"Honestly you two lovebirds should have gotten married on the ship! Wouldn't that have been wonderful?"

Yoongi leasurely leaned back on his chair as he lit himself a new sigarette, filling the eating compartement of the firstclass passengers with white smoke.

The well dressed man shot Jimin and his fiancé Ella a look as a playful smirk hung from his lips.

Jimin ignored his brother's staring eyes and continued his brunch in peace.

"Too bad Ella's family decided not to join us on the ship," he said, keeping himself focused on shoving some scrambled eggs onto his toast.

Yoongi hummed, placing his reeking sigarette between his lips with poise.

"I want to get married on the countrty. I'd rather die than smell like fish on my weddingday," Ella said, indifferently picking at her nails next to her fiancé at the table.

The girl's face was partly covered by an extravagant large hat decorated with white lace and ribbons, only revealing her rose tinted lips and heavily blushed cheeks.

"And the wind here is absolutely atrocious. It would blow me right away," the girl added with her high pitched voice.

Yoongi smirked, his glinting eyes still burning into Jimin.

"Well than you should be glad dear," Jimin said, staring at the food on his plate only to realise he was far from being hungry.

"Getting married on the Titanic though, it would've been on all the frontpages," Yoongi talked on nevertheless.

Jimin balled his fist underneath the table but forced his lips into a smile. "I'm sure it would've," he said, choosing to drink something instead of eating.

"I have to say I'm very happy to see such young people so in love. I'm sure your weddingday will be wonderful, no need for the papers to write about it," Namjoon said, bringing out his pocketwatch to check the time.

The man frowned at the tiny clock in his hands. "Would you look at that. If you'd all be so kind to excuse me, I remembered I have a tour scheduled for right about now."

Jimin looked up from his plate for the first time since brunch had started. "A tour? Of the ship? Are you showing people around?"

Namjoon tucked his pocketwatch away and smiled kindly at Jimin. "Yes I am. Some of the first-class passengers requested to see each part of the ship and asked if I'd tell them how it was designed, made, used..." Namjoon's eyes crinkeled at the interested look on Jimin's face, a nice change from the somber expression the young man had been wearing all day. "You could join us if you'd like."

Jimin opened his mouth to accept but Yoongi cut him off by speaking sooner. "How about you take Ella with you. Make a nice date out of it?"

Namjoon nodded, but catched how Jimin's initial excitement faded. "Will you come with us too Yoongi?" He asked.

Yoongi cocked his head while taking out his sigarette. "Oh sure. I don't see why not."

Namjoon gave a curt nod and clapped his hands. "Then I suggest you lot follow me."

The salty ocean air filled Jimin's lungs as he stared at the sea, slightly leaning over the side of the ship and focusing his eyes on the fine line that seperated the sky from the grey waters.

If only he could throw himself off this godforsaken ship and sink to the bottom never to be seen by anyone.

What a dream.

Jimin closed his eyes, listening to the crashing waves and crying seagulls.

He tried to let his serene surroundings help clear his mind. But the beauty around him wasn't nearly enough to pull his burdens away.

And it was definetly not enough to help him survive one more minute around his older brother.

"Where is Ella?" Yoongi asked, coming out of nowhere and dragging Jimin right back to reality as if he knew Jimin had been dreading his return. The man could sneak up to Jimin and be silent like a cat even while using a cane to support his hip.

Jimin flinched away from the railing and straightened up as if he were in the military. "She's touching up her make-up I believe," the young man lied, pretending as if he had any idea where his fiancé was hanging out.

The tour of the ship had been scheduled with a small break since getting to each part of it cost quite a while, and Jimin had hoped for some time alone.

Especially after such a long day of pretending.

"How are you liking the tour? I'm sure you'd think it's interesting. You've always had a thing for unpractical information."

Jimin pursed his lips. "Unpractical?" He asked. "Wouldn't it be good to know how many lifeboats there are? Where to go if there's a fire? What do if you fall overboard?"

"Yes but you're not falling overboard, are you Jimin?" Yoongi asked, getting right in his brother's face with an intimedating glare.

Jimin gulped, his brother, as usual, filtering out whatever important things he may say.

"Ofcourse not," Jimin said quietly.

"Good. Because mother and father will personally kill me if anything happens to you," Yoongi said, stealing a glance at the blue sea for just a second.

"Because they care so much?" Jimin asked sarcastically, huffing as he forgot to mask the look of disdain for his family he always carried underneath a stale expression.

A slap across the face that only stung for a few seconds barely registered with Jimin.

"Don't disrespect our family like that you ungrateful rat. Dad's not here to beat you the way you deserve and you can't show up with bruises to Ella, but if you step out of line so help me god."

Yoongi's words dripped of venomous hate, some drops of spit even landing on Jimin's face as the man spoke.

"How many times do I need to tell you to man up and take responsibility for the family? If I were in your place you wouldn't hear me complain for one second."

Jimin realised he was trembling but there was nothing he could do to stop.

In Yoongi's eyes he could see his father, staring right at him as if he were the filth on the back of his shoe.

The same look he was given when he was beaten with the man's metal belt over and over until the pain made him black out.

"Do you believe me?" Yoongi asked. "Do you believe me when I say that?"

Jimin nodded quickly, lowering his head.

"Good," Yoongi said, leaning away and finally giving Jimin some room.

"Now, after the tour we're asking Namjoon for dinner. It's a good idea to have someone as influencial as him as a friend."

Yoongi sighed deeply. "Wait for Ella, I'll see you two in a minute."

The man walked away with his cane, resting most of his body on the wooden stick as he slowly made his way.

Jimin started breathing as if he'd held his breath for way too long. He brought up his hands and chuckled bitterly when he noticed he'd balded his hands so hard his nails had dug wounds into his skin.

What a coward he was, what a fool.

"Why are you staring at your hands?" Ella asked, walking up to Jimin with a  frown.

Jimin regained himself quickly and laughed sheepsihly. "Just lost in thought."

Ella rolled her eyes and shook her head, walking past Jimin as if he wasn't her fiancé. "Idiot," she muttered under her breath.

Jimin stole one last look at the magnificent ocean before getting back into character.

A young and wealthy fiancé, excited to marry the love of his life.

Talking, laughter, alcohol, tabacco, Jimin's senses were numbed, feeling like he was floating underwater without being able to reach out to anyone.

Stuck in a body he didn't want to live in, a world he didn't want to rule.

But Yoongi did. His family did.

And he was their only chance.

The deafening sound of Jimin's future being planned while he had no say in it drove him mad.

His entire life he'd felt like an empty vessel, not allowed to have any emotions, interests, hobbies, feelings.

"Might I be excused?" Jimin asked, suddenly feeling like if he stayed at the table for one more second something bad would happen.

"Where are you going?" Yoongi asked, kicking back a glass of brandy as he took a break from joking with one of the other first-class passengers.

All eyes at the crowded table looked to Jimin at once.

"The mensroom brother, did you want to join?" Jimin asked, fleeing away before his brother could answer.

Jimin ran out of the room and through the corridors, past the many rooms and the bars and kept going until he was surrounded by the cold and frosty air outside.

The wind blew through his black hair and stung his eyes, making them tear even more.

He exhaled as if he had been released from a chokehold and saw his warm breath condense into the air.

The boy turned in circles staring up at the nightsky, wishing he could float up to the many stars lighting up the chilly evening.

He was so lonely, so lost, so tired.

He just wanted to... give up.

Jimin's body suddenly came into contact with someone else, stunning his mind and snapping him out of his overwhelming thoughts.

"Be careful there sir, the stars will capture your soul if you don't look out."
