It was an off Sunday for Avyan and Kainaat as they lazily sat inside their penthouse. The shoots were halted because of an extended holiday for Ganesh Chaturthi. The voice coming out from the loudspeaker who played songs dedicated to Lord Ganesha was audible in distance. It was the third day of Ganpati. Kainaat's house welcomed Ganpati Bappa every year and they sent him off just yesterday with all one and a half day Ganpati Visarjan. Now coming back to her life after two-three busy days of Bappa's welcome, Puja and Visarjan she felt bored while sitting here while doing nothing.

Kainaat opened her mouth full and yawned while making a loud sound as she moved her teary eyes around the living room. It was close to noon still they haven't had showered. She wanted to get out somewhere but her lazy ass didn't allow her to get ready and move her feet anywhere. The rain was pouring since last night as well which made her even lazier.

She looked at Avyan who kept pressing the buttons in a panic of gamepad as he beat some guys in the inhuman game that he has been playing for ages. "Avi," she called finally while not able to take this boredom. "Hmm..." He asked with one earphone in his right ear while his left ear was left open in case she talks something. That was a rule while playing games when Kainaat was present around him and he had to oblige if he wanted to play his games. The last time he disobeyed her he had to give up on his game as well as on her. So he didn't take risks later on.

"Avi!" She shouted this time and he sighed as one guy shoot him just in time and the game got over. "What?" He asked in frustration but adjusted his irritated face when she raised her eyebrows.

"I'm so bored," She said while whining and added, "I am hungry too." She pouted at him and bent towards him to the side as she started poking a finger into his arm. He sighed heavily while staring at the TV screen as he went through the menu of the same game. "Then order something." He murmured while paying half attention to him.

She gritting her teeth and hit hard on his arm. He winced and rubbed the part of his skin that kept burning as he looked at her in irritation. "Then play this useless game with me," he shouted again in irritation and added, "I don't believe I have been stuck on the same level since two freaking days. It's been the longest and I'm going to kill everyone." He looked annoyed.

Kainaat shook her head slightly at his childishness and sat straight in her place. "Why is it pouring so much?" She asked again while looking out. "You are the famous Baarish Girl. Go out in rain happily." He said and chuckled while getting another hit by her. He still laughed shamelessly while setting the game for another round.

"Alright, get ready Gogo master. I am going to kill you." He said while laughing evilly. Kainaat moved her unpleasant gaze to him. "Did you just name him Gogo master?" She asked and he stayed quiet while faking that he didn't hear her. "AVI!!" She shouted again and he shook his head rapidly.

"Aman did it. I was going to name him Gabbar Singh." He said while making a puppy face. She rolled her eyes and got up from her seat. Avyan let out a sigh of relief as she walked towards the window while looking out at the rain. Her hazel eyes held happiness in them as she kept watching the drops that fell from the sky unapologetically. The surrounding seemed to be calming ever since Bappa has arrived and people enthusiastically roamed on the street while getting drench, playing the drums at loudest with full force, the smiles intact on their faces and everything in that heavy flood. Just for their favourite Bappa.

Kainaat smiled while looking at the changing weather in Mumbai. Apart from Diwali, this was her most favourite festival after all. She looked back at Avi who was cursing that villain of his game and banged the gamepad on the couch when he lost again. She chuckled lightly while looking at that child of hers and shook her head a little in disappointment.

"Teach me. I'll make you win." She said while walking back to him. He raised his eyebrows in shock while not understanding her sudden change of mood. "Why are you getting mood swings?" He asked while making a terrified face without moving his gaze away from her.

"I am just 32, Inu," he said and she glared at him while throwing a pillow on him. "32 is not an age to play just video games," she said and he raised his eyebrows as a playful smile played on his lips. "Then? Should we make babies instead?" He asked and she gasped while hitting him again. He started laughing hard while making his frown.

"Are you sure you'll be able to handle them?" She asked and he shrugged. "I mean I am handling one so it's fine for me but you make me worried." She said and shook her head. He rolled his eyes when she got rested beside him on the couch.

He bent slightly to her side and kissed her cheek quickly. She made a disgusted face while looking at him as she spoke again, "Have you at least brushed?" Avyan gave her a look and pressed a smile. "I was going to go now but you stopped me while asking me to teach you. I can't go now." He said dramatically. She glared at him as he adjusted in his seat while hiding from her gaze and she sighed further in disappointment.

"What should I do with you?" She shouted and pushed him to the side. "Get away from me." She shouted again while he looked.

The video game teaching session started as soon. Avyan kept telling her about the use of different buttons and how should she use them in different situations. Avyan chose a two-player game and handed one gamepad to Kainaat while he settled with his and the game started with shouting, cursing, jumping at places. Kainaat laughed her heart out when she killed their enemies after a panicking fight.

They lost the game yet again but this time Avyan didn't lose it out. He, instead, started laughing along with his crazy girl after a content filled game. Avyan put his head on Kainaat's shoulder as he yawned. "I am so tired." He said. Kainaat adjusted in her seat while still looking out at the rain that didn't show any sign of stopping anytime soon.

"Let's order something or at least make something," Kainaat said while patting on Avyan's lap. He nodded while still resting his head on her shoulder. "Here," he said while scrolling through the food delivery app and finding some restaurant. She kept the side of her face resting on his head as she looked at his mobile.

"Order some momos," she said while putting her finger on the restaurant she spotted. He tilted his head to look up at her and made a face. She rolled her eyes and moved his head back into the camera screen. "Order one fried momo for me," she said and moved her hand around his frame as he kept resting on her.

He added the momo in the cart when his mobile started ringing while jerking him slightly with the sudden loud sound of 'Bachpan Ka Pyaar'. He made a face and looked at her to which she started laughing again. "Shit, this Tiggy," she shouted. "I told Ki to call you when you get on set so everyone could have heard it." She said and he gave her a terrifying look.

"I need to beware of you, girl. You are making me feel anxious now." He said and she kept laughing hysterically. He sighed and answered the call. "What's up, bro?" He asked and a cheerful voice greeted him from the other side. "Up for some brunch?" Tiger asked as soon while making Avyan confused. He made a tiring face and scratched the back of his neck as he got up in his seat. He stared at the clock lazily that showed the time to be exact 11:45 in the morning.

"Now?" He asked lazily while moving his hand through his hair and making them messier. Kainaat's gaze moved to him and she snatched the phone from him. Avyan didn't even bother to snatch it back or even made any efforts to stop her from taking his phone away. She pressed the mobile against her ear.

"What's up, Tiggy?" She asked chirpily. "I was asking that lazy ass if he can come on a brunch with us." He asked.

"Us?" Kainaat asked while narrowing her eyes and added as soon. "You mean you and Disha?" She asked.

"Me, Disha, Arjun, and Malla." He said and Kainaat raised her eyebrows. "We are up too." She said excitedly and Avyan growled. She hit his head lightly and he gave her an irritated look.

She glared at him and pointed with her hand while asking him to get ready. He sighed deeply while not being in a mood to do anything but got up anyway as he walked slowly to go upstairs. Kainaat asked for the restaurant name and cut the call while feeling happy.

"Finally, something good." She murmured and got up from her seat as she rushed to the bedroom to get ready.

The duo got ready in their casual best. While Kainaat chose a floral print co-ord set Avyan chose to wear jeans and a T-shirt along with a jacket. The pool of photographers was already present at the restaurant chosen by the gang and Kainaat sighed tiredly.

"I'm done posing every time I put my feet out," she complained. "Who asked you to leave the comfort of home then?" Avyan murmured and got a look from her.

"Well, well, that doesn't mean I don't like what lies past this sea." She said and Avyan ignored her. He just took his mobile and unbuckled his seatbelt. The duo got out of the car and we're crowded by the photographers who kept asking them for some pictures. Avyan smiled at them sweetly and gestured at Kainaat while asking for her to obey them.

The power couple of Bollywood posed for a few pictures with smiling faces and made their way inside the restaurant. Their gazes roamed to spot their friends and spotted them right away. Arjun waved his hand at them and they both walked towards the four sitting down at the farther corner of the restaurant.

"Hello to the power couple." Malaika said while showing her bright smile and winked at them. Avyan gave her a quick hug before resting into the seat beside Arjun while Kainaat took her seat beside Disha and Tiger and before Arjun. "Power couple?" Kainaat asked with a tired face while making others chuckle.

"That's what they refer you with. The power couple of tinsel town," Arjun said and Disha nodded as she moved her gaze to Kainaat. "You look different today." She said. Kainaat narrowed her eyes down at her and moved her hand through her face with a terrifying expressions.

"Really?" She asked and looked at Avyan. "You didn't tell me," She shouted at him. He gave her a bored expression and shrugged. "She is looking normal." he said. Malaika narrowed her eyes at Kainaat too and she kept blinking as she looked at Malaika worriedly.

"Your eyebrows are looking a little different. Maybe got a little thinner this time," she said and Kainaat sighed again. "I know. I have to use a pencil." She said in irritation.

"Alright, I guess you look usual." Arjun said while crooking his eyebrows to look at her. Kainaat rolled her eyes. "Exactly!" Avyan said again with boredom.

"Aren't you out of sleep yet?" Tiger asked and Avyan rolled her eyes this time. "You just ruined my perfect Sunday." He said. Tiger pressed a smile.

"A perfect Sunday is the Sunday spent with your friends and not the one where you lazily lie in your pad." He said. "Dude I almost won that game." He said with irritation and Kainaat scoffed.

"Please, don't lie at least in front of me," she said and Avyan gave her an irritated look. "Alright, before this small fight gets to some war let's order something delicious." Malaika said again and others gave their nods.

The table was beautifully decorated with different plates as the rain outside just added to create the perfect Sunday afternoon. The chats were going in full swing as they discussed work and life. The menus contained all sorts of dishes from South Indian to Salads to North Indian and then a few Maharashtrian cuisines while keeping the fancy ones out. The perfect Indian platter, that's what they called it.

"I saw your new song bud. It was energetic," Arjun said while looking at Avyan. He nodded. "Thanks, man. It felt good to finally have released something," he said and added, "Else the lockdown has shut everything completely."

"Yet, it was nice. I liked spending some time off with family and friends," Disha said and got a nod from Kainaat. "Me too. I felt like I had been working for ages but I missed the camera too." She said.

"My movie got out, guys," Arjun said chirpily and others nodded. "Yeah!" Tiger said and Arjun frowned. "What's with that reaction?" He asked while getting offended. Tiger shrugged.

"That means we know it but I haven't seen it yet," he said. Arjun looked at Kainaat and then at Avyan. "You too?" He asked and Avyan shrugged again.

"Didn't get time. I was shooting for JJJ until late night on Thursday and then we had to leave for her Masi's house for Ganpati Puja. I just got free today and you all called me here." He spoke in his defence. "I am sure it will be great. We will catch up on it pretty soon." Kainaat said and Arjun scoffed.

She narrowed her eyes at him. "Please, Kainaat. At least, me, Avi and Tiggy know you well and how many movies of us you see." He said and laughed again.

"Hey," she shouted and added as soon, "I do see all of your movies." Avyan laughed this time. "She hasn't yet seen Badlapur," he said and added, "Others are far away anyway."

Kainaat kept frowning while glaring at him. "I know you don't appear on screenings as well," Malaika spoke and Kainaat sighed. "Fine, guys but I do see everything when I get free from shoots," she said and got a glare from the rest.

"You had a year, Inu. You just agreed with her," Avyan said and Kainaat just thought of getting busy with food. "That's so bad, girl. You didn't even give me a review when I sent you mine and Avi's ad." Disha said and Kainaat kept chewing her food.

"Very bad." Arjun said and Tiger laughed along with Malaika when Kainaat pressed a smile at Arjun. "I'll be throwing screen for both of my upcoming movies. Let's see who comes." Avyan said and pressed a smile when Kainaat looked at him.

"Guys, be easy on me. I try." She said and got a look in return from everyone. "Sure." Disha said and Kainaat could just sigh again.

The brunch got over by late afternoon and the rain was somewhat calming by now. The photographer took as many pictures of those six A-listers as they left the place and walked to their cars.

"One picture, Avi sir." A couple of photographers rushed after Avyan and Kainaat. He nodded and smiled at them. "We already posed guys. Next time now. Chalo." He said while smiling for them again and getting into his car. Kainaat was already inside when he got into the driver's seat and started the engine.

"Home?" He asked and Kainaat nodded. "At my place. I need to meet Shyloh, Baapu and Mommy, Bhaiyaa as I'll be super busy again from tomorrow." She said. Avyan nodded and drove the car to her house.

"Then if we are going there, let's meet my parent as well." He said and Kainaat smiled as she gave him a nod.

It was late when they made their way back to their home. The darkness was already in the surroundings but the streets were decorated for Bappa that brightened everything around. Kainaat smiled while looking out from the closed window. The droplets were dripping down from the glass even when the rain stopped completely by now.

She moved her gaze at Avyan to the side and put her hand over his hand that was resting on the gear. "You know what, Avi..." She said and stopped briefly. "Hmm..." Avyan said without moving his gaze away from the traffic.

"Sometimes I just hate that we have to stay away from each other for days." She said and Avyan looked at her when the car halted. He smiled while knowing her too well. She loved spending time with her loved ones but at the same time, she loved to face that camera as much.

"It will be fine once you face that camera. You are just gotten lazy because of this off period," he said and she smiled while nodding. "I guess but I still miss you no matter what set I am on. I wish someone can offer us something so I can spend more time with you and do what I love." She said and pressed a sad smile.

"I just hope that when every script comes my way and I get sad when I hear some different names." She said and took a deep breath. Avyan put his hand over her head and shook it gently before moving it to the steering wheel again. "I wish for the same. Let's see who comes for our rescue." Avyan said and smiled again. Kainaat smiled and bent to his side while putting her head on his arm.

Avyan smiled as he bent his head and pecked the top of her head. He moved his gaze back to the road and moved his leg away from the break when the signal changed to green. Kainaat closed her eyes to feel the peace that she gets every time he is around. She needed to fly out of the city soon and away from him again. She loved her work a little more but leaving him every time behind bothered her too. All she wished was for someone to hear her heart and cast them together for once and she hoped for it to happen soon as #kavyan was getting love from people around anyway. She just hoped for some good filmmaker to offer them some good movie.
