I was walking along the shores with my guitar Greg had given me.

I stopped for a moment and took a deep breath in of the beach smell of saltwater.

I found a large stone sticking out of the sand and walked in the shaded part to sit where a found...the most cutest animal there already.

My eyes turned in to stars as I awwed.

The puppy looked and my and tilted his head.

I smiled as I sat down next to it.

"Hello. What are you doing out here by yourself?" I asked as I held the puppy in my hands.

It let out a cute bark that made me smiled.

I place the puppy back on the sand next to me and I pulled my guitar.

"Would you like to hear a song? I made it up and a few millenniums back when my mother left" I explained.

The puppy barked and nudged my leg as if saying yes.

I smiled and started to strum the guitar strings.

I finished the song and looked at the puppy.

It barked excitedly and rubbed its head against my thigh, I rubbed its head.

"I'm glad you like it"

I looked up to see Steven coming in the distance with his guitar dragging behind him.

"Hello, Steven, still depressed?" I asked as I played with the puppy in my lap.

He sighed and sat down next to and pulled out his guitar.

"Yeah Connie hasn't called back yet and whose dog is that?" He asked

I shrugged.

"I found it here, I'm not to sue whether it is a girl or boy"

"Well go ahead and check"

"Okay... It's a boy!" I exclaimed.

"Y/n that her tail"

"Ohhh okay I see now" 

Steven had a small smile on his face as he began to play his guitar and sing.

Suddenly his phone rang causing him to panic.

"Okay, Universe. This is it!" Steven began to peep talk himself while the puppy and I watched confusedly.  

"Connie's finally ready to talk to. No expectations. Just let her say what she wants to say"

"Come what are you waiting for?, Answer it" I said and the puppy barked in agreement.

Steven nodded and looked at his phone, his face held disappointment. He let out a disappointed smile and answered. 

"Steven it's us" a voice called.

"Oh hi Peridot, hi Lapis " Steven greeted back.

"Don't forget Pumpkin!" Peridot, I assumed said then barking could be heard.

"I told you he'd answer" Peridot told Lapis.

"I'm so glad to see you again. I'm glad you are okay" Lapis spoke.

"Lapis was worried you lost your phone on Homeworld, but I was like 'No way! He probably  just ignoring us'"

Steven blushed and started to explain everything that happened with him and Connie and everything that on Homeworld.

"In trail? In front of the Diamonds?" Lapis questioned

"And you have Purple Diamond with you?" Peridot asked.

"Yeah, she's here with me" Steven moves the phone screen towards me.

I showed them a peace sign.

"Hello"

And Puppy barked as well.

"I can't believe it. You actually manage to Diamond's kid" Peridot started.

"I never knew Pink Diamond had a daughter" Lapis spoke.

" I did, she became a  part of the Diamond Authority after Sunset Diamond who is Yellow Diamond daughter, she became a part of the Diamond Authority 415 years and there's Midnight Blue Diamond son of Blue Diamond he became a part of the Diamond Authority 307 years before her" Peridot explained.
"I can't believe she didn't try to hurt you, she like the best fighter Yellow Diamond has ever trained she could have to shatter you if she liked"

"You're over a hundred years old?!" Steven asked shocked.

I blushed and played with my hair nervously.

"Yeah, I'm only 5,500 years (b/m) (birth month) and (b/d) (birthdate) days old, I'm not that! old"

Lapis then said something about leaving Earth and hung up the phone.

Steven and I with the puppy we named Stella Rose Diamond but Stella for short made it to the barn and saw Peridot and Lapis arguing over leaving the barn.
Peridot tried to make excuses about not leaving the barn and all their stuff in it but Lapis gave her clever responses.

"UH, Lapis, Peridot?" Steven called out to them.

"Oh, Steven. Good, let's go" Lapis commanded.

"What wait?" Both me and Steven said together.

"We will find some remote spot in the universe to hide out in. The Diamonds will never find us there" Lapis explained to us.

"Lapis don't worry. They are looking for me and Y/n in Homeworld. They don't know we're here. We're safe" Steven told her and Peridot agreed but Lapis didn't and explained that she wouldn't let herself get caught up in another war.

Steven, with his hand over his chest told her that he didn't want her to go but if they didn't feel safe here he wouldn't ask them to stay.

"Wait, but isn't this your home? Why would you leave? Isn't it worry fighting for?" I asked her as I put Stella on the ground.

"You don't understand, I've been trapped in a mirror for over 5,000 years ever since the Gem war, I can't let that happened again" 

"I know how it to feel trap, to alone, after all, my aunts keep me in Homeworld never got to leave my room unless I was with them or a guard, I couldn't leave to be with my cousins, Melina and Lucas, because I was the last thing they had of my mother" I told her.

"But you can't always run away from your fears, their apart of you so it best you face it not by yourself but with those who care for you, like the Crystal Gems, Peridot and Steven" 

She looked at me.

"I'm sorry but-"

"And that's okay as long as you feel it the right thing to do for you, then do it"

She smiled at me.

"Hm, thanks for that"

Peridot continued making excuses on why not to leave but Lapis found a way to leave with all there belongings.  Lapis used her hydrokinesis and made the water of the lake circled around the bar and levitated it.

"There. Now we can bring our whole life with us. You, me and all our things." Lapis smiled.

"Right, Right," Peridot said.

"Well let's get moving"

"You're leaving right now?" Steven asked.

"Oh that's such a shame, if we had more time on our side, I would have loved to get to know you guys better." I said disappointedly.

Lapis frown at us.

"Goodbye Steven.  It was nice to meet you Y/n, if only we could have met on better terms" 

We hugged each other.

"Peridot, don't you want to  say bye?" Lapis asked her.

Peridot began to tear up.

"Wait wheres Pumpkin?" She asked.

My blood runs cold as I notice Stella wasn't here with us.

"And Stella isn't here" 

"They didn't run inside?"

"No Pumpkin was standing right next Peridot and Stella was playing with her." I explained.

Lapis put down the band and everyone began to search for Pumpkin and Stella.

We began to call their names of hopping for a response. We walk into the forest still searching for Pumpkin and Stella when Steven thought he had found Pumpkin and Stella but turned out to be a rock and a basketball. We kept searching for them while  Peridot explained to us how Lapis felt when she found out Steven was on Homeworld and how it would be best that they leave.

"Another kindergartener?" Peridot gasped.

"Fresh produce?" I read the sign confused.

"Pumpkin's fresh produce!" Steven panicked.

We ran towards the stand and saw it was only onions.

"These are onions? I thought they are a type of human, like what you said in your report Peridot" I questioned. 

"Oh no those were some names that Steven had gave me" Peridot told me.

"Yeah Onion is a good... friend of mine" Steven explained. 

Just then Onion appeared.

"Onion? Wait, is that my hat?" Steven asked then Onion hid his the onion stand.

We continued to search for some time now and still no of Pumpkin or Stella.

While walking along the cornfield we heard rustling from there and saw Pumpkin's tail. 

"Oh thank the stars we found you" I sighed a breath of relief.

I then Stella run out of the cornfield to greet me.

I smiled and lifted her up.

Peridot tried to force Pumpkin out by pulling her tail and tried to explain to her that they don't have a choice, but to leave the Earth for Lapis sake.

"Peridot give her a second" I said.

"She's going this to herself" Peridot explained.

"Pumpkin! Do as you're told!"

Peridot let go of Pumpkin's take accidentally,  letting Pumpkin to run into Steven's arms.

"Peridot, it sounds like you don't really want to go" I realized as I looked at her.

She got up and walked over to Steven. 

"I'm sorry Pumpkin I didn't mean to yank you around it's just that, we don't have a choice"

Steven then explained to her how she should talk to Lapis about how she feels.

 Lapis return and raised the barn back up.

Peridot at first hesitated to talk but she got the courage and told Lapis how she felt about leaving Earth. 

Lapis' hair shadowed of over her eyes, making my stomach sink a bit.

"I'm not going to get caught up in another war"

With does words she summoned her water wing and levitated the barn and left.

"Wait! No! You're supposed to reward me for my emotional honesty!" Peridot cried out to her.

But it was too late, Lapis was gone and had taken everything they built together with her.

Back Home Steven and I got some blankets and make the bathtub comfortable for Peridot.

Peridot goes into the tub and laid down in deep depression.   

Steven and I sat down and I let out a sigh, while steven pulled out his phone to see if Connie contacted him but the was nothing there. Pumpkin and Stella walked up to me and lad in my lap

"What do we do know?" Peridot asked.

"We'll figure it out when we get there" I said as I stroked Stella and Pumpkin's head.
