(YOUR POV)

They continued to play courtly music as the servants pulled out the chairs for us to sit and placed a cloth over our laps. As we sat Maleficent when another group of servants place a cooked bird on everyone's plate.

"Hmm" I heard Maleficent hummed. 

"Bird" He said. 

I looked at him just in time to see the playfulness in his eyes. 

"Delicious" He said teasingly. 

I bite my lip and to a deep breath in before taking up to goblet filled with wine and drank it. 

'Don't worry Y/n 

"It there a problem?" Queen Ingrith asked.

I picked up an iron utensil. 

"It's the iron" I explained. 

" Majesty, as you are sensitive to flowers, she is averse to iron" Aurora explained as well. 

"I had no idea. Take it away at once" She ordered as a servant picked up the utensil. 

" I trust you'll be comfortable using your hands?" She asked, slyly. 

Suddenly the tension grew to become very awkward. 

Phillip cleared his throat.

"Such a warm spell of weather, isn't it?" Phillip asked. 

" It certainly is" Aurora agreed.

I heard a meow and felt something tugging my dress. I looked down to a cat. I quickly got the cloth on my lap and used it to shoo it.  

"Shoo!" I told it.

"Well, we have a small gift for Philip and Aurora... to celebrate their glorious future together" King John announced.

Just then a... golden crib was brought in the room.

"Oh, I simply can't wait to have a little one running through the castle again"

"This castle?" I asked. 

"Yes, of course. This will be their home"

"I hear Aurora has a castle of her own" King John said. 

"Yes, sir, I do" Aurora confirmed. 

"Yes... I'm curious" Queen Ingrith started but stopped, taking a deep breath in. 

"How did Aurora become Queen of the Moors?"  She asked. 

"I made her queen" Maleficent told her. 

"No- I mean Lady Y/n seems like a more suitable ruler after all Maleficent is your partner. How did you feel when Aurora was"  Queen Ingrith said, putting to attention on me. 

My eyes widen, not expecting her or anyone as a matter of fact to ask me questions. 

How did I feel when Maleficent made Aurora Queen? I don't really care if she was placed as Queen of the Moors or not, though I would have been nice if it was Maleficent and I ruling to Moors together but that didn't happen... But something was off, I couldn't say what it was but it was something about this lady. 

I sipped the last bit on my wine before placing my goblet back down on the table.

"If Maleficent wanted Aurora to be Queen, who am I to say no" 

"But wouldn't you like to rule the Moors with him?" She asked.

Well looked at each other. I was trying to read her and she was trying to read me, two Queen's of different Kingdoms, different morals tried to read each other, silently trying to pinpoint each other's weakness.

I debated on what to say. I knew she was testing me, it was obvious but I wasn't too sure why.

"That would have been nice either was I just want by his side" 

 Ingrith looked a bit satisfied with my answer.

"Well, what do you want to do? Are you doing to stand by Maleficent's side forever?" She questioned.

I was getting a bit annoyed by how she was questioning me so much. 

With my goblet refilled I took another sip. 

"Isn't it a Queen's job to defend and stand by their King's side till the very end?" 

She nodded and smiled.

"I couldn't agree more". 

"But Aurora" She said turning her attention back to her.

"Did you not have another castle?" She asked.

Oh, I know where this was going and it isn't anywhere pleasant. 

"Mother..." Phillip called her in a warning tone but she ignored him.

"One in the Moors, and one left behind by her father. King Stefan, was it not?" She asked acting innocently.

"That castle was never my home. It was given to the people" Aurora asked. 

"So, you're also a true princess. Even though Stefan died. Was killed? Remind me, did he die or was he killed?" Queen Ingrith continued to question.

'This isn't going to end well' I thought as I drank my wine.

"Both" Maleficent told her calmly as he looked at her. 

" Yes, you're right, it is very warm recently" King Jhon added to Phillip's early statement trying to change to subject. 

"Because I remember" Ingrith continued on.

"The story of a baby. A baby cursed to sleep... and never wake up"

"Really? Who would do such a terrible thing to an innocent child?" King Jhon asked. 

 "Well, there are many who prey on the innocent. I'm sure your kind would agree" Maleficent 

"What do you mean, my kind?" King Jhon asked, sounding offended. 

"She means humans" Ingrith explained. 

"There are fairies missing from the Moors" Maleficent informed the table.

"What I'm missing is some wine" I said as I raised my glass and pointing to it.

A servant came and pour more wine as Maleficent continued. 

"Stolen by human poachers"

"That's the first I've heard of it." The King admitted. 

"Someone gave the order" Maleficent quickly sated

The was silence that followed. I noticed Maleficent's magic starting to flare. I placed my hand, trying to calm him down. 

"It sounds as if you're accusing the king."

I looked at her. 

"No, he never said that" Phillip said. 

"Wait... Sorry, who would steal a fairy?" King John asked. (PROTECT THIS MAN!)

"Your Majesty, I must report that two peasants were found dead... just outside the Moors. They'd been missing for several days" A man, I just noticed sitting next to Phillip spoke up. 

"I see"

"Yes, we all see"

Suddenly the cat jumped out on the chair next to me and growled at me. 

"The borders are open, but humans are not welcome. Isn't that right?"

I hissed at the cat and tried to shoo it away.

"What exactly are you implying, Your Majesty?" Aurora questioned Ingrith.

 "Innocent men are being slaughtered on the Moors... and she's talking about fairies" Queen Ingrith said her voice laced with venom. 

That's when the cat jumped on to the table and was to about to pounce onto me letting out a screech. 

I couldn't even react in time but thankful Maleficent always had the better reflects and stopped the cat from attacking me. 

"Contain your animal. Or I will. If it were to touch her would end well for you" Maleficent threatened. 

"If I didn't know better, I'd say you were making a threat" Ingrith

"Well, do you?" Maleficent questioned her.

"Do I what?" She asked.

"Know better?"

"Enough" King John told Ingrith in a low tone. 

"Put her down. Please, put her down" Aurora whispered, pleading with Maleficent. 

But Maleficent didn't.

"Maleficent" I called after him.

He didn't look at me but I knew he was listening.

"Let it go, I'm alright"

He sighed before letting the cat go. 

The cat quickly ran off. 

"We're here to celebrate" Jhon reminded her. 

"Forgive me, he's right. Let's not forget why we're here. The start of a new life for Aurora" 

"Cheers"  Aurora and Philip said as everyone sipped their wine, except Maleficent and I. 

"You have done an admirable job, Maleficent, Y/n going against your own nature to raise this child. But now... Aurora will finally get... the love of a real family. A real mother and father" She said looking directly at me and Maleficent when she spoke about mother and father. 

I could tell, I know Maleficent was getting get angry by every word the woman spoke, I could feel his anger.  

"Because the one thing I regret... is never having a daughter of my own. But tonight changes that. Tonight, I consider Aurora my own"

And there it was. The final push she needed to get Maleficent riled up. 

Maleficent stood up from his chair as his magic knocking back his chair, His wings blew a strong wind blowing out all the candles in the room and knocking down the golden crib, starling everyone, well except me. The servants ran out of the room screaming for dear life as guards ran in with sword in hand. 

"We have opened our home to a witch!" Ingrith cried out

A guard goes to attack Maleficent but he throws him across the room. 

He then used his magic to push away the other guards. 

"Stop!" Aurora got up for her chair and yelled at him.

I too got up.

"There is no union" He told her. His voice filled with hurt. 

"There will be no wedding"

"Maleficent!" Philip called out to him. 

"We must protect the king!" 

"Maleficent, please, stop now"

"John, I'm so frightened" Ingrith said as she cowered behind him.

"Ah! What has he done to me?" He asked before he fell. 

This caused my eye to widen.

Phillip and  Ingrith were by his side, maybe something was in his drink. I know it wasn't Maleficent causing a spell, he hasn't even moved. 

 "We go home" Maleficent told Aurora. 

"John! It's a curse. It's a curse! Maleficent has cursed the king!"

"What have you done?" Aurora asked him.

"I've done nothing"

"Aurora, please. Let's go home talk about it" I pleaded with her.

"We don't want to make choices that we'll regret, come with us" I tried to persuade her but she looked at us and walked away from us and made her way to the King. 

I felt tears coming to my eyes.

How...could she? 

No, no-no-no. This can't be happening.

"Aurora!" Maleficent called after her. 

She chose them.

Maleficent and I walked up to the end of the table on a few feet away for the King as we called for her. 

She looked at us.

"Wake him! Wake him, please" She pleaded.

I didn't know how to feel, angry of whose side she had chosen or heartbroken. Maybe both.  

The sound of men shouting was coming close. 

Maleficent flagged his wings, hovering in the air as I transformed into my bird form. 

He took flight and flew overhead of Aurora and the others, crashing into the window as I followed behind them. 

(3rd POV)

As Maleficent and Y/n flew away Grenda came up in a tower with two bullets in her hands.

She had a good view of Y/n and Maleficent even though Y/n was in her bird form, she had a task to do, kill Maleficent and bring his head and if that failed, wound Y/n and used her as bait for him.

Grenda aimed her weapon at Y/n and shot, not missing her and got I direct hit on her.

Y/n didn't expect it but a sudden pain came causing her to scream out in pain and forcing her out of her crow form and fall to the ground, She didn't know what to do, never in her life has she experience such excruciating pain from her abdomen but she tried her best to keep her raven form.

"M-Maleficent!" She called out to him in pain. 

He didn't hear when her first cry but he did the second time. 

He stopped flying and looked back shocked the hear her voice but his eyes widen fear flared into his system like never before as he saw his lover falling to the earth's surface her. 

Before he could dive to save her but Granda had already reloaded and shot him causing him to drop his staff and crashed into the river. 

Y/n witness Maleficent falling. Her heart felt as though it had shattered as her tears following up as she fell to the ground.  

Granda used the telescope to make sure Maleficent was truly dead. She watched as Malfent's green glow flow the waterfall. Smiled satisfied at her work when that's when she noticed a disturbance in the clouds. She looked back in the telescope to see something pulled Malefinet out of the ocean and flew back into the clouds. 

Panicked was written all over her face. 

She turned the telescope to where Y/n was supposed to be, laying on the floor, if lucky in a srub. 

But she wasn't there.

Granda searched and search by to no avail, Y/n wasn't there.

She took a deep breath in as she moved her eye from the telescope.

"This can't be good" She said.
