"Fucking done" Beomgyu groaned as he threw his hands in the air, arching his back against his desk chair after clicking the 'enter' key, sending an email to some CEO at the freelancing site. He felt a rush of joy and pride as he smiled at the screen.

"Now hoping they'll like it" he mumbled and stood up, closing his laptop. He rubbed his forehead, feeling relieved cause he finished his work due to the headlines. it wasn't that hard writing an email, was it? Probably not.

Choi Beomgyu, 23 years old, freelancer employee. He slipped into his beige jacket, white shirt underneath, and black jeans. He walked out of his house he have been living alone since he was 20.

The neighborhood ladies noticed him and started whispering to each other, asking if they knew the new boy in there. "Someone moved in? when?" "I don't know, ma'am...never saw him before till now" They had confusion plastered on their faces. Beomgyu smiled warmly and waved at them. It was quite normal for him.

No one remembers him anyway, nothing new. He still remembers the day when he became the victim of the curse.

"CHOI BEOMGYU!"  Beomgyu's grandma, Beosul yelled frustratedly. "THE FUCK HAVE YOU DONE?!"  She growled, glancing at the broken pieces of her favorite crystal ball on the wooden floor, and then back at 15-year-old beomgyu who was standing in front of the pieces with a horrified expression.

"Gra-granny- I can exp-explain-" Beomgyu stuttered out, he knew his grandma would not spare him for breaking something that cost more than his existence. Choi Beosul, Beomgyu's grandmother along with a person who does witchcraft or maybe a witch? no one really knows.

"Do you know what have you done, Beomgyu?! Oh my gosh! now how will I stalk that handsome old guy?!" She panicked, Beomgyu looked at her with a questionable look, processing her words. She smacked her lips and cleared her throat.

"DON'T GIVE ME THAT LOOK!" She yelled out, making Beomgyu flinch. "YOU KNOW WHAT, KID? you deserve a goddamn punishment" She picked up her wand. Beomgyu thought if that thing ever worked, it was always a showpiece.

"NOW- wait..what will be your punishment?" she thought for a second, her index finger pressed against her cheek. "No girls fall love in with you? not that one, you are gay anyway" She mumbled to herself. She finally decided what to recite, he held the wand towards Beomgyu.

The things around them started floating, the light of the basement started flickering. Beomgyu started panicking, his life flashed in front of his eyes. He saw some sort of blue light flash in front of him, his eyes closed.

Silence

Beomgyu opened his eyes timidly, "eh?" he touched himself to check if he was alive and safe. "Wha-what happened?" He asked, his voice barely audible because of the sudden fear.

"You are cursed with the fact that whoever meets you will forget you as soon as you leave their sight."

Beomgyu stared at her. "Is it a bad thing or good thin-"

The cafe door opened with a cling sound as beomgyu opened the door, a smile plastered on his face. He walked towards the counter. "One americano and uh...blueberry yogurt, please" he spoke with a soothing tone, the cashier nodded, a light shade of pink crept on her cheeks.

"An americano and blueberry yogurt coming right up!" Beomgyu smiled and looked around the cafe. Vintage-themed, tables with navy blue chairs. His eyes landed on a boy who was working on his laptop. His heart skipped a beat. "Oh, Kai..." The smile on his lips never left, it increased more as he saw the boy.

"Thank you" He paid for his food and took a seat at the table beside Kai's, watching the male do his work. He saw Kai's pen slip off the table. He took it and handed it to Kai. "hey, your pen" Beomgyu handed it to Kai, Kai looked at him with a smile.

"Thank you..em" "Beomgyu" "Yes, Thanks Beomgyu!" Beomgyu smiled at the boy, he took a seat in front of Kai.

"What's your name? Maybe we can be friends" Beomgyu extended his hand for a handshake. "Sure! I'm Kai!"

Beomgyu knew Kai's full name, his pets, siblings and all, he loved the bubbly side of the male. But Kai didn't seem to remember him. The curse. He met Kai many times, in this cafe, at the same time every day except Monday and Wednesday. He even-grained feelings for the boy.

But Kai does not remember him at all, Beomgyu leaves, and so do Kai's memories with him. Beomgyu always tries to put a good impression in front of the male, which barely works.

Sometimes he spills his coffee on Kai just to get his attention. Crazy, right?

An hour later, Kai had to leave because he had to meet someone. Beomgyu felt disappointment rush in his body but didn't show it. He nodded and bid Kai goodbye. A sigh left beomgyu's lips, he finished his Americano and threw the plastic in the trash.

He started walking back home, his chest feeling heavy as he stopped in front of a bookshop. he always had this feeling after ending his meeting with Kai. Was it guilty? For breaking his grandma's crystal ball and becoming a victim of this curse? He couldn't even properly be with his crush for his small mistake.

He shook off his feelings and walked into the bookshop. He walked into the manga section, walking as his eyes glued on the shelf. Lost in his thoughts till he bumped into someone, making them drop a pile of books. "Oh, I apologize..." Beomgyu rubbed his forehead and mumbled softly. "Seriously dude?! Where are your eyes at?!" The guy hissed and kneeled to pick up the books.

"Damnit...wear glasses if you are blind!" The guy looked up at Beomgyu, "Wait a minute... aren't you the guy who was giggling while reading a jutusu kaisen manga yesterday?"

Beomgyu froze.

 "Pardon?"
