SUMMER QUIN WAS IGNORING HER
friends whenever they texted or called. she was so angry and sad that she couldnt even get out of bed for two days.

it has been two days since sophie exposed her parents. there was a knock on the front door and summer groaned.

she got up and walked downstairs. when she opened the door she was surprised to see, chris.

"what the fuck?" that was the only thing summer could get out of her mouth as she stared at chris.

"hey..." chris chuckled. "can i come in?" summer hesitatly nodded and let chris in as she stepped inside the house.

he turned to her and gave her a bouquet of flowers. but not just any flowers. lillies. summers favourite flowers.

he remembered

chris remembered.

summer cleared her throat and looked at chris, "what are those?" she asked

chris rolled his eyes, "a space ship." he sarcastically said, "they're flowers. for you." he said as she took the flowers.

"there not gonna explode or anything if i put them in the water, right?" she asked as chris laughed, "thats just something i would expect from you."

"no sunshine. they wont explode if you put them in the water. they are normal flowers i got from a flower shop." he smiled at her.

summer narrowed her eyes and she filled a vase with water before putting the flowers in it. she smiled and put them on the kitchen table before going upstairs waiting for chris to follow.

when they got to the room chris sighed and sat down on her bed before speaking up, "sunny im sorry about what sophie did—"

"why are you apologizing for something you didnt do?" summer asked as chris shrugged.

"cause i feel bad." summer couldnt help but scoff.

chris never cared.

and all of the sudden he feels bad?

"you okay?" chris asked snapping her out of her thoughts, "you zoned out."

"im fine."

"okay so... as i was saying —"

chris was cut off by a loud knock on the fron door. summer rolled her eyes and chris groaned as a little kid. they both walked downstairs and she was met by a neighbor that lived across the street.

sophie looked between chris and summer, "are you guys a thing or something?" she asked, her voice filled with jealousy that she couldnt hide.

chris and summer shared a look and shoot theyr heads before turning to sophie who kept talking. "well im not here for chris. im here for you summer. i just wanted to ask if you saw my cute little post?" sophie asked.

"i really hope you did. i dont even know why people arent even laughing i mena thats like the funniest thing ever!" sophie laughed.

"like imagine your parents are so disappointed in you that they cant even be seen with you so they k—" sophie was cut off.

"just leave sophie." chris spoke up.

"come on chris its so funny—"

"no it isnt. leave. just go." he said as sophie rolled her eyes.

"see yall later i guess." or not. as sophie walked over the road to get to her house a car was speeding.

next thing you know a car ran over sophie. chris and summer stared at the scene,.not moving, not talking. suddenly sophie spoke up, "well deserved."

chris let out a laugh but he quickly pulled out his phone and called nine-one-one.

AFTER TALKING TO THE COPS THE cops and ambulance left leaving chris and summer alone. they went upstairs to her room and sat down on her bed.

"thats... crazy." summer breathed out as she looked up at chris. when theyr eyes met they both bursted out laughing.

"she looked like a fucking deer flying around when the car hit her!" chris laughed even more and so did summer.

they laughed and laughed. until they were laying next to each other and chuckling and giggling.

chris turned to face summer and summer faced chris. "hey" he smiled at her as she gave him a small smile.

"hi..." she whispered and she saw chris eyes drop to her lips before pulling them back up to look at her eyes.

"how are you?" he asked as summer shrugged.

"okay. i guess... i just.... cant believe that happened." she said as chris nodded.

summer sat up and so did chris. she pulled out her phone and she rolled her eyes. "not that im complaining people are so nice to me now. after hearing that sophie is in a coma they will most definitely think that i did it."

summer scoffed and chris turned her phone off and took her hands in his. "hey look at me." he said as she looked up at him. "it wasnt your fault that sophie didnt check the road before crossing it." he said.

"well yeah but i kinda feel bad..." she whispered.

"well... a little bit yeah. but tou wont feel bad when you wont see her ruining everything." he gave her a reassuring smile.

something about that smile made something in summer snap. she stared at his lips before looking back at his eyes. chris kept glancing at her lips which made her stomach turn.

she slightly sat up as she leaned in, and so did chris...
