to what Superboy was planning.

Spider-Woman: Not necessarily.

Ivo: AMAZO, protect your master! Priority Alpha!

He jumped off the bleachers just before Superboy could slam him.

AMAZO: Captain Atom.

It shot an energy beam at Superboy, blasting him to the top of the bleachers.

The two MONQIs began lifting Ivo, but they were shot by electric webs, shorting them out and making them drop Ivo.

Ivo: What the—WHOA!

He was picked up off the ground by an invisible Spider-Man, who swung around the gym.

Spider-Man: Who's up for a game of Hot Potato?

He tossed Ivo to Spider-Woman, who caught him as she swung in the opposite direction.

Spider-Woman: Sign me up for that!

Swinging low to the ground, Spider-Woman threw Ivo to the ground. Just as he was getting up, Robin ran up behind him.

Robin: Which one here wants next?

He kicked Ivo in the back, sending him sliding across the court, as Kid Flash ran towards him.

Kid Flash: Ooh, ooh. Me, me.

AMAZO: Access: Superman.

It stomped on the ground, creating a shockwave that sent Kid Flash into the bleachers.

Spider-Woman landed behind AMAZO and webbed its hands before pulling back, while Spider-Man landed on AMAZO's chest, his hands sparking with bioelectricity.

Spider-Man: This'll hurt.

He placed his hands on AMAZO's head and began shocking the android.

Spider-Man & Spider-Woman: GO! GO! GO!

AMAZO: Spider-Man.

It released a Venom Blast that knocked the two Spiders away as Robin threw a birdarang at AMAZO.

AMAZO: Martian Manhunter.

Its body became intangible. This caused Spider-Man and Spider-Woman to release their hold on AMAZO as the birdarang passed through its body. It then saw Superboy landing in front of it before throwing a punch at its head.

AMAZO: Superman.

It made its body tangible again, but Superboy's fist was halfway through its head when it did. This caused the android's head to explode before the rest of its body fell to the ground.

Robin quickly ran to the disabled android.

Robin: Help me disassemble him. Now!

Kid Flash: Dude, the guy has no head.

???: Don't take any chances.

They looked over and saw Aqualad and Miss Martian running/flying towards them. Miss Martian landed next to Nathan and held his arm.

Miss Martian: Spider-Man. You okay?

Spider-Man: Yeah, I'm fine. I mean, I just found out I can turn invisible, but other than that, I'm peachy.

Miss Martian widened her eyes as she smacked her hand against Spider-Man's chest.

Spider-Man: Ow! What the—

Miss Martian: You can't just drop something like that so casually!

Spider-Man: (shrugs) What can I say? It's part of my charm.

Miss Martian shook her head, unable to keep a smile from forming on her face, as Spider-Woman helped Superboy up to his feet.

Spider-Woman: You okay, SB?

Superboy: I'm fine. (turns to Robin) Feeling the aster.

Robin looked at Superboy with a grin.

Kid Flash: Hey. Where's Ivo?

The team looked around, noticing Ivo's absence.

Spider-Man: How did he run off so quick? He's an old man that was being bounced around the place like a soccer ball.

Spider-Woman: Don't look at me. I have no idea.

Back at the Cave, the team stood in front of Batman, Red Tornado, Black Canary, Martian Manhunter, and Green Arrow as Aqualad told them of the aftermath of AMAZO's dismantlement.

Aqualad: The AMAZO android is in pieces again, safely being analyzed at the two separate S.T.A.R. Labs. But Ivo escaped. And since he originated the tech, he's arguably more dangerous than the android.

Black Canary: Capturing the professor will be a League priority.

Martian Manhunter: But we understand your mission encountered other complications.

The team glanced at Superboy, who avoided their gaze.

Batman: Complications come with the job. Your ability to handle has impressed the League.

Superboy: The whole League?

Spider-Man and Spider-Woman looked at each other then at Superboy. They knew exactly who he was asking about, and so did Batman.

Batman: Given time, yes. Kryptonians, as you know, have very hard heads.

Superboy smiled softly.

Batman: Of course, there's no shame in asking for help. That's why the League exists. Because there are some problems even we can't handle individually.

Robin: Please. If we needed help, we'd never get the chance to ask. Look familiar?

He took out the arrow he recovered from the gym, believing it to be one of Green Arrow's, and handed it to Batman, who handed it to Green Arrow.

Robin: You were following us. Babysitting. You still don't trust us.

Batman: We didn't follow you.

Green Arrow took an arrow out of his quiver and held it next to the other arrow, and the team immediately noticed that the two arrows had very different arrowheads.

Robin: And that's not your arrow. But that means—

Kid Flash: Speedy!

Aqualad: He has our backs.

The two Spiders glanced at each other, both having the same thought, as Kid Flash snatched the mystery arrow from Green Arrow's hand.

Kid Flash: Souvenir.

Superboy cleared his throat, getting Black Canary's attention.

Superboy: I'm ready.

Black Canary: Good. Because I'm here.

Spider-Woman put her hand on Superboy's shoulder, which brought a small smile to his face.

Spider-Man felt someone tapping his shoulder. He looked over and saw Robin looking at him.

Robin: (whispers) You thinking about our archer friend?

Spider-Man: (whispers) Yeah. Speedy wears red, right?

Robin nodded.

Spider-Man: So why would the fletching of his arrows be green?

Robin: (whispers) That's what I'm wondering. If it's not GA, then who?

Spider-Man just shrugged.

Batman: Spider-Man. Spider-Woman.

The two spiders looked at the caped crusader.

Batman: There's something we need to discuss. Come with me.

He walked off. Spider-Man and Spider-Woman looked at each other before following him.

Once they were in a secluded area, Batman turned around to face the spiders.

Batman: Spider-Man. Based on your report, it seems that you have discovered another innate ability. Camouflage, correct?

Spider-Man: Yeah. Honestly, I didn't know I could do it to begin with.

Batman: And since you have that ability, it stands to reason that Spider-Woman has it as well.

Spider-Man and Spider-Woman shared a glance.

Batman: I suggest performing a genetic scan. If you have any other innate abilities, it's best that you learn to harness them sooner rather than later. (turns to Spider-Woman) Same with your stingers, Spider-Woman.

Spider-Woman: I'm sorry?

Batman: Not many metals are capable of striking the AMAZO android's shell without any damage. It would be best to find out what exactly are your stingers made of.

Batman walked away, leaving the spiders alone with their thoughts.

After a few hours, the entire went to their rooms to sleep, except Nathan and Valeria. The two were in the kitchen. Nathan was gazing into a microscope that was connected to a laptop in front of him, while Valeria rested her left arm on the counter while scanning the protruding stinger using a handheld device that was connected to another laptop. They decided to heed Batman's advice.

Valeria: I still don't understand why Batman insisted on us doing this. I mean, I know he said it could help us in the long run, but...

Nathan: See, that's the thing. I discovered my Venom powers and my camouflage in high-stress situations, and I was lucky to make the most of them. Batman's right. At least, once we're done with this, we'll know exactly what we're capable of and we won't have to be surprised.

Valeria: Yeah, I guess that makes sense.

Nathan: You sure you don't want your own set of Spider arms?

Valeria: Nah, I'm fine with just my stingers.

Just then, the laptops pinged. Nathan turned to the screen and read out the results on his.

Nathan: (sighs) Well, looks like we won't have to worry about any more surprises.

Valeria: Speak for yourself, Nate.

Nathan looked at Valeria and saw her staring at the screen with widened eyes.

Nathan: What is it?

Valeria: I mean...I knew my stingers were made out of some strong stuff, but...

Nathan: Val?

Valeria turned her laptop to let Nathan see it. Once he saw the results, he shared Valeria's look of shock.

Nathan: Nth metal?!

Valeria: Yep?

Nathan: But...That stuff is supposed to be extremely rare. How and why did Dr. Warren of all people even get some?

Valeria: Probably the same reason why he made me. Why Cadmus created Superboy. Why Mr. Twister showed up. Why Kobra and Sportsmaster managed to get their hands on Project Blockbuster and combined it with Venom.

Nathan: (sighs) This is crazy. What else are we missing here?

Valeria: Like Kaldur said: tip of the iceberg. And by the looks of things so far...it goes pretty deep.
