Scarlet: Where are you, Martin?

He was web swinging at dark areas, doing his best Earth-1610, Spider-Man doesn't find him. He shoots another web to swing a bit higher... but as he goes to shoot another one... nothing came out.

Scarlet: What? No. No!

Banner luck, he has completely run out of web fluid. He quickly opens his web wings and glides to a building... just to get glitched at the worst possible moment... BANNER LUCK!!!

Scarlet: Dammi-

He couldn't finish his sentence as he crashed to a brick building, just to fall to the alley by it, landing on his back. He was still conscious after that just to groan loudly.

Scarlet: Banner... luck.

Scarlet slowly gets up as he goes and grabs something from under his shirt, luckily the suit was a three piece. It had the mask, the upper body with the gloves connected and the pants with the feet area also connected. His web shooters are outside so luckily, he doesn't have to rip the suit or anything. He grabs the cartridge from a belt he had under the shirt. He opens his web shooters and starts to change the web fluid... he definitely needs to make new ones, he's running low.

???: Hey... look at that.

Scarlet heard that and slowly looked back... criminals... of course, New York without criminals isn't New York.

Criminal #1: Some Spider-Man wannabe?

Criminal #2: Yeah, fake hero most likely.

Scarlet changes both cartridges as they slowly walk forward... is a very common thing they do, slowly walk to intimidate the opposite. Why not go at full speed to hit him? Is more effective. He sighs and looks back, they were just four of them... of course. Scarlet cracks his neck, and faces them with clenched fists.

Criminal #3: Look at that, he wants to take us- OOF!!!

Scarlet had grabbed one of those outside trash bins and thrown it to the criminal that was talking. In shock they look at Scarlet who dashed at them with no fear. The go to attack, with bats and crowbars, but Scarlet shows his stingers and cuts the bat of one of the criminals quickly kicking him through a brick wall, with another swinging a crowbar, but Scarlet jumps over, landing behind him and impales both stingers in his back, making him scream and throws him to the ground and then to another wall. The remaining one looks at the scene... he had a knife and well...

Criminal #4: I-I'm sorry man, I was paid to work for them-

Scarlet completely webbed him to a wall, as he groans, but Scarlet was already close to him with a stinger close to his neck.

Criminal #4: You can't do this! You wear his symbol! Y-You're maybe part of his

???: Are you done?

Scarlet looks seeing Gwen in a roof with arms crossed. Scarlet growls and looks at the remaining criminal retracting his stingers.

Scarlet: You got lucky.

He pushes kick him through the wall as Gwen jumps down and grabs his wrist.

Spider-Woman: What are you doing?

Scarlet: Teaching them a lesson.

Spider-Woman: A lesson? Dude, you almost killed those people.

Scarlet: People are more afraid when they know what they can do.

Spider-Woman: Killing? That's your big option?

Scarlet: It wouldn't be the first time.

Gwen slowly looked bit angered and shocked... what did he mean it isn't the first time? She blinked a few times and looked at him... no... glared at him.

Spider-Woman: How many?

Scarlet: We have to move-

Spider-Woman: Don't dodge the question! How many?!

Scarlet glared back at her and clenched his fists.

Scarlet: Nineteen confirmed kills... in a full year year.

Gwen slowly grew in shock seeing Scarlet look down. She lets go of his wrist as Scarlet web swings to a roof, until Gwen follows stomping.

Spider-Woman: Nineteen? How could you kill nineteen people?!

Scarlet: Gwen stop.

Spider-Woman: No! No wonder people are afraid of you! They're afraid to commit a felony or that you will turn against them! Just... how could you do this?

Scarlet: There was no other choice.

Spider-Woman: There's always a choice! We're not executioners!

Scarlet: (looks back) You think I enjoy killing?! That I take pleasure or that take their heads as achievements?! You have no idea the lengths I have gone through!

Spider-Woman: I never asked if you did!

Scarlet stopped talking after that... he slowly took a step back, looking away. Gwen sighs seeing how he reacted... slowly walking to him.

Spider-Woman: Take off the mask.

Scarlet: What?!

Spider-Woman: Just... take off your mask, Jensen.

Scarlet: For what? Sympathy?

Gwen removed her mask, keeping her hoodie on, though Scarlet took a step back when Gwen tried to take his mask off. She definitely didn't see clearly how he really looked... she saw most parts but... not the worst. Gwen stopped moving and looked at him.

Scarlet: Why do you want me to remove my mask?

Gwen: I want to see the eyes of a person who has suffered. Jensen you didn't start killing put of nowhere, did you? It was a trauma, wasn't it? Peter's death.

Scarlet slightly looks down, with Gwen slowly walking forward again, as she is actually able to put her fingers under the mask close to his jaw. He grabs her wrist quickly stopping her... he didn't want her to see his face at all its... painful glory. She definitely could see the eye lenses of his mask react, putting a bit of a sad expression... but he lets go of her wrist. She sighs pulling the mask off slowly... that's when she actually saw more clear how he looked, his skin looked dirty... he had a small scar in his eyebrow but also very noticeable eye bags.

Jensen... he was tired, very tired. Her eyes widened a little seeing his state, he slowly grabs the mask from her grasp but doesn't even put it on.

Gwen: When was the last time you...

Jensen: Four months ago... a... terrible thing happened to me and I... I just stopped sleeping almost all together, maybe I sleep like... almost every twenty-seven hours or something? Maybe more?

Gwen: What about your high school life?

Jensen: Not much of it. I completely lost all focus of it when... (sighs) I know I look messed up.

Gwen: Yeah you do. Jensen your tired, you need sleep, and a good one.

Jensen: I can't... Martin Li is out there, and I have to get him.

Gwen: I don't understand completely your obsession with finding him-

Jensen: Is not an obsession. Is a promise.

Gwen: Well you won't find him like this. You have to sleep... a good sleep. Technically what your doing... this is killing you.

Jensen: Isn't that what we do?

Gwen: Y-Yes, I mean, sort of. What I mean is, you have a death wish. You won't win in this state.

Jensen shook his head and slowly sits down in the ground, letting a bit of his hair fall to his eyes.

Jensen: How can I sleep? The more I do, more people will die. My New York is a living hell hole, you call me "Batman", so New York is technically my "Gotham City." One cannot rest without something bad happens... and with what happened the last few months, I don't have time to sleep.

Gwen: But if you don't... then what's the point of all this? Eventually you will die and leave your city defenseless. That's the sad part of us being spider people, we can't save everyone and the people who die are always our closest.

Gwen looks at him kneeling, but he just looks down... just to quickly shake his head... he was getting too tired and he was falling asleep. Gwen sat by Jensen slightly as he groans quickly and gets up again about to put the mask.

Jensen: I have to find, Martin-

Gwen shoots a web at him, stopping him from walking, as he growls.

Jensen: Let me go, Gwen.

Gwen looks at the web she shot, just to look at Jensen... just to shake her head.

Gwen: Your tired, and you need help. I... I don't care what you say or where you from or that your not from my dimension, you need help... Scarlet Spider can't fight against the fatigue.

Jensen slowly looked away... taking a deep breath... he wasn't ready for this... but he definitely has to do it. He grabs the web from his shoulder and pulls Gwen towards him, who yelped. She lands in the ground, slowly looking at Jensen who summons his stinger and cuts the web slowly putting his mask on. Gwen's eyes widened as Scarlet tries to punch her through the roof, but she moved and with her mask in hand, she puts it back on quickly.

Spider-Woman: Jensen, please stop.

Scarlet roared and dashed towards Gwen quickly jumping over him who again punches the ground, with Gwen landing behind and shooting a web to his legs, quickly trying to unbalance him... but his legs were stuck in the ground, as he broke the webs with his stingers and dashed again.

Spider-Woman: Can't get over the stingers! They're creepy.

He swings at her which she dodges, just to duck under one of the swings, but Scarlet kicks her back. The kick sent her flying as she shoots a web and swings to another building.

Spider-Woman: That's one hell of a kick, never felt anything similar to it.

She goes to another roof... but she sees two webs hit the building, as she quickly releases the web she was holding, letting Scarlet almost tackle her but he misses, and she shoots two webs to the same he shot, and web slingshots, actually tackling him. He grunted, but Gwen looks at his wrists... the web were still connected... in a sense... he outplayed her.

Spider-Woman: Shoot.

Scarlet quickly punching Gwen and puts both his legs by her chest... and completely web slingshots the two to another alley... as the two crash at high speeds... Gwen definitely taking the hit. A huge smoke appeared and the ground cracked. The smoke slowly dispersed, as Gwen groans with Scarlet holding her in the ground with one hand, though he was also panting. He slowly picks her up, starting to punch her a few times, with her quickly dodging a spinning kick, forcing her leap to a wall and quickly punching him through a wall.

Scarlet groans and Gwen quickly slingshots there... until her spider-sense hit her... looking at a wall and one of his web traps got to her, pulling her to the wall.

Spider-Woman: Really? You got these? What's next? Impact Web?

Scarlet gets up looking at her, with Gwen looking back trying to break the web.

Spider-Woman: Note to self. Web Traps have stronger webbing than Web Shooters.

Scarlet starts to walk away with a hand close to his head.

Spider-Woman: Jensen, wait.

Scarlet: I'm done listening.

Spider-Woman: Thought you'd say that.

Scarlet confused looked at her... until his spider-sense kicked in and jumped far back... as there was a web bomb in the ground... one of his own which Gwen must have stolen during the fight. Parts of the web bomb got to him, leaving him groaning.

Spider-Woman: It's comical that you didn't even realized I stole that before I punched you through the wall.

Scarlet growled at her comment, as Gwen finally escapes his trap and starts to shoots webs at him, he shows his stingers, breaking the webs she shoots and quickly dashes again at Gwen, swinging, but goes for a knee to her rib which it connects and quickly swings at her right wrist, as she makes a side flip and goes to shoot her web from her right hand... but nothing comes out.

Spider-Woman: Huh?

She feels something off and jumps over a swing from Scarlet, she removes her glove seeing that Scarlet unstrapped her web shooter.

Spider-Woman: For real?

She feels her spider-sense hit, but she gets tackled by Scarlet to the ground, with him having a stinger pointing at her face. Her left hand was pinned by his knee... no left web shooter either.

Spider-Woman: Awfully close, your not much of my style being honest- OOF!

He slammed her to the ground again as he keeps his stinger close to her face, just to get up and throws a web bomb on top of her... completely covering her and webbing her to the ground. She tried to rip it off... but almost no use.

Spider-Woman: Jensen, you have to stop.

Scarlet: (looks back) Stop? The moment I fall asleep, people will get hurt and die. Martin Li might not be a pure villain, but be will kill any follower of Osborn. Who's to say he will kill the Osborn of this universe?!

Spider-Woman: What about you?! Keep like this and... you will die. Maybe your three hour sleeps are maintaining you, but what's the point of staying awake, if eventually you will die and New York will have no protector! 

Scarlet: You know this isn't just about New York! Is about me! I'm trying SO hard to make New York safe, safer than it was before and no matter what I do! It all ends with someone close dying. It always ends like that!

Spider-Woman: That's...

Gwen thought of her next words wisely with Scarlet looking back at her.

Spider-Woman: Deep down we both know this is what we expected. We can't save everyone but we still try.

Scarlet: Trying isn't enough! I tried to give hope and it wasn't enough! The law wasn't enough! No matter what they do, the cops, or the law? They still come back! So I have to keep the entire city safe from danger! I take extreme measures so everyone can stay alive!

Spider-Woman: As they live in fear! There's no hope! There's no freedom. Your New York will live in fear as long as you keep sharing it!

Scarlet: Fear is the only thing keeping them alive!  The fear I give is the main reason my New York is safe, that's all that matters. The Goblin killed Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson, on the day December 17th, 2017, HARRY KILLED PETER!!!

Spider-Woman: (shocked) Harry killed... Peter?

Scarlet: Because of a stupid jealousy. Peter was planning to confess to MJ and Harry who got rejected SO many times decided to kill his best friend and his crush... because of some stupid feelings, Peter died. He didn't die a hero or a villain, no, he was betrayed- I WAS
BETRAYED!!!

Gwen stayed quiet as Scarlet just started to pant a little... quickly getting heavier. He blinked a few times... just to look at Gwen again... but with a blurry vision.

Spider-Woman: If you were wide awake, you would know anger can tire you, especially under stress... I'm sorry Jensen.

Scarlet looked at her, as he quickly goes to grab something from his belt, but he looks shocked at Gwen... who was holding a syringe... adrenaline.

Moments Ago

Scarlet was punching Gwen, who quickly dodges his swinging kick... grabbing from his belt under his shirt, his web bomb and also his syringe... it was a lucky steal, as she didn't even know why he needed it but he still did. She leaps to the wall and while she does that, she also webs the syringe to her leg and quickly punches Scarlet through the wall.

Present

Scarlet groans and about to dash at her, he missteps and trips to the ground. Gwen sighs a bit in relief.

Spider-Woman: I might not be able to beat you physically... but I can let time do it for me.

Scarlet slowly goes to get up again, as Gwen finally breaks free and slingshots to him... finally kicking him out cold. She lands in her back as well as Scarlet but in the opposite side. She groans but smiles under the mask just to lift it up to her nose finally catching her breath.

Spider-Woman: Got ya.

She slowly gets up and walks to Scarlet who was out cold, she also puts his mask up to his nose, doesn't want him having a hard time breathing. She picks up and puts him on her shoulders... just to swing away.

Spider-Woman: Let's get you a place to rest.
