Karan adjusted his bow tie as he looked into the camera and put his usual smirk on. Another season of Koffee with Karan was coming to an end today and for the finale episode he thought of calling the newest couple of the town much to his displeasure, you can say. He always had his set of preferences whom he sided the most, whom he cast in his best movies, with whom he loved to share the couch with.

But Avyan was his boy, the one who has been with him since he joined the industry. He was Avyan's mentor, the one reliable person Avyan would go to in the industry despite the controversial life Karan possessed. He respected and trusted Karan the most. Karan on the other hand, always had thought of him as his own. And Kainaat being the girl his favourite boy loves with all his heart since years, it was Karan's duty to accept her. So it was his small attempt in that direction.

Kainaat's badass behaviour and no filter mouth had always kept her away from the couch. So it was her first appearance after her debut which happened some 8-9 years ago. The episode became controversial because she addressed the fakeness of the industry and made a displeasing comment regarding the biasedness some directors or producers have for some actors. She still hasn't changed her opinion and Karan was well aware of the same but lately, the newfound couple is soaring high with love from the audience because of their cute banter and effortless chemistry. So it was his duty to have them on the show to help the TRPs. After all, it was their first appearance together in any talk shows.

Karan put a wide smile again when the director called for action and widened his smirk as he rubbed his hands together and started to read his lines.

"Good evening everyone and welcome to Koffee with Karan Season 8. Today we are concluding another successful journey of something which is closest to my heart. So I thought why don't we celebrate this amazing journey with a blockbuster Finale episode?" He said with a smile and in his host tone. He rubbed his hands together again as he started the next lines.

"So, today I have two celebrity guests, who are poles apart, whether it's their personalities or behaviour. They are different in every way but there are just two things that connects them together and that's movies and love. So, please welcome the two most celebrated actors of this generation. The couple who made it official this year by removing that question mark from their relation. The very talented, handsome, funny, everyone's favourite and my boy, Avyan Rishi along with the gorgeous, and one of the best actor we have out there, Kainaat Mukherjee." He said and clapped while looking back and getting away from the camera to welcome everyone's new favourite couple.

The camera focused on the couple making their entry. Kainaat looked elegant in her light mint colour gown featuring silver embellishments around the waist. Side swept hair, simple make-up and minimal accessories beautifully complemented her attire. Avyaan on the other hand looked dashing as ever in his black slim fit suit with a white shirt and black double-breasted waistcoat. His hair was neatly styled and beard was well trimmed making him look more mature and charismatic.

Avyan and Kainaat ditched the regular way where couple came hand in hand and instead made their way through that red carpet with wide smiles as they walked side by side. Avyan being his excited self showed a few danced steps while walking alongside Kainaat and she just laughed at his funny banter. Avyan went further ahead being the dramatic he was, ran at the entrance and bowed down as he held one hand for his lady love. Kainaat smiled widely yet shyly and moved past him with Avyan following her behind.

Karan gave them both a wide smile and welcomed. Kainaat gave him a quick hug and made her way to the couch behind. Avyan gave him an extra tight hug showing his happiness and Karan reflected it. Avyan left him and made his way to be at Kainaat's side and got seated comfortably on the couch beside her.

Karan gave them a smile again as he adjusted in his chair.

"You can keep a little distance between, Avyan. You don't need to follow Akshay," Karan said teasingly. Avyan looked at Kainaat to the side with a smile. Kainaat reflected it.

"It's good this way. I agree with Akshay Sir," he said sitting closely beside her. Kainaat chuckled and pushed him slightly but he refused to move anywhere. Karan chuckled along with a teasing look and shook his head.

"So this is your first appearance together in the show?" He asked. Kainaat and Avyan smiled at him and nodded.

"Yes, first appearance together and my second appearance on this show. And I'm pretty sure you would have ditched me on this season too if it wasn't for Avyan." Kainaat said and pressed a smile at Karan. Avyan chuckled looking at his mentor. Karan smiled while looking down at the cards in hand, very well aware of what he has done.

"That's not true, love," he still said as he looked at Kainaat as he spoke again, "I sent you the invite last time and you rejected it." Kainaat raised her eyebrows after hearing him.

"Really? I might have missed the invite then, Karan," She said with a smirk. They both knew that there wasn't any invite but still played along. Avyan just sat there while enjoying the show as a small smile played on his lips.

"Maybe. But I got to say that you killed it the first time you came." Karan said while pointing at the obvious. Kainaat smiled.

"Rather I was about to kill my career as the industry sadly is still full of people who hold the flag, thinking they lead it and can do whatever they want to. They think they have the power to shove others out who might be actually talented than their preferences." She said. Karan smiled again not knowing how to reply to that. He knew he is in a deep mess if he doesn't play it safe.

Avyan hid his smile and adjusted in his seat. Kainaat smiled back sarcastically as she rested in her seat again.

"Okay, I just need to be extra careful with you now," Karan said and cleared his throat. Kainaat let out a laugh.

"You like controversies, Karan. That's what you said and that's why you made this show whose every season gets draped into one or other controversy." She said again.

"I didn't do that purposely, Naatz." Karan said, "Well you can say it happens because people talk their heart out."

"Seriously?" Kainaat asked while raising her eyebrows.

"I like to think that way," Karan said and smiled at her.

"It's fine too." Kainaat smiled and put her leg above other as she spoke again, "I don't like bursting bubbles unnecessarily, so if you are happy then it's fine." Karan looked at Avyan and smiled. Avyan just let out a laugh, knowing his girl well and he didn't mind her being outspoken.

"Okay, coming to Avyan, it's your fourth time coming to the show. How do you feel?" Karan said to the safe option he had at the moment and that was his boy.

"Yes, I'm honoured, Karan that you actually thought of me in all the seasons since I debuted. This platform actually defines your state in the industry." Avyan said. Karan smiled.

"That's not true," Karan said. Avyan let out a laugh again.

"It is." He said. Karan smirked this time.

"I guess someone is wiping on you well." He said sarcastically. Avyan chuckled as Kainaat let out a laugh.

"It's a good right? Speaking your mind?" Avyan asked. Karan gave him a teasing look.

"Yes it is and that's why we have this platform," Karan said again while playing it cool.

"Everyone did speculate over the years that you two might be closer than you show. So what made you go official all of sudden after staying tight-lipped all the years." Karan said and looked at Kainaat.

"Kainaat?"

"I would say that there is a certain time for all the things that happen in life. It wouldn't have been right for us to have come into this industry and announce our relationship right away. It's crazy." She said getting a little serious.

"We had no identity of our own and at that time it was a need to set our career before we make it official you say and the decision even now didn't come out as sudden. I wouldn't have agreed even today to make it official or whatever if a certain people haven't checked my patience." She said and looked at Avyan. He gave her a nod. Karan shook his head in understanding.

"But you know, this industry is that way where you'll share screen with someone and he too will romance someone else. So the jealousy won't work here." He said. Kainaat nodded and was about to speak again but Avyan beat her to it.

"I guess you got her wrong, Karan. What she was trying to say was that certain people push those bars in a way which is not limited to sharing screen space. There were news going on about me dating a certain actress..." Avyan said.

"Shanaya," Karan said while correcting him. Avyan nodded.

"Yes, Shanaya and I just made it clear that I am not in a relationship with her but I have loved this very girl since the teen phase of my life." He said.

"That's because people like your chemistry with her," Karan said pointing out.

"Maybe because you didn't let those people see any other chemistry," Kainaat said and pressed a smile. Karan shrugged with a smile, unable to say anything over that.

"Well, of course. But, your love story seems to be straight out of a fairytale. Isn't it?" Karan asked while looking at Avyan and spoke again, "I mean I have made movies about childhood sweethearts turned into lovers but you are a live example of the same." Avyan and Kainaat looked at each other and smiled.

"So where did it start?" Karan asked while smiling genuinely now. #kavyan moved their gazes to Karan again. Avyan started this time around.

"I have known her since forever. You can even say that she is the first friend I have had in this world. Our dad's have been very good friends and so we have been too. We used to go on vacations together and stuff." He said and looked at Kainaat with a smile. She smiled back.

"So she has been my best friend throughout the years. She knew me the best and still does." He said and looked at Karan again, "I don't know when exactly the feeling got changed from being a friend to being more than that."

"But... I would say it's when she went to Boston University to study psychology and I went to Nottingham. The distance was too much...and...." Avyan said again and smiled gently. Karan smiled back at him while letting him speak.

"Well, I started missing her presence and it stroke to me at that time... That maybe we have grown closer than being just friends." Avyan said further. Kainaat smiled while looking at Avyan with adoration.

"You shared the same thing?" Karan asked as he moved his gaze to Kainaat. Kainaat looked at him and chuckled.

"Yes, I mean I don't have many friends and he was the one there since the start. So... Well, it was for me like... I was in a little denial. When he accepted his feelings I was like... No maybe we are feeling that way because we have been best friends." She said with a bit awkwardness. She has always been a little shy when it came to her love life. She looked at Avyan as he smiled at her while getting her. He looked at Avyan.

"So she took much of the time deciding whether she really loves me or not. And then after thinking for months she finally reached a conclusion." He said. Kainaat chuckled.

"That's cute," Karan said through a smile.

"But you are different from each other..." He was saying again when Avyan cut him.

"That's what you think, Karan. The people who are closest to her knows how she is. People have a different perception of her because she talks her mind. She never held herself back from pointing out what's wrong. And maybe that's why people dislike her." He said. Karan nodded.

"You always find a sweet person easy to go with even if he... Well, might be stabbing your back but you'll always hate on the person who will make you understand your flaws." Avyan said again. Kainaat and Karan exchanged a look of smile.

"I agree." He said.

"So yeah... I know the real Kainaat Mukherjee and I consider myself very lucky." Avyan said and looked at her. Kainaat smiled back at him shyly.

"That's sweet," Karan said while interrupting the eye lock the couple was sharing. They looked back at him.

"So now keeping the talks aside for a few moments, let's get to play some games. First being rapid-fire." Karan said while giving a look to them. Kainaat and Avyan smiled as they nodded.

"I guess Avyan has won this one before and Kainaat you lost it to Aditya when you came last time, so here is your chance," Karan said again.

"All the best both of you." He said. Kainaat looked at Avyan and raised her eyebrows. Avyan just smirked at her.

"So I'll ask questions and you need to make your choice," Karan said and looked into card in hand.

"So let's start with Kainaat." He said. Kainaat shook her head.

"Let's go with Avi." She said.

"I'm fine." Avyan nodded.

"Okay. Playing safe?" Karan asked with a teasing smirk. Avyan chuckled.

"No. I'm really OK." He said. Karan nodded with a smile.

"Arrange them based on acting skills. From best to not so best..." Karan said making a face. Avyan nodded.

"Shanaya, Deepika, Priyanka, Kareena," Karan asked and looked at Avyan.

"Umm..." Avyan made a thoughtful face as he continued with unsurety, "Priyanka, Kareena,..." He stopped and chuckled.

"Hmm Shanaya maybe and Deepika. Or both. I am not sure," He said with a shrug. Karan raised his eyebrows.

"You need to be sure to win," Karan said. Avyan just shrugged again.

"Moving on... Arrange based on your favourite." He said. Avyan shook his head with a chuckle.

"Oh god," Avyan said as Kainaat started laughing.

"Yami, Jacqueline, Shanaya, Sara," Karan asked and smirked while looking at him. Avyan sighed and looked at Kainaat with a known look. She chuckled as he moved his gaze back at Karan.

"Karan, you don't take my girlfriend's name. That's not fair." Avyan said. Karan raised his eyebrows.

"But it's your co-stars and I don't want you to be biased." He said.

"What if I'm biased towards my girlfriend? Everyone is..." Avyan said and shrugged. Karan laughed.

"People are even biased towards actors when they cast. So it's nothing." Kainaat said and smirked a little. Karan got his cue as he smiled while looking down. Avyan put a hand on his face as he contained his smile.

"Exactly." He said.

"I mean you decide who to cast and later work on character it seems. Sometimes it's not that way too." Kainaat said again and gave an impressive smile. Karan was unable to say a thing so he just kept reading his card.

"You write a character where you need a person to dance, who dreams of becoming a dancer and then you cast someone who don't know the D of dancing." She said further.

"How is it even convincing?" Kainaat asked while raising her eyebrows.

"People should be able to believe what they see." She said while taking a brief look at Avyan and looked back at Karan. Avyan just silently watched the show.

"I know who you are talking about but Kainaat, her personality matched the character," Karan said acting innocent. Kainaat chuckled.

"So, you think there are no people around who have that personality and could dance well?" Kainaat asked again as she raised her eyebrows. Karan smiled and shook his head.

"I never said." He said.

"You implied that," Kainaat said. He smiled and nodded.

"Okay. I guess I am in trouble again." He said as Avyan let out a laugh.

The rapid-fire continued with Avyan and later Karan moved on to Kainaat. The winner of the competition was Kainaat knowing her wittiest answers. Avyan happily handed her the hamper.
