チャプター 19 (Chapter Nineteen)

Dammit. What a fool I've been. I led my men straight into a trap. I managed to kill them, but... there were a lot of casualties. I'm one of the only survivors. I just had to be determined. Vlad was right I'm still naive. I lean on a wall.

This place is absent of the Turks. Thankfully. But there isn't anyone here who could help me. My legs feel as heavy as stones. My arms feel weaker than cloth and clay. Not a good look for the bloodhound. I make men tremble. I'm almost as good as the Impaler. Though... I suppose everyone has their limits.

I cough up blood. This is bad. My wounds are... bad to say the least. I take another step but my legs give in and I fall to the mud. Is this it? Is this how I die? I fall into the mud. It must be. I can't even think really. Then I hear a noise. A figure approaches me. I don't know who it is, but I can barely see its shape.

I wake up slowly staring at two green eyes. Eyes of a cat. What the- I'm glad I'm starring at something so beautiful. Maybe this is Heaven? Or Hell? I doubt I'm dead. My body is still weak. The cat looks at me. Her face looks so gentle.

"Cellia, get off of him." I hear a voice.

Cellia gets off of me. I turn. I see a girl. Her hair is black as the cat's fur. She wore a white dress with floret patterns.

"Who...who are you?" I ask.

"You don't know me, but I know you, Bloodhound." She says to me.

She comes to my bedside. Her eyes were very green. Green as emeralds.

"It's... Limier." I say.

"Limier." She says.

How did I get here? I try to sit up but pain flashes in me. She grabs me. Wow... her skin is so soft. Softer than feathers. She rests me on the beside.

"You're lucky I live close by." She says.

"I am grateful." I wince.
