"Um... Do you mind?" I swim away from her.

She shoots forward and grabs me.

"No." She smiles.

"Listen, I appreciate what you've done for me, but I have to get back to someone." I say.

"I know." She nods.

"You do?" I look at her in surprise.

"Did you know you talk in your sleep?" She circles me.

I look down. Actually no.

"Tell me, who's Astrid?" She swims up to me.

"She's everything to me. She's my... girlfriend." I say.

"Well, I can be her for a while." She moves her hand up my leg.

I jump. I back away from her.

"Why do you hesitate?" She asks.

"Because I'm already with someone!" I yell.

Calypso draws back. I slap my forehead.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry. It's just that I have to get back." I say.

"You can't." Calypso looks down.

"Well, that was just one time. I'm sure the next-" I start.

"No!" She yells.

The water shakes. I jump. Her eyes glow golden. The water rises and so does Calypso's. I was about to say something but then Calypso jumps and the shaking stops. She turns. I swim up to her. Did I make her upset?

"You okay?" I ask.

"You asked me how I got here. I'm just a prisoner like you." She says.

"How can you be a prisoner on Paradise?" I ask.

"It wasn't always like this." She looks down.

"I'm sorry." I say.

"It's not your fault." She turns to me.

I feel her place her feet on mine. My other foot twitches.

"Don't waste your time love. The gods are against us." She says.
