"I want my daddy!" The child screamed at a pitch that nearly made Jimin's ears bleed as he carried the girl in his arms.

"We're bringing you to your daddy," Jungkook said, looking left and right to find the way back outside.

"Daddy!!" The child kept whining with a red face and tears dripping down her cheeks.

"It's okay little Ann," Jimin shushed, stroking the girl's tiny hands as he made her look at him for a moment, distracting her as Jungkook tried to find the safest way back.

"We'll find your daddy, that man over there is a spy and his mission is to rescue you and your dolly," Jimin said with a smile, melting at how the girl's lips formed into a sad pout.

"Really?" She asked, wiping her running nose.

Jimin nodded, tucking a few strands of copper hair behind the girl's ear.

"Promise?" The child asked, holding up her adorable little pinky as she looked at Jimin with watery eyes.

"Cross my heart," Jimin said, scrunching his nose at the poor child and intertwining their pinkies.

In the corner of Jimin's vision, Jimin saw Jungkook stare at him.

"Jungkook? Did you find the right direction?" He asked, turning his attention away from the child.

Ann however, had been completely bought by Jimin's charm and wrapped her arms around him, leaning her head on his shoulder in a gesture of immense trust.

Jimin smiled at Jungkook, his heart swelling at the sweet little girl in his arms.

But when he saw Jungkook's face his smile fell quickly, as the boy had tears welling up in his eyes.

"Uhm..." Jungkook cleared his throat. "Yes follow me I found the right way."

Jimin wanted to stop his lover but the man had already disppeared behind the corner.

"Alright... let's go little Ann..." he said quietly, taking a deep breath as he tried to stay strong.

The ship had started slanting, half of it coming up higher than the other.

Only the lifeboats on the lower half of the ship could still leave, so the men quickly made their way towards them.

"Jungkook what was the man called?" Jimin asked, his eyes searching for someone he'd never even met.

"You'll kill me but I didn't ask," Jungkook said without looking at Jimin, already knowing he would be met with an intense glare if he did.

"Ann dear what is your father's name?" Jimin asked, a shudder from the cold wind taking him by suprise.

"Archi is what his friends call him but I don't know his full name," Ann said on a quiet tone, burying her face on Jimin's shoulder as if she'd done something wrong.

"That's okay Ann don't worry," Jimin said, petting the girl's hair as he looked around again.

"Archi!?" He yelled, "Archi!?" Jungkook added.

The men ran over the deck, feeling the boat tilt further out of balance as more time went on.

"Where is my father?" The girl asked sadly.

Jimin and Jungkook shared a panicked look.

The last lifeboats would be leaving soon, and this girl couldn't wait any longer.

Jimin saw one of the last lifeboats being filled with people and ran towards it, nearly slipping as he did so.

"Jimin!" Jungkook yelled, speeding after the boy through the heavy crowd.

"Here, please take her," Jimin said, pushing the child into the arms of a crewmember.

"Are you her father? If you are you can join her," the man said, putting the child down in the boat.

"No," Jimin said so quickly it made the crewmember flinch. "I don't know where her father is but please look out for her. I think he was the only one she had."

Jungkook reached Jimin and looked at the girl sitting in the lifeboat. "But... but her father-"

"We can't find him, it's okay Jungkook, he'd be grateful as long as she's safe right?"

The girl in the boat looked at Jimin and Jungkook as if she expected them to get her out immediatly. She made grabby hands at Jimin, wanting him to pick her up and hold her.

"Spy... I want papa..." she cried, and Jimin's heart broke at seeing so much grief in the eyes of a mere child.

"You promised!" The girl started sobbing, before a woman next to her wrapped an arm around her and tried to calm her down.

"I'm sorry..." Jimin whispered, his voice failing him as he tried to beg for the child's forgiveness.

"It would be best if you leave," the woman that tried to calm Ann said, smiling sympathetically at the two men.

Jungkook nodded and pulled at Jimin's shoulder, but the boy stood grounded.

"Jimin..." he whispered, tugging at the man's arm.

Jimin looked at the girl that was completely turned away from him, hiding herself in the arms of the kind woman. She probably had no idea what was going on, but she'd remember this night forever.

Eventually Jimin allowed Jungkook to pull him away so they could watch the lifeboat leave from a distance.

Jimin could see Ann had fallen asleep in the arms of the woman, and felt himself able to come at ease when the boat reached the water.

He fled into Jungkook's embrace, holding him close as he gripped at the man's shirt. "We rescued her," he whispered, staying latched to the person he learned to love more than life itself.

"Yes... yes we did," Jungkook said, finding himself staring at the way the stars stood still in the dark sky while the people down on the deck were running around in panick and chaos.

The juxtaposition relaxed him in an odd way, knowing that soon, he would be as peaceful and still as a star as well.

"Jimin, we have to climb up," Jungkook said, looking at the part of the ship that was tilted upward. "We can still get there."

Jimin nodded, understanding Jungkook's plan right away.

They held each other's hand and ran up the boat, defying gravity as they sprinted as fast as they could.

The higher they got the steeper their path became.

Some people that tried what they did lost their balance and fell, only to slide all the way down off the boat into the icy waters.

The men had nearly reached the highest point of the boat when Jungkook stretched out his hand to catch the railing with all his strength

"Come on flower," he groaned as he pulled Jimin up with him, clinging onto the railing knowing that if he were to let go now they would meet a painful fall of hundreds of meters long.

"Jungkook we should climb over the railing!" Jimin yelled, his heart feeling like it could stop at any moment.

Jungkook nodded and did as Jimin said, throwing his legs over the metal bars and helping Jimin do the same

The men looked in horror as some people's grip withered and slid down to meet their end, and others purposely jumped off the boat, simply giving up.

The two men held hands so tightly it almost hurt, seeing the boat tilt further and further until it was almost sticking up veritcally.

Jimin tried to keep breathing, but he felt like he was close to passing out.

He already had an enormous fear of heights, and this... this scene looked like it camestraight out of a nightmare.

"We have to jump soon alright!" Jungkook said in Jimin's ear, afraid the boy mighy not understand with the howling wind.

"I know..." Jimin said back, "the boat will suck us down..."

Jungkook nodded before staring wide eyed when a woman right next to him screamed as she lost her grip on the railing, sliding down with no way of holding on to anything.

The boy gulped, squeezing Jimin's hand in fear of losing it.

Everyone screamed and yelled when the boat started finally sinking, coming straight down into the water

The cold air blew in Jungkook's face, stinging his ears as they quickly neared the water.

"One..." Jungkook yelled, calculating the right time in his head. "Two..." he went on, holding Jimin's hand even firmer as adrenaline coursed through his veins.

"Three!" Jungkook yelled as the water rapidly neared, jumping up the moment they were about to be swallowed by the ocean.

Jungkook found himself without Jimin's hand as he swimmed around underwater, the immense pull from the ship dragging him down as he tried to reach the surface.

The cold water stole the little warmth Jungkook had left, feeling like it was turning his blood to ice the way it surged around his body.

He reached up his hand, trying to find a way out of the darkness that was consuming him, slowly but surely feeling his lungs beg for air and his body numb to the stinging cold.

A hand so determined in made Jungkook shoot his eyes open wrapped around Jungkook's wrist, pulling him up like a saviour sent by god.

"Jungkook!" Jimin screamed, letting out his fear and frustration and relief all at the same time.

Jungkook needed time to come back to his senses as he gasped for air, the muted sounds from underwater suddenly bright and crisp now that he'd brusted through the waves and felt the cold wind sting his face.

People crying and screaming, the ship howling as it sank, and his Jimin before him, smiling though they were so very lost.

Jimin's lips were trembling and blue, and his face a was a scarylooking pale shade, but Jungkook guessed he probably looked the same.

"My f-flower," Jungkook said with clappering teeth, cupping Jimin's face with slight disbelief as the waves tried to pull them apart.

Jimin smiled through the pain of the freezing water and air. "Yes... yes I'm here..." he whispered, wrapping himself around his lover as the cold began to paralyze them. "Your flower is here..."
