Chapter Forty-Four
(Visions & Arguments)
Ares POV
"Apollo." I pant, my face dripping in sweat from running around the woods and house looking for him. "Korri's... she..."
"Hey, catch your breath or you might pass out." Apollo chides.
"She's out. Her visions..."
His face falls. "Visions? Okay, now you're explaining."
And it all tumbles out of me in panic.
Korri's vision.
My theory on how she might be like Harriet Tubman.
Everything.
"Oh," he whispers, he sets his hands on my shoulders, a gesture normally my sisters gave me.
"Apollo." I mumble. "You are not that much older than me, when you do it it's weird."
He smiles, and lets his hands fall to his side. "Okay, where is she?"
"In her room, I'm guessing." I say.
He nods, and squeezes my hand as he opens the door.
"So you were right." Apollo says. "She's asleep, but she'll wake up. Okay? I know something that you can help with, just... go to bed while I figure it out, 'kay?"
I want to argue, but exhaustion catches up with me.
"Okay."
I storm into my room and slam the door behind me.
