Steven and I made our way to the Big Donut.

"Hi, Sadie!" Steven greeted and I smiled and waved at her.

"Hi, Steven. Hi, Y/n" Sadie greeted tiredly.

"What would it be?"

"Sorry to be a pain, but I got kind of a long order. I hope its not too much trouble" Steven said.

"What trouble?" Sadie let out a small chuckle

"I'm a professional doughnut girl"

Steven then told her the order. He had some money and credit cards so he would pay evenly.

"What's all this for?" Sadie asked.

"Band practice" Steven told her.

"You're in a band?!"

"Kinda. I started jamming with Jenny, Buck and Sour Cream, I'm also taking Y/n with me to meet them" Steven explained.

"Oh yes, I'm kinda nervous to meet them, but Steven always talks about how amazing they are, so they seem nice" I said.

Steven then offered Sadie to come and stop by Sour Cream's place. She agreed to go if she had any free time to come.

"Hey guys" Steven greeted the Cool Kids.

"Hey Steven" They greeted him back.

I held the doughnut boxes and stood next to Steven.

I looked around and meet eyes with ice blue eyes.

I felt my cheeks turn flushed and my hands started to shake a bit as I looked away.

'My Stars, why do I feel like this? so helpless?' I thought.

"Hey um, Steven. W- Who's your new friend?" He stuttered, his cheeks flushed little mines, causing me to smile.

"Everyone, meet Y/n Diamond. She's a good friend of mine" Steven introduced me.

"Nice to meet you guys in person, Steven has said so much kind thing about you guys" I smiled.

I was suddenly hugged for the side.

"Hi! I'm Jenny, it is so nice to have another girl here" She said as she let go of me and stated at me.

I wasn't too sure where to look so I looked at lips.

"Oh my gosh! Look at your hair it's so beautiful! Oh and soft" Jenny complimented as she touched my hair.

"Thank you"

"You really do look beautiful" I heard Sour Cream mumbled.

I glanced over to him and pulled a stang of hair behind my ear.

"T-thank you" I smiled at him, my cheeks again flushed.

Sour Cream began to play a beat when Buck came running to us. He told us how they have a gig at Delarva's number- two ad seafood festival this weekend.

Everyone besides me panicked because they were not prepared to play.

Evening came and there wasn't much progress. I sat n the arm of the chair Sour Cream was on, eating a doughnut.

"What if we went for a more rap-a-billy style?" S our Cream asked.

"No, thanks" Jenny rejected the idea.

"How about something like..." Steven strummed his guitar.

"Here we are our hearts combing. Music and friends, our souls aligning" He sang.

"Hold on Steven" Buck stopped him.

"You got a really cool sentiment going on that can resonate with a wide audience" Buck complimented.

"I just feel like this seafood festival needs to hear something challenging and provocative. Check this out" Buck began to play his guitar.

"Doo- doo. Butt. The government. Corrupts- "

"Hold on there, Bucky D" Jenny interrupted him.

I was disappointed, wanting to hear where the song was going.

"I'm all for being socially conscious and waking people up inside, but people are going to be at this seafood festival to have fun! Let's give them something they could dance to!" Jenny explained.

"Sour Cream, give me a beat!"

"A what?" He asked playfully.

"A beat!"

Sour Cream used Jenny's voice to repeat on his DJ device. Jenny started to play on her guitar.

My feet tapped to the beat as I bopped my head.

I found a tambourine and started to play to the beat as I got up and danced alongside, Jenny.

"Yeah n/n that's it!" Jenny told me and send me a playful wink that caused me to laugh out loud.

"Yeah! And then how about some..." Sour Cream said as he played some screeching noise, starling me and Jenny.

"What the heck, Sour Cream!?" Jenny yelled at him.

"Sour Cream you startled us" I told him.

After that, we decided to call in a night and try again tomorrow. That's when Sadie came and asked if we were still practising when we had just called in a night. Sadie was disappointed that she did not get to hear us play. She then walked off before asking if the was another band practice to let her know.

The next day, we followed Sadie from work to her home due to her busy schedule we decided to bring band practice to her.

"Aw, you guys but my room is such a mess right now. Just give me a moment to tidy up" She said as she invited us in.

Sadie was the first downstairs to tried up her room while the rest of us set up our instruments.

In the corner of my eyes, I could see Buck sitting uncomfortably where he was so he walked over to Sadie's bed.

As he sat down there a crunching sound was heard.

"No, wait dude. I think I broke your bed" Buck told her.

She then pulled him off where he sat and pulled off the cover to reveal DVDs.

We all crowed behind her to see.

"Whoa, scary movies! Hey, Sadie, you've got a dark side." Sour Cream said.

"It's more of a Dork Side" She corrected.

Jenny grabbed one of the Movies.

"Hey is that the 'The Lurch'?" She asked.

"You know this one?" Sadie asked, shocked.

"Yeah, it's a classic!" I can't believe you have a copy!" Jenny exclaimed.

"Guys we have to watch this"

After a few minutes of persuading us we agreed.

"Um, are horror movies good?" I asked.

"Yeah they are" Jenny She assured me.

"You are going to love it, Y/n"

I smiled and nodded.

Everyone sat on Sadie's bed and watched the movie.

Steven wasn't enjoying the movie because he was covering his eyes with his hands while I watched, annoyed by how slow they were running from, whatever they were running from.

"Hey Y/n, enjoying the movie?" Sour Cream asked me.

I turned to face him with a shy smile.

"This is my first time seeing a horror movie, but one thing I don't get.  Why are they running so slow? I mean surely they should have been able to outrun, whatever those things were" I explained.

I was about rant some more but stopped when I hear him chuckle.

" You aren't like any girl I've ever meet, Y/n" He said out loud.

He blushed realizing what he said while I just stared at him my face flushed and a small smile crept on my lips.

"Thank you, Your not like any guy I've ever met too" I told him, still blushing.

I held out my hand for him. He looked at me and smiled. Then he wrapped his arm around my shoulder pulling me closer to him.

I was shocked at first but quickly relaxed in his arms.

'Well I wanted to hold hands but this is even better. I can,t remember the last time when I've felt so safe or since I got a hug' I thought.

"I can't believe you like this one. Not everyone appreciates Bulgarian horror" Sadie stated.

"Um, guys don't we need to find our sound?" Steven asked, his hands still covered his eyes.

"I kinda like this sound" Sour Cream said as he took me by the hand and took me to where his laptop and started to play some beats while I stood next to him and play on my tambourine.

"Oh, I like that" Jenny said as she got up and started to play her bass. Steven then got his guitar and stand by her side.

"And then, we could do this" Steven then played his guitar.

"Now we just need some provocative lyrics" Buck said out loud.

Tired from work

"Nice" Buck compliment Sadie causing her to chuckle.

Hate my job

Buck smiled and began to play his guitar.

I really oughta be in mourning
But I've got another shift this morning
Every day feels like it's never-ending
What's the point of all this time I'm spending

Here

At this

Dead-end job!

Oh, we are the working dead
And  we lurch for minimum wage

Then Sadie grab a flashlight and shine the light in her face showing a wicked smile

But I'd really be
Eating your brain

Look at you-- you seem so bright and health

Sadie walks over to Steven and Jenny and wrapped her arms around them

And your minds are full of joy and wonder.

She then pushes them away.

Stay a thousand miles for the condition
That I've got from all the stress I'm under

She walks up to me and Sour Cream and, spooks us out with her l

Don't come near me or you might encourage
All these terrifying sudden urges
Seeing you makes skipping work so temping
Don't you know that in the night I'm temping?

She made her way to her wardrobe and puts on a black leather jacket and buts red lipstick around her eyes.

Here

At this

Deadend job

We all were enjoying her song while everyone played their instrument.

Oh, we are the working dead
And we lurch for minimum wage
But I'd really rather be
Eating your brains

For extra effect, Sadie took a doughnut for the box and took a bit from it making jelly look like blood.

We began to cheer for her.

"You're not Sadie Miller. You're Sadie Killer" Buck told her.

"This is it! This is our sound! Sadie, you should be your frontman" Jenny asked.

Sadie was happy about the idea but realized that she had work in the morning and declined the offer.

"Aw. Doo doo" Buck said in disappointment.

The next day Steven and I made our way to the Big Doughnut  to asked Sadie for some musical advice for some spooky songs because it sounds so phoney coming out from Steven

"Rawr, I'm a bad bad boy!" Steven said providing his point.

"And I'm really not the type to write songs like that plus the only things I find are scary are getting shattered and losing Stella" I explained.

"Let's see, first, lose your youth  to a boring job, then, lose the only person you've ever felt truly close to and then losing your mind working all his shifts"

"I highly douth we could do that before the show tonight, are you sure you don't want to come?" I asked her.

She denied again, saying who she was the only employee at the shop and explained how sing is fun and being in the would be really fun. Steven began to write down Sadie's feeling and try to but in a song.

"Hate my job, hate my job! Obligations! No vacations! Kinda saaad!"

I began to snicker at him.

"Oh sorry, Steven I honestly didn't mean to laugh it's just that is so cute coming from you" I laughed as I played with his hair.

Later that day, we were getting ready for our first show.

Steven and I made it to  Jenny's car.

"Hey, Steven Universe and Y/n Diamond" Buck greeted us.

"Are those really the scariest jacket you got?" He asked.

"Mm-hmm" I nodded.

"Hope they don't scare anyone too much" Steven joked.

"Don't worry Steven no one will  be intimated by us"

"So, no Sadie Killer, huh?" Jenny asked.

"I'm afraid not, she too busy with her work schedule to make it" I explained with a sigh.

"Alright, Steven, Y/n, you guys will have to up your scary game to fill in Sadie's shoes" Buck explained.

Steven and I tried to be scary by saying rawr but it fails, terrible and comes out cute.

Buck just stared at us.

"You can't help being cute, no more that I can help being cool" He said.

"And besides, Y/n is too gorgeous to be scary" Sour Cream cover his mouth and blushed.

I turn to face him.

"You really think I'm gorgeous?" I asked him, blushing.

He nodded causing my cheeks to go a flame and a smile to appear on my lips.

He looked away and pull his hood over his head, to his embarrassment.

"Ok Rome and Juliet, time to hit the road, we got a festival to play, at"  Jenny told us.

We all got into the car. Jenny in the driver's seat, while Steven sat in front with her, I sat at the right edge,  Sour Cream in the middle and Buck sat at the left edge.

While driving we stopped to look for the map, for directions to the Seafood Festival, we then heard yelling. We looked around to see Sadie running towards us.

"I can do it! I can do the show. I can come" Sadie told us.

"Oh, thank goodness" Me and Steven sighed in relief.

Sadie then stands on the car trunk

"And I can come to practice and I can come to the next show and the show after that"

"But Saide don't you have work?" Steven asked.

Sadie smirked and took off her work shirt.

"I quiet!!" She cried with satisfaction.
