This winter's night is so peaceful and quiet on the roads. The roads have some snow on them because the snowfall has started.

"Are you going to keep your mouths shut?" Jin yelled at the guys who were two years younger than him as he drove through the dark, cold winter night.

They were quiet after hearing his yell.

Jimin, who appears to be around 18 or 19, said, "Hyung, I am sorry for our behaviour."

Jimin's age-looking Taehyung said, "Sorry, Hyung, we know today is your birthday, but we are still giving you trouble."

Through the front mirror of his car, Jin cast a worried glance at him before turning to face Jimin, who was sitting motionless. Both Jimin and Taehyung have their heads lowered.

"Why are there sad expressions on your faces, huh? You know it is my birthday today." Jin tried to brighten things up.

Jimin apologised to Taehyung, saying, "I am sorry. I just do not know how to say it, but I am sorry."

While Taehyung stayed silent, Jimin and Jin exchanged glances.

"You do not have to say that; it is alright. I should have remained calm, but I did not. Taehyung replied by looking down at his hands.

"I'm sorry for that," Taehyung continued.

With a smile on his face, Jin said, "I am glad you two are friends again," keeping his focus on the road.

"Taehyung might be right, but I was also watching him because, as you mentioned, he appeared suspicious," Jimin said.

Considering Jimin's words, Jin nodded as he noticed Taehyung in the front mirror.

The car is moving at a fast pace. Taehyung had noticed this.

"Hyung, do not you think you are going a little too fast?" Taehyung complained,

"I do not know why I could not stop this." Jin gave a reply.

He tried applying breaks, but they are unfortunately useless. Jin became anxious because he had no idea what was going on with them.

"Jimin and Taehyung, buckle your seatbelts."

Jin said as he tried to hit the brakes. He tried desperately to slow down, but he couldn't.

"Hyung, what is happening?" Taehyung started to cry.

Jin tried to comfort them, saying, "Taehyung-ah, nothing bad will happen to you and Jimin; I will risk my life to save you both."

Though he is still unsure of what is going on, he is making every effort not to calm Taehyung, Jimin, or himself down. His mind is foggy, and he has beads of sweat on his forehead, not from fear and worry that he could not handle the situation.

He felt his heart quicken as he saw a truck coming.

Jin tried to stop the car several times. He swung the steering wheel to the other side as the truck got closer to them. They were lucky to be saved from the truck, but their luck did not last until they breathed out.

The vehicle lost control and crashed into a tunnel, spraying red blood onto the white snow.

On other side:

On the roof, the other six boys and a girl are waiting for them with the cake to celebrate Jin's birthday, as they do each year. It looks like now they couldn't do it like always.

The cool breeze caressing her face caused her long hair to dance. She is wearing a grey turtleneck top with long sleeves tucked under blue boot-cut jeans and white sneakers, topped off with a long beige coat.

The call ended without even getting through, and she muttered, "Why is he not picking up the calls?"

She had hoped to finally confess her feelings for Jimin, but she had no idea that the person to whom she wanted to express her feelings was on the verge of death. She tried calling them again, but it was pointless.

"I am going to find them wherever they are."

Her words drew the attention of six boys,

"Going out right now is risky for you," Yoongi said.

"Sure, let us hold off for a little while." Namjoon said.

They let her go though, because she is too obstinate to listen. Even though she has no idea where they are, she continued to hope that she might run into them while travelling.

She saw a smashed car as she approached the tunnel when her car finally stopped. She is clueless as to why she is so uncomfortable. Walking to the wrecked car, she got out of the vehicle. Her body quivered all over as she held her breath. She walked to the car, her eyes slowly getting blurry from the tears. Something landed on the wheel, an upper body, and from his broad shoulders she knew exactly who it was.

The force broke the car windows as they hit the tunnel, and for some reason it got easier for her to lift his head off the wheel. She had run out of words. She feels as though someone is repeatedly stabbing her heart with a sharp knife.

Her eyes landed on Taehyung, whose head was dripping with blood and propped up against the car window. Her eyes are overflowing with tears. The scene before her was causing her entire body to tremble. She tried so hard to speak, but nothing came out.

Her steps back from the car came to a halt when she felt her legs hit something. With a slow turn of her head, she looked down and saw a body on the ground. She was completely numb. She can guess him even from his back .

He straightened his body as she dropped to her knees and reached out with trembling hands. Her eyes brimmed with tears as soon as she saw him.

"Jimin," she said shakily.

"Jimin, open your eyes. Please, Jimin, look at me."

She finally opened her mouth and held Jimin's head in her lap. It seems to her that he is struggling to survive because she can feel his unsteady breathing. Jimin's vision is hardly open.

He muttered in a low voice, "Chae-chaewon," though he was clearly hurt.

This is the first time Jimin has spoken to her. Her heart grew weaker at hearing her name.

"Save me." With a low, tremulous voice, he said it, allowing death to finally take control and plunging into a deep sleep.

She never imagined that these would be the last words he would say to her. She can feel the blood in her heart freezing as she replays those words in her head over and over.

Yang Chaewon, Kim Seok-jin's cousin, is Kim Taehyung's close friend. She was the one who wanted to tell Jimin that she had loved him for a long time; her hands were stained red from his blood.

She called him "Jimin," very softly.

Her breath became shaky as tears streamed down her cheeks, landing on Jimin's.

"Yah, Park Jimin, It-t's not time to p-prank me," she said in between her sobs.

"Yah! wake up! We are not even close to pulling a prank like this." She shouted at his lifeless body and her arms

"Why are you doing this to me?" She burst into tears again, pulling him closer to her heart and hugging him tightly. She wishes she had confessed to him in the first place, but now she regrets not confessing when Jin suggested it.

A few minutes later, there is a large crowd in the area, and sirens from ambulances can be heard everywhere. Upon seeing their friends, the six boys lost all emotion within them.

Jin would be in a coma and they would not know when he would awaken, they discovered after going to the hospital. It could take weeks, months, or even years, according to the doctors. Taehyung had forgotten a week's worth of memories, and Chaewon had lost her happiness. She is never had a worse day than today. She had lost her best friend and now her love.

Her life became the worst nightmare after that wintry night.
