I was helping Steven put up missing filers of Lion while Stella ran in between my feet.

I smiled and picked her.

"Are you trying to trip me, Stella? In the cutest way ever?" I asked her with a smiled.

She little out a small bark.

Suddenly a bright yellow car pulled up in front of me and Steven, casing the filers to come out of Steven's hand.

A guy can out and leaned on the car.

"What are you doing this Saturday?" He asked.

Steven looked up at him with an unamused face and walks over to pick up the filers.

I smirked a bit, never seeing Steven act like this before.

He ran after Steven.

"Hey, listen little kid!" He called out to him.

"Beat it Kevin" Steven told him.

Kevin began to explain that he throwing a  party and all the cool kids were invited expect one, someone who was much cooler than he was. At first, Steven thought he was talking about him but Kevin was talking about Stevonnie. Steven was highly upset that Kevin wanted Stevonnie to be at the party only to make him look cool. Steven then explained that Stevonnie only exists when he and Connie are together, which they weren't.

I put Stella on the ground to talk to Kevin.

"Look, Kevin, Steven already declined your offer, why do you persist on asking him?" I asked.

He then looked at me from head to toe and a smirk appeared on his face.

"Well, aren't you a knockout beauty and that, accent of yours makes it even hotter" He said as he wrapped his arm around my waist causing me to get closer to him.

"Why don't you come to my part as my date, Sweetface"

My eyebrows raised in confusion.

"Excuse me?"

"Hey! Leave her alone Kevin!" Steven told him.

"And why would I do that? Is she your cousin or something?" Kevin asked.

"I'm not his cousin" I told him.

He then holds my chin.

"Then why is so protective of you?"

Before I could break his arm or tell him something. Steven bet me to it.

"She's my sister! Yeah, she's visiting from England"  Steven told him.

I quickly manoeuvred my way out of Kevin's arms and picked up Stella.

"Yes I am his sister, that's from...England"

Stella barked and growled at Kevin. He backed away for her.

We declined his invitation again.

He sighed in frustration.

"Great. So invited that other kid for nothing" Kevin said as he walked back his car.

"Connie's going?!" Steven ran up to Kevin as he walks to his car.

"Of course she's going. No one turns down an invitation to a Kevin party" Kevin told him.

"But she can't stand you. Why would she... Wait. Did you say all of this to her too?"

Steven ran up to Kevin's car.

"Is it too late to RSVP?"

Kevin rolled down his window.

"Yes. But I'll make an exception... for Stevonnie" He glace landed on me.

"And that hot sister of yours" He winks at me before driving off. Then reversed back for Steven's number so he could text him the address. Steven took his phone and put in his number.                
Kevin looked at his confused.

"Weird. I thought your name was Clarence" 

Steven and I just stated at him.

"Well see you at the party Saturday, Steven. And you too Lover girl" With that he drove off.

"I felt assaulted by him for calling me 'pet names'" I told Steven.

He sighed.

"I would feel the same way" 

(So this is was you guys will be wearing for the party, I hope you like it.) 

Steven and I walked into Kevin's party and everyone stopped what they were doing to stare at us. 

I began a bit nervous, not expecting for so much attention. 

"Steven, Hot chick, what took you so long?!" Kevin asked as clearly annoyed. 

"We got lost coming up the driveway" Steven explained while rubbing the back of his head sheepishly.

"My name is Y/n, not Hot chick, not Lover girl and not Sweetface. It's Y/n" I told him.

"Yo, Kev, who invited the 7-year-old and his sweet-looking sister, bro?" Someone asked.

"Hey shut your mouth, Derek!" Kevin commanded.

"I thought I told you to go and buy more ice?!"

He looked down at Steven's out in disgusted.

"Ugh. You just came from picture day at school or something?"

"I brought snacks?" Steven said as he held up the bag of snacks.

Kevin took the bag and threw it in the bushes casing, Steven, to scream in confusion.

Kevin then went on to explain how lame his party is but when Stevonnie arrives they will remember that Kevin throws the best parties. 

Steven and I nervously laughed when we saw Lion.

"Loin? Wait, you're the one who had him the whole time?" Steven blamed. 

"What? Ugh, I'm allergic to dogs" He answered.

I raise an eyebrow in confusion.

"But Lion is a type of cat" I told him.

Lion turned around to reveal a laughing Connie.

She turned her head in our direction. 

"Connie!" Steven said as he hid behind my leg.

"I haven't seen her in so long. She looks so different"

"Well, this would be a great time to talk and settle things between the two of you" I suggested.

"No that's not how breakups work, Lover girl"  He keels next to Steven and explains to him what to do.

I sighed.

"Okay, I'll let you boys do... whatever you are going to do, I'm going to make the best of this party" I walked off to meet Connie.

I tapped her on the shoulder. She turned around.

She looked shocked but mostly afraid.

I gave her a warm smiled.

"Hello, Connie right?" I asked.

She nodded.

"Yes. that's me"

"I believe we haven't been properly introduced to each other" I said and bowed.

"I'm Y/n Diamond"

She bowed at me, in respected.

"Connie Mahsswaran"

I smiled.

"Do you mind if we sat down and talk, girl to girl"

We had to find a place to sit.

"You know you really look nice with short hair." I told her.

She smiled shyly.

"Thank you, Y/n"

"Steven talks about you. Ever since you and him had that fight, he triest t talk to you by sending you text messages, but you didn't answer" I tod her.

She looked at me in shock.

"He talks about me? What does he say?" She asked, shocked.

I smiled then I told her everything Steven told me, their adventures, how they became friends and her sword-fighting skill. We then began to talk about your own interests and a bond grew there and then. 

 "I'm glad there is someone else how likes fantasy books and history" I told her.

She laughed.

"Same here"

She looked over too where Steven sat with Kevin and his friends.

"I think you should talk to him" 

"I-I don't know he seems to be having fun" She stuttered.

Steven then walked up to us.

"Nice weather your wearing" Steven said.

"Um I got your texts"

"Oh, yeah... I forgot about those because I've been living" Steven said, sweating.

Connie and I just stared at him.

"Well, back to my great life!" With that runs off.

"Maybe you should go talk to him" I told her.

She nodded and ran after him.

Loin lad his head on my lap, In his mouth was the bag of snacks that Steven had brought.

I smiled and opened the snack and feed it to Lion as we watched Steven and Connie talk then slowly they started to argue. Connie walked back to where we sat.

I sighed and petted Lion.

"And there you have it, Lion, human emotion at its highest. I hope I don't become like that" I told him.

Steven ran up to her and asked her to wait. There Connie explained to him how she felt, how if they were doing to talk, she wanted it to be face to face but when she came by we were gone.       Steven explained to her how he surrounded himself to Homeworld and how he couldn't stand the thought of her being taken away and that he broke his promise that they will always be a team.

In tears in both their eyes, they apologised to each other and became back Jam Buds

"Aww, you see all you two need to do was talk it out and listen to me and not Kevin" I smiled as they hugged each other.

They laughed.

Then we could hear Kevin's voice.

"Hey, everyone, are you having fun?"  

Everyone cheered.

"Liars!" He accused.

"You're all so fake, you make me sick!"

"But get ready! I'm gonna introduce you to somebody so real you'll all feel as sick as me! This part stats now!" He announced.

"Children, go!"

Lion walked in front of us and let us go on his back.

"It's pretty late, we should get going" Connie said.

"Thanks for all your help, Kevin" Steven thanked him.

"It was nice to get out of the house for a while but I miss my bed" I said with a smile.

Kevin dropped the microphone in confusion and walked up to us.

"What did I help you for if you're not gonna elevate my party? And you're taking away your good looking sister too!" 

Something in me snapped as Lion walked off to the pool. I held Kevin by his collar.

"Look, Kevin, for the last time, the name is Y/n and if I ever hear you say anything other than that it will not end well for you, and that's not a threat but a promise, and I always keep my word" I told him.

He nodded frantically.

I gave him a sweet smiled then let him go and fall in the pool.

Derrick laughed at him.

"Shut up, Derrick!" Kevin shouted.

"If it helps, Kevin, I think you threw a very nice party" Connie commented.

Steven nodded in agreement.

"Good night!" Steven and I said.

Lion then roared opening a  portal and jumped in, leaving Kevin enraged in his pool.
