I suddenly remembered that Taehyung had hidden that drive, but where had he hidden it? I took out my phone.
If I have this one, I should look for USB; maybe I will find it.
Looking at the clock, it is almost ten o'clock, which means everyone in the house is going to bed. Let us go get the keys. I peered out the door. There is no one in the hallway. I walked slowly into Jin's room.
I used Jin's car because it was in his memory at the time. I went into his room, and it was very quiet. I crept over on tiptoe and took the car keys. I carefully shut the door without making any noise.
I walked downstairs and slowly got out of the house to go to Jin's car.
'Why would he need a car at this age? He is only in his early twenties,' I thought.
I pushed open the car door quietly.
"Robber," I heard someone say.
It is Jin.
'Shit,' I muttered under my breath.
I turned to face Jin.
"What?" I asked innocently.
"Do not act; why did you sneak into my room and steal my car keys?"
He crossed his arms and asked, "Do you think I would not notice?"
It is really my bad luck.
"I did not steal it, oppa. I just wanted to go out."
Jin cut me off in the middle of my sentence.
"Where to at this time?" he inquired.
"Oppa, it is only ten," I pointed out.
"So what?" he asked.
"Please, Jin oppa, let me go," I begged, showing puppy eyes.
"Then let us go together," he suggested.
What! I am really stupid at this point for telling him I wanted to go out.
"Oppa! No, I will go on my own," I stated emphatically.
"Do you even know how to drive?" he asked, his eyes narrowing.
"Yes, I do," I replied simply.
"OK, then show me," he asked.
'Why is he being so stubborn?' I thought,
"Fine." I said I sat in the car. I turned on the engine.
"All right, let us go," he said.
"To Where?" I asked, frowning my eyebrows.
"You said you wanted to go out; let us go there," he said.
"Oh! I got it now, so you are going to stalk him as well," he shouted.
"Yah! You are turning into a stalker as well," he admitted.
"Aigo! "What on earth is my cousin doing?" He pretended to cry.
"Me? Stalking? WHom?" I asked him, bewildered by his words.
"YAh! Stop acting inocent; I haven't thought you would be this obsessed with Park Jimin that you would even turn yourself into a crazy stalker." He yelled.
"Oppa, please be low! Are you trying to wake up everyone?" I whispered and yelled at him.
"Also, don't overreact, and stop assuming things." I said.
But hold on,
Isn't it a good idea? Maybe it would help me find the USB while he talks to Jimin. I turned to face Jin, who was already glaring at me
"Yah, stop glaring at me; I just want to tell him something," I said, but my voice turned out to be annoyed.
"How can you speak to me in that manner?" HUH? MY OWN AUNT'S DAUGHTER, WHO IS NOW A STALKER. How can I go on like this?" He began to rant.
"Oppa, don't you think you are being too dramatic?" I said, arching my brow.
"I mentioned earlier that I wanted to tell him something." I whined.
"Of course, but what if Gomo and Gomo Bu (which refers to my father's sister and her husband in Korean) know about this?" He questioned me, concerned.
"They would not know unless you told them." I spoke up.
He narrowed his eyes as he tilted his head.
"I am not going to tell them." He said.
"But there is one condition," he says.
Oh god, what's now? Why is he like that?
I fixed my gaze on him, waiting for him to finish his sentence. He continued by opening his mouth.
"You should definitely tell him you love him. Don't lie to me. I know you have nothing to say to him. Simply tell him what you want to say. If not, just stop following him. Let us go," he said.
Damn, he knew that i was lying Now he is really taking me to jimin to make me confess.
Argh! This is so annoying, but
I just nodded and began driving. I could not stop thinking about whether or not I should tell Jimin. I noticed my route while driving; it has not changed in the future; it remains the same.
I had not even forgotten the way to Jimin's house. But don't think I'm a stalker; I just came to his place once or twice, and because of Jin, he purposely forgets something whenever he goes to Jimin's house and tells me to bring it, despite knowing how flustered I feel when Jimin is around.
Such a jerk, trying to play cupid, which didn't even work out.
"We are here," I announced.
Jin stopped me as I was about to open the car door.
"Where do you think you are going?" He asked quietly.
"To his house," I replied.
"You stay in here, idiot. I will call him out," he said. He exited the vehicle and rang the doorbell. A woman opened the door.
It is probably Jimin's mother.
'Oh sh*t! I forgot he lived with his parents, and going there instead of Jin would be extremely embarrassing for me. Asian Things.
I unbuckled my seat belt and began looking for a USB port.
'Ugh, where have you gone?' It was not in the front.
Maybe I should check back. I exited the vehicle and sat in the back seats. I knelt on my knees and began my search. But nothing was found, so I kept looking. But then I felt a pat on the back of my shoulder.
'Oh fuck!' I jumped in fear, and I turned around to see Jin.
"Oo-oppa! You scared me," I stuttered.
"Oh, I am sorry," he said.
"But what are you doing down there?" he asked, peeking inside.
"O-oh, no-nothing," I stammered.
"Why are you stuttering right now?" he asked.
Ugh, why do I like this?
I laughed nervously, unsure of what to say. He shook his head. I straightened up and dusted the dust from my clothes.
"Whatever, now that he is here, go to him and say whatever you want to say," he said before I could say something.
He shoved himself in front of Jimin. I was about to fall on him again, but I caught myself. When I returned my gaze to Jin, he smiled and gave me a thumbs up. '
How is he able to smile like that when I turn into a doll myself here? I wondered. How many lies should I tell?
"Ahem!" I heard Jimin clearing his throat.
I turned back to face him, but he was staring at me as if I were some kind of joker trying to make him smile, which was not working. His eyebrows shot up as if to ask, "What?"
'Can't he even ask in words?' I Thought.
"Jin Hyung told me you had something to tell me." Finally, he asked.
"Um, yes," I said, returning my gaze to Jin.
He repeated his actions from before. I mouthed the word "sorry." Jin did not understand what I meant when I apologised. I turned to face Jimin again .
"Jimin, that is," I began.
"How come you did that?" I blurted out.
"How can you just let me fall to the ground?" You did not even ask if I was okay. You simply let it go."
"How do you do that?" I blasted out.
Yes, I wanted to ask him.
You do not have to love me because I did not say it, but you can at least treat me like a human, which you never did. When I tried to talk to you, you just ignored me as if I were not talking to you, and when I tried to confess my feelings to you, you just left this world, saying, 'Save me.'
How can you make me feel that way?
Do you even have any idea how I felt when you died?
You have no idea how much pain my heart felt when I returned to my past to save you, but you were still trying to ignore it as you had in the past.
How can you do that?
I cannot afford to waste this time. Park Jimin I did not want to.
But these words haven't come out of my mouth, and I could not tell him how I felt because he had no idea what happened, so I just asked half a question.
"Was that what you wanted to ask me?" he inquired.
I remained silent. No speaking anything, just staring at him with a blank face. Is that his reaction to my questions?
"I think you said what you wanted, so I'm leaving." He then turned to leave.
What? Did he just ignore me and not answer me?
Now I am super annoyed. I came to her after ending my life by staying single and waiting for him, but he ... How can he just leave like that?
"YOU PARK FREAKING JIMIN-" before I can blast out Jin, cover my mouth, preventing me from shouting. Jimin looked back.
"I'm sorry for the disturbance; we are going now. Have a tight sleep," Jin said.
"It's okay, Hyung; good night," he said to Jin. Taking a glance at me with that, he went in.
"Why did you even stop me?" I asked him.
"Get into the car," Jin said. He sounded toneless.
I sat in the car clamly. We reached home. Before I got out of the car, Jin stopped me by holding my hand. I looked up at him.
"What did you tell me?" He asked, lowering his eyebrows and squinting his eyes.
His expression clearly shows that he is irritated by me. Why not? He is always there for me in every way, and he always gives me the best advice. We grew up together, after all.
"I'm sorry," I said as I cast my gaze downward.
"So you remember the condition, right?" He stated.
"Oppa, you said I should tell him what I wanted, so I did. Why are you doing this?" I asked.
"I was concerned about you. What if you feel depressed and sad?"
"You are a cheerful and childish person with a daring personality. So I do not want you to become overly attached to him."
"What if it makes you depressed, feeling rejected when you confess to him? I don't want you to be like that," he blurted out.
I know I am not always a good girl type, but I am also not a bad girl type. I am a childish yet cheerful person.
If someone comes to mess with me, I have no control over my mouth, just like before. But it's all changed after that incident. I became so quiet and started to study hard to become a doctor to treat Jin, leaving everything.
It looks like I'm back to myself now.
"You need not worry about that, Jin. That is not my personality." I said it in a soft voice.
"Whatever, you are not going to follow or think about him now," he laughed.
"Yah! How can you be so mean?" By then, I had come out of the car.
"Do not forget that," he said while laughing.
He just enjoys annoying me.
"Ugh! Okay," I went to my room, and Jin went to Jin's.
Su-hyeok POV:
I went back to my house. I sat down at my desk after taking a shower and began writing in my journal. I took up a pen and started writing.
'Suhyeok-ah, wake up; it is getting late. You should not question why I left early if you are not going to get up. Yah! Get up, Suhyeok.'
When the alarm went off, I opened my eyes. I knew it was a dream. Now My neck hurt a little as I fell asleep at my desk. My eyes landed on the photo frame of me and my sister smiling, sweetly closing their eyes, wearing our first high school uniform.
My eyes welled up with tears while I remembered her. I got up and began my morning routine. After I got out of the shower, I changed into my new uniform.
"Su hyeok, eat something; you did not even eat last night," my mother said as I was about to leave. I walked in and took a seat at the table. She brought me breakfast.
"So, like your sister, you want to go to the same school?" my father asked.
he started again! I thought while squinting my eyes.
"I think you accepted that, so why do you ask again?" I replied back.
I know how my tone sounds harsh and rude, but I couldn't help. He simply chuckled quietly.
"Do not fight or argue with anyone," he said, finally looking at me. Before he could say anything, I stood up and said,
"I gotta go; bye, Eomma; see you later, Appa."
I walked out of the house, just feeling frustrated by the morning itself. I'd rather not listen to those beautiful lectures, which I hate. Despite his position as a police officer, he did nothing. I just kept thinking about it as I walked to school
"Yah! Why are you not responding, Chan-mi? HUH?"
I heard a young boy yelling at someone. But I just ignored it.
"YAH! Why aren't you answering me?"
I heard it again, and it made me a bit uncomfortable. I went in that direction. I saw a girl, and some boys may be 5, I think.
"Did not I tell you to bring me some soju and cigarettes? From where do you work?" One asked, looking tall,
"I am not going to do that," she replied, her voice trembling in fear.
"I do not want to get caught because of this work; I am not that way," she said, trying to sound tough while shivering.
He walked up to her and said, "See, see who we have," in a mokery voice.
"So, you have a voice to raise."
He raised his hand, and my eyes got wide. He was about to slap a girl, which also boiled my blood.
What a bastard!
As he heard my footsteps, their gaze turned, which prevented a harsh slap on her.
"Who are you?" He asked; he had black hair and sharp eyes.
"I'm the newly transferred student here," I replied with a short smile.
"What is your name?" One of them asked me,
"I'm Lee Su Hyeok," I replied.
"Are you lost?" One of them questioned me.
"No, but I think you have lost the way you behave with a girl." I replied.
He scoffed and came to me.
"You are the new guy, so do not mess with us and leave," he warned.
"Leave her alone," I said.
He narrowed his eyes and tilted his head, perplexed by what I said.
"Why?" he asked.
"Why should I leave her? Do you know her?" He asked.
"Actually, I don't know her, but if you let me talk with her, then she will know me," I replied.
"Yah! Do you feel like the lead character or something? One of them asked.
"This kid is really annoying," one of the blondes said.
and he tried to hit me, but I defended myself with my hands.
Thank God, I am still practicing my martial arts.
I was about to hit him when he was pulled back by another, and my hand smacked against the wall.
One kicked me with his leg, and I punched him in the nose with my fist while clutching his shirt collar.
"Please stop," she said.
I approached her and asked, "Are they bullying you?"
She did not respond. Her eyes are filled with fear.
"Please don't lie to me. At least to yourself; it is your life; no one will help you if you do not open your mouth." I said.
"You have nothing to be afraid of. If you don't bring up your courage now, you will never reach out to be good. Just think about it." I saw her expression change.
"Look at him, a motivational speaker; let me give you my motivation too." That guy tried to hit me once more.
I hold his hand, and I am about to give him another sharp punch. Then we heard the voice of an older man.
"Hey kids, what are you doing there?" he shouted from his vantage point.
Perhaps he is a PE teacher. He came to us. I let go of the jerk's hand and turned to face him. His lips curled into a smirk. That smirk on his face made me want to punch him in the face.
"What are you doing here, Swioo, and you guys?"
So this jerk's name is Siwoo.
We find ourselves in the staff room the next moment.
"So what happened, Mr. Kim?" A senior male teacher inquired of the PE instructor.
"Sir, I found them fighting and brought them here." He said.
"Who is your homeroom teacher?" inquired the teacher.
"It is Mr. Do," Kim Seonsaengnim replied ahead of them.
"What about you?" he asked me.
"Are you new here?" His voice is as strict as his looks.
"Yes, sir," I replied, bowing to him.
"What is your name?" He asked the question once more.
"My name is Lee Su Hyeok, Seonsaengnim," I said, bowing respectfully.
"At least he has better manners than these brats," he said, staring at them.
"What's with you, Jang Chan-mi-shi?" he asked the girl.
I excused myself before she could speak to allow me to explain.
"Please excuse me, sir; if you do not mind, may I explain? I know it is impolite to interrupt a conversation, so please excuse me while I explain," I asked as politely as I could.
He appears strict and disciplined, so I should proceed with caution when speaking with him. He nodded as he looked at me.
"I was walking into the school. Then I heard a loud yell from someone shouting at her. I ignored it at first, but I heard it again."
"So I went there thinking she was in trouble, and I found these guys verbally abusing her. Because she didn't do as they said."
" I asked him to leave, but he punched me and kicked me. So, in self-defense, I punched him. I know I should have informed the teacher first, but I thought it was getting late."
"So I got involved in this. When he was about to deliver another blow, I douged it with my hand, and that is when Kim Seonsaengnim arrived." I explained it thoroughly and clearly.
"What made you want to hit him?" He inquired about them.
"He was the one who wanted to punch us first. Why are you questioning us? He caused my injury."
"We have nothing to do with this girl."
"Hey, tell him we did not do anything," they said, glaring at her.
She lowered her gaze.
"YAH! DO YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE TALKING WITH?" He yelled at the arrogant idiot.
"Speak up, Jang Chan-mi. What happened? There is no need to be afraid of anyone," he said sternly.
She stayed for quite some time, and when she was about to say,.
"Thank you, Mr. Lee, for taking care of my students on my behalf." A voice came behind her.
"I can take care of them now," he said politely.
He was wearing glasses and appeared to be 25 or so.
'My sister used to say something about a teacher who appeared to be 25 or something. I think maybe he's the class teacher.'
"Kim Siwoo, and you all come here." He called us.
"Jang Chan-mi, what happened?" Please explain."
"You have nothing to be afraid of, I assure you," he said softly.
"Ssaem, Siwoo asked me to get him some things, but I refused." She said.
Siwoo interfered in the middle but stopped as Ssaem glared at him.
"What did they ask for?" he asked.
"They requested that I bring soju and cigarettes, sir," I said, because it is difficult for a girl to tell them, in my opinion.
"Is that true?" he inquired.
"Yes, sir," she replied.
I am glad she spoke up.
"How can you expect a girl to do something like that?"
"I am asking you guys," he said sternly.
"Ssaem, where is the proof if it is true?" He asked.
Then I heard a girl's voice saying, "I have proof."
I turned back to see who was back.
"What are you doing here, Yang Chaewon?" He asked a girl.
It is, in fact, Chaewon.
'What is she doing here?' I wondered.
"I have video proof on my phone," she said, handing Ssaem her phone. When did she record the video?
Chaewon pov:
I awoke and checked the time. It was only five o'clock in the morning. So I went through my morning routine. I opened my closet for my outfit before going to the shower, but all I found were old clothes and pairs of my school uniform.
(Outfit)
Then I was reminded that I was in the past.
So I have to go to school again
I chuckled at that thought. I went downstairs and found my mother preparing breakfast and setting it on the table. I hugged her from behind.
"Good morning, Eomma," I said.
She smiled first, but her face turned into shock.
But why?
"Chaewon-ah, are you all right?" Putting gentle hands on my cheeks, she asked me to take my temperature while wearing a worried expression.
Now, I got it
"Eomma Do not worry; you will notice a new side to your child from now on." I said it with a proud smile.
"Thank you for the food," I said, putting the food in my mouth.
My father was shocked and opened his mouth wide.
"Good day, Appa. See you later." I said, patting his shoulders
I walked out, having finished my breakfast. I saw my uncle leave the hospital. As far as I know, he has worked as a doctor, but after that incident, he never tired of touching a stethoscope.
"Good morning, oe-sam-chon (an uncle or mother's brother (age irrelevant))," I said.
"Woah! What a pleasant surprise! Our chaewon-iie got up so early; she is such a good girl," he said, surprised but complimentary.
"This seokjin will never change. Wait a minute; I will wake him up," he said.
"It is okay; I will go myself today and let him rest." I stopped him.
"Be careful, my jokattal (niece)," he said.
I continued my walk to school. On the way, I started thinking about what happened today in the past and how Su Hyeok became famous in a day. Then I remembered him getting into a fight with a bully gang. I recorded a video as proof and called our PE, Kim Seonsaengnim.
He took them to Mr. Lee. In the middle, Mr.Do took the action, and I went into the action when a boy asked for proof. Yes, his name is Siwoo. This information spreads throughout the campus, and he becomes famous. First, I should get there. I reached the school gate; of course, it's a bit free as there are not many students. I searched for them.
Then there was a loud thud. I dashed in that direction. It is a hideaway for bullies. Su Hyeok, those bully boys, and a girl—yes, it is Jang Chan Mi; I found them. I recorded those guys and also found some bullying videos of them.
Of course, I used to record those who bullied and use them as weapons against them when the time came. I noticed Mr.Kim , called him over here, and showed them. He told me to leave.
Then he called them and took them to Mr.Lee . It is the same as before. Mr. DO, our homeroom teacher, came, and from there, he handled the situation.
"Ssaem, where is the proof if it is true?" Siwoo asked for proof.
It's time to shine, SO I came into the scene
I can see their stunned expressions. I showed the video on my phone.
*Scoff* Bastrads I muttered under my breath with a small smirk
Mr. Do looked so furious when he looked up at those guys; anyone can say it by seeing his eyes filled.
"Chan mi-shii," he said, looking at Su Hyeok as if he didn't know his name.
"Are you that newly transferred student, Lee Su Hyeok?" he inquired, staring at Su Hyeok.
"Yes, sir," he said, bowing politely.
"All right, take this."
Mr. Do gave him a sheet that looked like a schedule paper.
"Here's your schedule for today; Chaewon will help if you need it." Mr. Do directed Su Hyeok to show me.
"Lee Su Hyeok and Jang Chan-mi can go out," He said with a soft tone
"And you guys apologise to her and write a letter you will not repeat and show it to your parents, or else stop these things." He sounded strict when he was talking to them.
"It will be fun at this age, but as you get older, it will make you feel regret and guilt, so do not do it again. You are only children." Mr.Do warned them that it was buttery smooth.
"We sincerely apologise for bullying and injuring you."
Siwoo and his gang then bowed to Mr.Do and exited the staff room. Chan Mi and Su Hyeok have also left.
"I would like to speak with you, Chaewon-shii." Making me halt in my tracks, Mr. Do said. He sounded strict.
I turned back my feet and said, "Yes, sir."
What now? He never spoke in that tone, which gave me a little uneasy feeling, as in, What have I done wrong now?
"It looks like you have not paid much attention in recent days," he said, adjusting his glasses.
What was I doing without paying attention to the class?
May be focusing on Jimin; yes, that's what i do. Did he notice that my focus was on Jimin?
Oh no!
"Sorry, sir, I will be focusing from now on," I apologised
He nodded his head. "You may go," he said, turning his attention to the paper on his desk.
Turned back to leave but-
"Also" he added suddenly.
What's with that pause?
He looked up from the papers and concluded, "Don't get involved in too many fights."
'Is this a warning or advice?' I thought I was trying not to show my confused face.
"Okay," I replied calmly.
He returned his gaze to his papers again.
"You may leave now," he said, still focusing on the papers.
With a bow, I stepped out of the staff room
Authors pov:
As those guys left, Siwoo spoke to Chan Mi, who was walking alongside Su Hyeok and looking down.
"I am deeply sorry for what I did. Do not expect those words from me; I just apologised because I do not want to be caught near my parents."
Siwoo said it in an arrogant tone, which enraged Su Hyeok. Chan Mi opens her mouth before Su Hyeok can say anything.
"I don't care about your words anymore. I am also a human. I am not as pitiful as you. Just stay the hell away from me," she said bravely, making Su Hyeok proud.
It reminded him of his sister, whom he dearly misses. Siwoo simply stomped on the ground and walked away without saying anything.
"You did fantastic," said the boy with a big smile.
She blushed slightly at his words, embarrassed. She noticed the wound on his hand. Opening her mini safety kit, which she always carries, and taking his hand in hers and treating it.
"I am so sorry; it is all my fault. It is your first day, but it has been ruined by me. I am sorry," she said.
"So you can speak more than I thought," Su Hyeok replied, which made her confused.
Her expression made him laugh.
"You should be strong and brave like that. Thank you for helping me." He continued.
They have no idea that a girl is standing nearby, watching the action.
"Ahem," she coughed.
"Hey, Chaewon? Right," he said.
She nodded in reply. "You know you are going to be famous for this incident in a day," she said.
"I am only kidding. Take it lightly," she added.
'But that is exactly what is going to happen,' she thought.
Su Hyeok simply smiled as she spoke.
"You did a great job," she said, but do not get into any fights with those idiots."
"Thank you for helping me." Chan Mi thanked her.
"It is nothing, dude; I was just waiting for time. But I'm sorry for not helping earlier." Chaewon said with an apologetic smile. Su Hyeok just stared at her.
"Anyway, Chan Mi, since you do not have many friends, you can come with me and Hyejin."
"Do not worry; we will treat you nicely. Just take your time." She said.
Despite attending the same school, Chan Mi is a quiet and well-behaved student. Chaewon really likes it here, and now she's got a chance to ask her to be friends.
"Thank you," said Chan Mi.
"I will get going; I have some work to finish." Chan Mi excused herself.
"Oh, it is fine to meet in class," Chaewon replied, waving her hand.
"See you at the class," Su Hyeok said with a warm smile.
He turned to face Chaewon.
"So," she said with a shrug.
"So??" he asked, shrugging like Chaewon.
"You should be more careful the next time you hit someone," she advised, looking at his bandaged hand.
"This is nothing to me," he replied, smiling.
He wants to ask her a question that is killing him.
"Do you have any questions for me?"
Her question came out of nowhere, which made his heart skip a beat.
"Gosh! You startled me," he said, keeping his hand on his chest.
"Is my voice that terrifying?" She cocked her brow.
"No, I was just mulling over something." He replied nervously.
"Hearing your voice made my heart skip a beat," he explained. She gave an acceptable expression.
"I just asked because you kept walking with me," she explained.
He had no idea he was going with her.
"It's-it's," he kept trying to think of something to say.
"Mr.Do stopped me from giving a sweet warning to pay attention to classes because I am not listening to them," she replied.
He only offered a nervous smile for her reply.
"Anyway, do not hesitate to ask me for help or anything," she added.
"All right, then, let us be friends," he said, turning to face her and offering her his hand for a handshake, which she accepted.
'I should look into you, Lee Su Hyeok,' she thought.
'I hope she will help me; I feel like I can trust her.' Su Hyeok thought to himself as he shook hands.
