(3 POV)

On the day of her birthday, Aurora grew restless in her room and feels a discomfort on her finger, she goes to open the door but finds it locked, then she heard a voice calling for her.

"Aurora~"  The voice called that happened to sound like her godmother, but she was so in a trance she didn't notice.

Aurora came across a walk to find a hidden door and knocked on it and a maid opened in.

Aurora rushed past her as the maid called for her to wait.

"Princess?" The maid called out as Aurora ran off.

In the forest, Maleficent found Phillip on his horse looking for Aurora. He was startled when he saw Maleficent even to pull out his sword for his sheathe.

"I'm looking for a girl" He told him.

Maleficent looked unimpressed at him.

"Of course you are"

He then used his magic to put Phillip to sleep.

"I need a horse" Maleficent said as he looked to the side to see Y/n.

She looked away, pretending to look for something.

"Yes where are we going to find a horse, in the middle of the forest" 

"Y/n" Maleficent said.

After a lot of convincing Maleficent turned Y/n it a horse. They rode with Phillip asleep on his horse.

Back in the palace, Aurora's finger became more uncomfortable as she continued to hear the voice call out for her 

"...Into a sleep-like death. Aurora"

Back with Maleficent who was riding Y/n (That's what she said) as fast as he could to get to the place.

"Come on, Y/n!"

Back at the palace Aurora was still hearing the voice and finds a door to the dungeon.

"Aurora" The voice called out.

She opened the door and walked in, to find all the destroyed spinning wheels. She noticed the cursed spinning come together with the help of Maleficent's magic and walks towards it.

Meanwhile (Congress is fighting over where to put the capital, it isn't pretty) Maleficent frantically races to the castle.

"Faster, Y/n, faster!"

Back in the palace, Aurora finally reached the spinning wheel.

"She will prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel and fall into a sleep-like death. No power on Earth... A sleep like death"

Aurora, hypnotised by the spindle, touched the needle, pricking her finger. Her eyes close and she collapsed to the floor.

Maleficent then senses the moment happens.

"It's done" He said as he laid his head on Y/n.

The maid found Aurora's unconscious body and began to weep.

(Your POV)

We had finally made it to the palace with the unconscious boy.

I pulled the boy by his sleeves as we walked closer to the gate.

"They pulled the guards, he's waiting for you in there. If we go inside those walls, we'll never come out alive" I told him.

"Then don't come, it's not your fight" He then started to walk into the palace with the boy's unconscious body.

"You really do love me" I said as I began to follow him.

 "But I was more expecting 'I need you, Y/n'" I said pretending to be him."'You know I can't do this without, Y/n'" I continued

 "I can hear you, Y/n" Even though I couldn't see his face I know he was smirking. 

 "You act as though what I'm saying is untrue"

(3POV)

Inside the palace, Stephan is by Aurora's bed as she lies unconscious in her bed, the three fairies approach them.

"Look at her. Look at what you've done.

" She's only sleeping" Knotgrass said, trying to be positive.

Stephan slowly walked toward the faires.

"She's only sleeping, you say? She's only sleeping. She's only sleeping forever!" He shouted at them, making them flinch.

"Wha about the kiss?" Thistlewit asked.

" Yes! True love's kiss!" Knotgrass exclaimed.

"True love does not exist" He told them.

"But it's her only chance, Your Majesty." Flittle curtseyed 

Stepan in a blind rage hits  Flittle aside in and walked out of the room.

Maleficent and Y/n entered the palace and came face to face with Stephan's trap of massive iron needles set across the hall.

"I really feel welcomed with open arms" Y/n said sarcastically. 

As the began they descend into the iron thorns Maleficent was extremely carefully, only having once hit his shoulder on an iron.

Once out of the iron thorns they came across a guard, without words Maleficent instructed Y/n to let Phillip's body float causing the guard to come close enough to get a hard punch from Maleficent square in the face.

"Hmm" Maleficent hummed and walked over him.

Y/n couldn't help but smirk.

'Knows magic and knows how to punch? I'm so lucky'

(Back in Aurora's room)

"What are we going to do?"Flittle asked.

"We can't give up, can we? Come on, girls" Knotgrass tried to encourage her friends(?).

"But we don't even know where to start" Flittle replied.

"True love doesn't just fall from trees, you know" Thistlewit stated.

Outside Aurora's room, Maleficent wakes Phillip by dropping his body to the floor, the three fairies hear the noise and open the door.

"Pardon me. I'm embarrassed to say I don't know where I am" Phillip said.

"In King Stefan's castle." Thistlewit informed him.

Phillip got on his feet 

"This is where I'm meant to be. Odd that I can't recall how I got here"

"Why have you come?" Knotgrass asked him.

"My father sent me to see the King" He told them.

"Who is your father?" Knotgrass questioned him.

"King John of Ulstead"

"A prince!" The three fairies said and quickly drag him inside the room and pushed Phillip to  Aurora's bedside.

"Aurora" He said.

"He knows her" Thistletwit whispered. 

"Why is she sleeping?" He asked.

"She's trapped in an enchantment" Knotgrass

"Isn't she beautiful?" Flittle asked him.

"The most beautiful girl I've ever seen"

"Do you want to kiss her?" Thistlewit asked (smh, sure let a total stranger kiss the child, you, by the way, did a horrible job raising. Add five sins to this!)

"Very much" He said looking at Arorua's sleeping face. 

"Go on then" Thistlewit encouraged.

At the time Maleficent and Y/n enter the room and hid behind a screen to watch.

"I wouldn't feel right about it. I barely know her, we've only met once" He explained.

"Haven't you ever heard of love at first sight? Kiss her! Go on" Knotgrass

Y/n rolled her eyes at how the fairies where such halfwits they were.

Phillip leans close to kiss Aurora but stopped. 

"An enchantment, you say"

Knotgrass, Flittle, Thistletwit.

"Oh! Kiss her!" They exclaimed.

Phillip leans in for the kiss as Maleficent, Y/n and the three fairies watched in anticipation for but the kiss had no effect on the sleeping Aurora. (I don't know if it was just my screen but that kiss way a bit TOO long).

"You didn't do it properly!" Knotgrass shouted.

"It's supposed to be true love's kiss!"

Thistletwit: I was certain he was the one.

The fairies dragged Phillip away from Aurora's bedside.

"What are you doing?" He asked them.

"We have to keep looking!" Knotgrass said, ignoring his question as they threw Phillip out of the room and closed the door behind them.

"I told you" Maleficent said to Y/n as she sighed, saddened that it didn't work.

They left their hiding and walked over to Aurora's bedside.

" I will not ask your forgiveness," Maleficent said in a whisper his voice filled with regret and sorrow.

"Because what I have done to you is unforgivable. I was so lost in hatred and revenge. Sweet Aurora, you stole what was left of my heart, you showed me that there is love in my darkened heart  And now I have lost you forever"

"Aurora, thank you for shows us how beautiful life is and being a light to us in the mists of darkness" Y/n said holding on the girl's hand she raised with him as tears formed in her eyes. 

For the first time in years, tears rolled down Maleficent's face. 

"I swear, no harm will come to you as long as we live. And not a day shall pass that we don't miss your smile" 

With that Maleficent place a kiss on Aurora's forehead and Y/n give Aurora's hand a loving squeeze before getting up for the side of the bed.

As they turned to leave Aurora's eyes open.

"Hello, Godfather, Godmother." She greeted.

Maleficent and Y/n turned to face Aurora with tears in their eyes.

"Hello, beasty."

Y/n leaned in to hug her which Aurora returned as she smiles at Maleficent which he returned.
