[4] Driver
I am very proud of my son; swift as quicksilver to the situation in hand, and then to Your son's demand.
He made sure your wounded son was safe - even if that meant seeming to be a ranchod - which Your son took to be an insult and not a strategy [I note Your smile, You smooth operator!]
To manoeuvre those powerful steeds and that mighty chariot, ornate with every armament, swerving like a dragon-tail on fire ...that my friend, is no mean feat of strength and speed.
And I am proud too that he was proud of me and our lineage - we are well-versed in handling both horse and human!
Hearing you narrate the incident with such verve and veracity to your exiled elder cousin - that really made me want to leap and cheer! Not least because You and I arrived on the scene, just in time to save our city and citizens, drawing upon ourselves a most brutal onslaught ...but that is for later...this is the moment for our sons to shine!
'Dad...don't embarrass me...'' he shrugged off my bear hug but I could tell he enjoyed the warmth -as I can and must otherwise be a cold task-master in our line of work; there is no time for sentimentality in life-or-death encounters on the field and off.
My son never forgot what his duty was: to serve and protect; he kept his cool when all around blazed like hell, facing the ferocity of the combined air-force, infantry, cavalry and elephant battalion of the most fiendish of foes.
Daruki - your mother awaits with your favourite foods to feast on - you don't know how much she misses you, so enough with all the horse-play and chariot-polishing - the better to see your cheeky grin in!
