"Good old Beach City, but so much has changed lately" Steven said as we rode on Lion around town.

We pasted the mayor, Nanefua as she was informing citizens of evacuation routes.

"And like that, she contributed more than Dewy' Y/n thought.

"I guess after all those abductions, everything couldn't just turn to normal"

Steven and I waved to Sadie, Buck and Sour Cream as they passed by.

"With Saide rocking out and Lars in space, we can't even enjoy our regular snack at the Big Donut. What we gonna do for breakfast now?!" Steven said as he leaned onto Lion's head and groaned gloomily.

"I could try cooking" I suggested.

I could see Steven shiver at the suggestion.

"No offence Y/n but you're cooking is horrible"

"Come on it was one time and okay, yes the pancakes were undercook but I've been practising plus Lion likes my cooking"

Steven was about to say something before Lion stopped and hurled Steven off his back causing me to to come out on Lion's back.

I petted Lion.

"Wait a minute. Big Donut is still open?" Steven asked.

"Huh?" I looked up to see two customers leaving Big Doghnut with food in their hand.

Steven and I glanced at each other before walking to the Big Doughnut.

We gasped in shock seeing who was standing behind the counter, wearing a Big Donut uniform.

"Hello! Welcome to the Big Donut!" Garnet greeted.

"Garnet?" I asked not believing my eyes.

We walked up to the counter.

"I have so many questions" Steven told her, he was just as confused as I was.

"Just a moment you two. You'll have to wait your turn" Garnet said as she skillfully filled a paper bag with doughnuts and hands it over to the customer and after that, she turned to face us.

"Welcome to the Big Doughnut. Tell me how I may serve you"

"This is honestly the last place I thought I would see you working here Garnet. Have we fallen on hard times?" I asked.

"Oh Y/n. This isn't about making ends meet. This is about being random" She explained leaving Steven and I even more confused.

"You can't be serious" Steven said to her.

"Oh, yes!" Garnet grinned.

My brows fue together.

"I beg your pardon?"

"Yeah I'm with Y/n, I... don't understand"

Garnet poured coffee into a cup and the spill the counter and she points at the stream of the spilt coffee.

"My future vision allows me to see down the rivers of possibility, granting me insight into the possible realities our actions move us towards" She started.

"But that doesn't mean I can predict everything. What I'm interested in are these extremely unlikely realities, so disconnected from the natural course of events that I can't detect them" She then goes to point to a stream of coffee that was disconnected from the rest of the coffee spill.

"When we act in unnatural ways, we create new, unforeseen paths, and arrive at these pools of improbability"

She dragged her finger through the spill, linking a stream with the pool.

"Oh, so you want to do stuff you usually don't just to see what happens?" I asked.

Garnet smiled and gave me a thumbs up.

"I didn't foresee you understanding that"

"So, are we gonna clean up that coffee?" I asked

"That's what we'd normally do. Let's see what happens to the world when we don't" Garnet suggested

We watched as a drop of coffee fell off the edge of the counter onto the floor.

Well looked up at each other. I held a confused look, Steven looked curious at the hold while Garnet, Garnet looked like.

"We are now dwelling in a totally new pool of improbability. My future vision is useless here."

"I'm scared... but intrigued"

"I think I understand, I guess"

"That's the spirit! Let's get even more intriguing!" Garnet exclaimed as she somersaults over the counter.

"I quit!" With that she enlarged her muscles, bursting apart her uniform.

"Come on you two" Garnet said as she ran out the door, Steven and I following her leaving customers confused.

"So, what now?" Steven asked as we exited the Big Doughnut.

Garnet stopped for a moment to think.

"Hmm... Instead of selling food, let's order some" Garnet suggested.

"Like what?" Steven questioned.

"Let's do... pizza"

I smiled as I took out my phone.

"Now we're talking. Ordering now"

I made a called to Fish Stew Pizza a place Jenny recommended.

"Fish Stew Pizza" A voice said.

"Hello, good day. I would like to order a pizza" I told the voice.

"Ten pizza!" Garnet said.

"No, 20 pizzas" I announced causing Garnet and Steven to smile

"Toppings? Um..." I looked down to Steven as he looked up to me. I've never seen anyone look up to me like he did almost live siblings would...

I ruffed his hair before answering.

"Surprise me"

I winked at Grenet as she continued to smile and gave me a thumbs up.

"Good job Y/n, you're getting the hang of it" Garnet congratulated me.

"Deliver to the temple. No...that just what they'll be expecting" I said as I squint my eyes suspiciously.

"Go weirder!" Garnet encouraged.

I was about to say r/p (random place) when suddenly Steven jumped and grabbed my phone out of my hand.

"Deliver it to the ocean. No, no, no, to Kansas! No, to the moon!"

"I Don't think that's within our delivery radius" The voice informed him.

"Remember. Improbable, not impossible"

I picked my phone out of Steven's grasped.

'Now, where would be the last place they would expect to deliver a pizza?' I thought.

I gasped as an idea came to me.

"Oh! Deliver it to... Fish Stew Pizza" I said coolly.

"So, like, this is for pick-up?"

(3POV)

On the Boardwalk. Steven, Garnet and Y/n walked along the boardwalk with boxes of pizza in each hold.

"Now think, Y/n, Steven. What do you typically do when you obtain pizza?" She asked her.

"Hmm... Eat it?" Steven asked.

"Are we going to? Cause I call digs on ten of them" Y/n stated.

"In this timeline, we do the opposite of that. Hey, you! Have a pizza!" She then threw a pizza box at a passerby.

The passerby fell over catching the pizza.

"Hey, thanks!"

With that Steven, Y/n and Garnet started to hand out to people and even a flock of seagulls. 

*Short Timeskip*

"One more pizza to deliver" Garnet informed Steven and Y/n as they walked through a familiar.

"Hm, Vidalia's house is around here. We should bring her the last pizza" Y/n recommended knowing very well Vidalia would give her a piece if she asked, heck the whole box even. 

"That would be nice" Garnet said

" She must be upset that her son was taken into space by those Homeworld Gems"

This made Y/n and Steven confused.

"You mean Onion? He isn't in space. He's right over there" Steven stated as he points at Onion behind them with a large sack slung over his shoulder when we spotted him he jumped over a fence.  

"Sorry, I-I must be thinking of a different timeline" 

Y/n had a concerned look while Steven looked horrified.

"O..kay... Well, I'm sure Vidalia would still like some pizza even if her child is still on Earth" 

"So what are we waiting for? Let's go swing by!" Steven said as he began to run Y/n and Garnet followed behind him.

(Your POV)

Steven, Garnet and I made to Vidalia's house I couldn't help but be excited to see Vidalia again.

Garnet knocked on the door.

"Mother Onion! Open up!" Garnet called.

"In the garage!"

Garnet does a somersault into the garage and poses.

"Get excited for pizza!"

Steven rolled into Garnet and got up showing the small packages in his hand. 

"We got pepper flakes, and we're not afraid to use 'em!"

I normally walk in.

"Vidalia! Oh, how I missed you!" I squealed.

"Ahh!" 

Vidalia shrieked in shock as she hides behind a painting she was holding.

"Wait a minute, I know that voice. Y/n? Steven? What are you guys doing here? Trying to scare me to death?" She asked as I smiled.

"Oh, sorry. We were just trying to bring you a pizza in the most unlikely way possible. Want a slice?" He offered as Garnet opened the box.

"Sure, I could use a break. I've been working on this still life of a step stool, but I just don't feel inspired" Vidalia explained.

Garnet closed the pizza box and hand it to Steven, to go and pose on the step stool.

"Paint me like one of your Amethysts"

Steven then hands me the pizza and goes to pose alongside Garnet.

"Paint me too!"

"So you wanna be my muse, eh?" Vidalia asked. 

"If its not too much trouble" Steven said as he changed his pose.

"I promise to be very inspiring"

"Hmm... Yeah, I think this is just what I needed" Vidalia said to herself as she picked up a pencil.

"Strike a pose!" She told them.

Steven and Garnet made a new pose with Garnet holding Steven in one hand.

"It's struck" 

"Okay, don't move. I need to capture your essence" Vidalia said.

I found a chair and sat down next to Vidalia as she drew Garnet and Steven.

"Vidalia, mind if I have a few slices of your pizza?"

"Sure Y/n, anything for my future daughter-in-law" She winked and went back to drawing;

I blushed a bit before opening the box and taking a slice.

*Timeskip* 

Vidalia has been drawing for a period of time now leaving me to eat half the pizza and now debating whether or not I can eat the rest.

'I wonder if I could eat the rest? I mean it's not impossible but then I'll have a massive belly ache. I wonder if I drink some herbal tea if it would go away? Humm, maybe Vidalia-"

Suddenly I was yanked out of my thoughts, literally. Garnet grabbed me by the arm as we dashed out of the garage.

"Huh?" Vidaliasaid confused.

"Sorry, Vidalia! Maybe next time!" Steven apologized.

"But wait! Your essence!" Vidalia called after us.

We began to follow a cute looking cat when a question came to me.

"Why exactly are we following this cat?" I asked. 

"Because we want to see where it leads us" Garnet explained to me  

"Oh yes we're being random today" I reminded myself.

We had finally caught up to the cat walking down the street when it notices us and began to run, urging the two to sprint after it.

We chased after the cat as it slipped through a hole in some shrubs.

"That is one fast cat" I stated as I looked at the hole.

"Do you think we can catch it?" Steven asked 

"If we don't lose sight of it"

With that Steven, Garnet and I crawled after the cat through the shrubs. 

We arrived in a clear forest area where we happened to see the cat jumped into another bush.

We peeked into the bush to see the cate along with four other kittens, its own size meowing at us.

"Aww...There's more them" Steven awwed.

"And they have now food, these poor babies have no one to take care of them" 

"Garnet, Y/n we got to talk care of them" With that Steven handed me the grey kitten

Steven began to pick up picking up the kittens and handing the rest of them to Garnet.

"Look at you! You're just babies. Who knows what would've happened to them if we didn't find them? Everything's gonna be just fine. We've got you. Here's the last one. Or- Wait"

Steven picked up the one-eyed cat we followed here. 

"All right, I think we got to stop being random and figure out what we can do for these kittens. Garnet, can you use your future vision? What should we do next? ...Garnet?"  

I asked as I turned to face her as she was sweating anxiously with the rest of the cats clinging on her.

 "There's so many... cats. So many... possibilities

"It's too much, uh- Okay, can you focus on one?" Steven asked as he held up the one-eyed cat to her.

"I... I... I don't know! I don't know anything anymore!" She cried out as soft thunder could be heard above us as it began to drizzle.

"Garnet, are you alright?" I asked as I took one of the cats off her head.

"Steven, Y/n, lately I've felt so lost." She started to explain.

"Don't worry. I remember the way back to town" He told her as he petted the cat.

"Oh, it's not just that. It's you. You've made so many decisions I didn't expect: giving yourself up to , coming back through Lion's mane and bring Y/n, the daughter of Pink Diamond, our enemy since the very beginning, not offence Y/n"

The grey kitten licked my cheek.

"None taken"

  "The future that you created was so improbable that I didn't see it coming at all, and now I can't understand where this timeline is going. We're on the outskirts of the possible, following trickles to who knows where. Everyone's looking to me for answers. I can't stand it! It's so hard for me to just exist in the first place, Steven. I want to love being alive. I want to love that there are so many possibilities, but I'm the one with this ability, so I've got to be our guide. I thought, if I could use my future vision to jump into improbable futures, I could get out ahead of the next big, unexpected change, but I don't know what I'm doing here! I can't tell what's probable anymore! Anything could happen! Anything could happen to these cats!" Garnet exclaimed as she held the meowling cats in her hands.

"That's true, but maybe instead of thinking of all the things that could happen" Steven said as he walked up to me and Garnet.

"Let's just pick the thing we want to happen and do that" I smiled as I placed my hand on her shoulder. 

Steven smiled and held up the one-eyed cat.  

"So, what do you want to happen next?" He asked. 

"I want... to get these cats out of the rain" Garnet told him.

With that Steven summon his shield over us.

"And then what?" I asked.

Garnet looked at me then at Steven before smiling.

We were back in Vidalia's garage, Steven was on the phone while Garnet and I sat on the ground net to the box where we put the kittens in as Vidalia stood nearby.

"Okay good. Thank you so much" Steven then ended the call and hooped of the counter.

"Great news. The shelter has a foster program. They said they can pick up the cats tomorrow" He explained as Garnet and I sighed of relief.

 "Thank goodness" 

"Whew. Glad to hear it!" *walks Vidalia said as she walked away.

Steven turned to the cats in the box.

"How are you little guys holding up? Anyone need to use the bathroom? Make a phone call?" He asked playfully * He asked playfully and lets a cat licks his finger.

"You guys will be just fine, you're going to find lovely homes with lovely people to take after you and never abandon" I told them as I kissed the grey kitten, who meowled in reasons.

"I think I get it" Garnet smiled.

 "Hmm?"

"Why my future vision has been so off. I have to change the way I think about you" Garnet explained.

"What?" Steven asked confused.

"I've been looking into probable futures where you act like a child. I keep expecting you to run from responsibility and to turn to me for help, but you don't do that anymore. Those futures aren't probable at all. There's nothing wrong with this timeline or my future vision. I just need to factor in, that you've grown up." With that, she hands over the cat that she had in her lap to Steven. 

 Steven chuckles and puts the cat in the box.

"I guess I have, but it's only because I'm trying to be more like you. You always know what to do".

"Not always" Garnet told him just as the one-eyed cat jumped off the table and she caught it, proving Steven's point causing me and Steven to look at her.

"Okay, most of the time" She corrected herself as she held the cat.

"I want to adopt this one. There's something about her" 

"Really? Is that a probable future?" Steven asked teasingly 

"It is now. Besides, I've missed having someone cute and vulnerable to take care of" Garnet admitted as she stroke the cat.

"I think I'll call her Steven"

"Steven? Won't that be confusing" I questioned.

"All right, then I'll call her Cat Steven"

"Oh, my gosh! Wow! Oh, okay. This is the best!"

"Welcome to the family, Cat Steven" I greeted as I petted her.

Just then Vidalia returned with a painting.

"What, you're adopting one?! Too bad I couldn't get her in your portrait! Which I managed to finish, by the way"

Steven and I gasped.

"Really? Even without their essence?"

"Well, I fudged it, but I think I got it"

Vidalia showed us the portrait and we gasped in delight.

Back home, Cat Steven along with Stella  was sleeping on top a sleeping Lion in Steven's room, and the portrait of Steven and Garnet is seen leaning against the bed.

I was thinking while writing this chapter; 'Should I make Y/n British or American?' and I was like;'Eh screw it' And now Y/n is British 😊.
Anyways I have any idea. So since it is Pride Month I wanted to do something for my lesbian, bi readers who were upset with Sour Cream being the love interest I could make a few one-shots of  Garnet, Pearl any character for Steven Universe and so on if you want me to. Comment if you want me to write it and the scenario you would like to see. I'll be doing five requests and my own personal one because it's Pride Month 🏳️‍🌈
