I wake up slowly with the sun on my shoulders. I dreamed of the moon and the little girl. I blink several times. I notice he wasn't in the bed with me. I let out a breath. I had slept well from the story. I look up and notice he's swinging his spear.
"Did you sleep well?" He asks.
"Yes." I nod.
"Good." He says.
I stand up. I walk over.
"You need not to train so early." I say.
I look at his shoulder. My eyes widen. I put my hand on his arm.
"You're bleeding." I say.
"It's fine." He turns.
"Let me see." I pull on his arm.
"If that is what you want." He lowers his arm.
I pull out some cloth. He looks so tense. He was avoiding my gaze. I put my hand on his cheek, and he moves it away from my hand. I look down. I start wiping his shoulder. He doesn't even flinch. What happened?
"Are you alright?" I ask.
"I'm fine." He says.
I tighten the bandage. He turns to me. His eyes there's fear hidden behind the eyelids. He moves one hand down my cheek. I feel like we're both tense. The water has tensed. I feel the air tense. He turns and grabs his shirt.
"I have to go to war." He says.
I wrap my arms around his waist.
"Good luck, please be careful." I whisper.
"Of course." He says.
