Mikayla's awoken by the bright beams of sunshine bouncing off of her tanned skin. she leans up and stretches, grinning widely at the memories of last night. it isn't quite believable that the boy she used to have a tiny crush on is now her fake boyfriend.

the girl slips on a pair of fluffy socks, picking up her phone and sneaking through the halls. everybody else is still asleep, considering that they'd gone to bed at such a late time. she knocks on chris' door, waiting for some sort of response but there's nothing. gently placing her hand on the door handle and twisting, she wanders into his room, closing the door quietly behind her.

"chris!" she whispers loudly, trying to gain his attention but nothing. as she lightly steps towards his bed, he looks beautiful while peaceful and unaware. with his messy, brunette hair covering his eyes, his chest slowly heaves up and down, quietly snoring. mikayla can't help but smile at the sight, switching on her phone and swiping to the photo app. she lifts her device, tapping on the screen with multiple loud clicks leaving her phone.

a low groan escapes from chris' lips. "post that..." he grumbles while his head rests on his arm with closed eyes. he's slightly awake, recognising the familiar chuckles belonging to mikayla, causing him to softly smile. she admires how tranquil the normally energetic boy looks with his lashes fluttering.

she takes a seat at the end of his bed, "so what's the plan for today?" miks lifts an eyebrow as she purses her lips.

chris stretches and groans, pulling the blanket over his head. "to sleep..." he mumbles from underneath.

mikayla rolls her eyes, "i'll leave you to it."

          mikayla sits on the couch, chewing on a cream cheese bagel that matt made for her while a new episode of her favorite sitcom plays on the television. with every beat, her phone buzzes uncontrollably, which she assumes is because of the recent photo of chris she's posted. along with the rumors of them dating, it doesn't help the allegations.

          the girl sits on one of the couches alone while nick and matt sit on the one next to her with an awkward silence. chris enters the kitchen, immediately going to the fridge and taking a can of cold pepsi. he then joins his brothers and fake girlfriend, sitting next to mikayla. in face, he's sat so close to her that their knees are touching, causing a slightly maroon tint to spread across mikayla's cheeks.

          chris is fully aware of what he's doing to her, considering how he does the same thing with every girl he comes across. he's a player at heart and he's fully aware of that, which is another reason why mikayla is slightly confused. after all, pretending to have a girlfriend will definitely ruin his credibility.

          as chris slowly moves his knee against mikayla's, matt notices this movement and nudges mick. chris also lifts his arm, throwing it over her shoulder, forcing his brothers to give each other hard side eyes. mikayla moves his arm off of her, "you guys got any plans for today?" she questions matt and chris, changing the subject away from her and chris' sudden closeness.

          "well–" chris begins but mikayla pinches his lips between her fingers, silencing him from speaking.

          she rolled her eyes, "not you..."

          chris flicks her hand away. "not you..." he grumbles in a mocking tone, folding his arms while taking small sips of his soda. as the brothers answered mikayla's question, she can't help but glance down at chris' ongoing buzzing phone. she isn't a jealous person because staring at his screen and noticing many girls doesn't bother her that much. but, one name does make her face scrunch up.

          mikayla reads the name 'tal<3' on chris' home screen, immediately understanding that it's his ex. but miks brushes away the bitterness she feels towards the heart next to talia's name as they'd only recently broken up; she convinces herself that chris has just forgotten to remove it. then the boy picks up his phone, texting her back and chuckling at his screen. her lips purse, "what's so funny?" she asks with a fake tone of confusion and a crease between her eyebrows.

          "um...nobody important," chris mutters without looking up from his phone. mikayla scoffs quietly. if it supposedly isn't important, why does chris feel the need to lie?
