          Nick did in fact post that embarrassing clip of maria, making mikayla laugh loudly as she continues to eat her dry cheerios as in her opinion, it's way better than cereal with milk. after a warm shower, since matt had thrown a bowl of frosting all over her, she sits on a stool in the kitchen while watching a horror movie on her laptop.

           with her airpods in, she's unaware that chris has entered the kitchen to get a drink. the boy retrieves a cold soda from the fridge, shuffling closer to mikayla, who still has no idea that he's looking over her shoulder. chris' finger slowly traces down her spine making mikayla pull her airpods out, twisting around quickly at the soft touch. mikayla rolls her eyes at him, "ew it's you."

          a sly smirk spreads across chris' face as he takes a seat next to mikayla. she ignores him for many moments while his gaze remains on nothing but the beautiful girl in front of him. there's nothing that he wants more in that moment than to kiss her lips. yes, that means that they're moving too fast but he can't help those lingering thoughts. miks frustratedly rolls her eyes, twisting around and directly locking eyes with chris. "what do you want from me christopher?" she shrugs, confused. "quit staring at me it's weird."

          chris tilts his head, still remaining silent, "oh yeah?" he murmurs with a grin.

          beat.

          mikayla feels the butterflies in her stomach flutter again. she's confused as ever since they'd started to pretend to date she's been having these thoughts about chris. does she genuinely like him? no, she can't. she promised nate, and mikayla isn't one to break her promises. "i need your help with something miks," chris closes her laptop, removing her airpods. "it's about this girl."

          mikayla rolls her eyes again, genuinely confused as to why chris continues to play her like this. technically, he's not leading her on as they feel no romantic feelings towards each other at all (so they think), but what sort of person talks about a girl to someone they're in a 'relationship' with.

          chris taps on the marble counter lightly. "she wants something serious with me, but i'm not a relationship typa guy," he finishes the sentence with a chuckle, trying to break the awkward silence surrounding them. 

          mikayla's top lip lifts into a sneer while her eyebrows furrow. as the days go on, chris continues to irritate her even more, and she's getting sick of it and his audacity. is it jealousy? does she have genuine feelings towards chris? the overwhelming thoughts burden her mind, but instead of directly addressing them she chooses to keep them quiet, not wanting to embarrass herself. "i think–" miks pauses to clear her throat, "i think you should do what you want chris, because i couldn't care less what you do with the girls in your life."

          it definitely is jealousy.

          and Mikayla has definitely already fallen for chris.
