The huge periodic set was build up in the film City of Hyderabad. The shoot of periodic drama helming a few big names from Bollywood was taking place at the place from the past few days. People around were asked to keep their mobiles away from the location so nothing from the set gets leaked into media. The project was a dream and it was kept in wraps by any means.

Avyan took out his Salwar Kurta and got comfortable into a white T-shirt and light blue jeans. He washed off the heavy make up he did to get into the skin of the character. The kajal refused to leave his eyes and he didn't bother to do further efforts. He was already tired with a day-long shoot in heavy makeup and periodic attire. He just took his sweet time to adjust his hair which were longer than usual and with which he was so obsessed. Everyone from the set and many people from the industry was well aware of this obsession.

He got out of his vanity and found his co-star, Shanaya Malhotra flaunting her bright face to the few media people and fans. He made a pained face knowing what might be coming next. The thing he hated the most. Faking it to the people. But the industry is full of such fakeness. People sometimes fake a relationship to promote a movie and other times they fake closeness in front of people to sell the pair and thus the movie.

Avyan still put a smile on his face which was kept hiding behind his longer than usual beard and walked up to where media and fans were. Shanaya moved her gaze towards him when she noticed him coming towards her. He looked hot in the new look that he was carrying for the movie. Hairs longer than usual, kajal in the eye, a silver kada in on hand along with silver bali in one ear. Shanaya smiled widely as she rushed to his side and held his arm. Avyan knowing her well after doing 2-3 films together didn't react much. They walked to the raised cameras hand in hand and with wide smiles. Avyan tried to free himself but Shanaya kept him closer.

"Aw, they look so good together." One girl from the crowd said while clicking their picture. Shanaya smiled to the widest and looked at Avyan who was pressing an unpleasant smile. He didn't mind posing, in fact, it was part of his profession but doing fake publicity for the sake of selling a film and in-process fooling your audience was something he never liked.

A few people came forward and placed their selfie cameras in front. Shanaya clung as much as she could until Avyan kept a distance again. He was already on the verge of break up with Kainaat when they shot a movie couple of years back. The reason? Kainaat didn't like how Shanaya and he do the fake publicity and Avyan was not going to repeat the mistake. Losing Kainaat would be the last thing he will even think of.

He sure had a good bond with Shanaya considering she was his first co-star but sometimes she goes overboard to promote them as a couple as she finds them gorgeous together. They gave some different poses to the cameras, some of them being cozy. Avyan made a mental note to call Kainaat later in the evening.

"Shavyan, look over here." One media person called and came forward with a video camera. They both flaunted a smile.

"How do you both have such effortless chemistry?" She asked. Shanaya put on her brightest smile yet again and fake laughed.

"We have the bond that is strongest. So the chemistry comes natural." She said. Avyan just smiled while looking at her and looked back into the lenses.

"You both give some real couples run for their money. Many actually thought that you both are dating until Avyan declared his relationship with Kainaat." The media person said again. Avyan sighed.

"Yes, he sure did surprise all of us." Shanaya said sounding sugery sweet.

"Many people were hurt by your decision, Avi." The same media girl said again. Avyan pressed a smile to her.

"Well, I can't help it. I can't do something which I don't like just to keep people around pleased. I mean some people like me with Shanaya, others do with Kriti, some do with Kiara, and rest with Navya but I can't make all fans happy." He said with a smile and keeping calmness in his voice though he wanted to give it back to the girl. But he couldn't. There are rules set after all. He can't break them.

"It's my personal life and it doesn't depend on how gorgeous you look with your partner. It's beyond that, right, Shanaya?" He said and put a hand over Shanaya's shoulder as he looked down at her. She held his hand back and looked up at him.

"Of course." She said staying as close to him and looked in lenses again, "Kainaat is a great girl."

"She sure is when her attitude is put out." The media girl said and Avyan gritted his teeth. He won't mind breaking those stupid rules to protect his girl and defend her. Shanaya laughed along with the girl.

"Excuse me?" Avyan asked while raising his eyebrows. The media girl got his displeasure and adjusted her posture.

"What I meant was she gets mood swings so often." She said again with a smile and choosing her words wisely this time. Avyan was about to counterattack her when Shanaya broke in.

"That is true but she is a great human." She said to handle the situation. Avyan was already pissed by the comment that he moved his hand away and looked to the other side while folding his hands over his chest.

"She sure is." The media person said with a smile.

"I would prefer if you keep your opinions out of this interview." Avyan said through the gritted teeth. Shanaya held his hand.

"Avi." She whispered to him but he rolled his eyes.

"Sure. Tell me about the movie." The media person said to get the matter cool.

"Well, you need to wait for that." Avyan said and held Shanaya's hand.

"Excuse me." He said and pressed a smile to lenses and looked at Shanaya to the side, "Shanaya?"

He pulled Shanaya to the side and away from the crowd where there weren't any outside people. A few crew people were winding up the things by taking out sensitive electronic devices and keeping them safe. Avyan made Shanaya face him and gave some displeasing expressions.

"What was that?" He demanded. Shanaya thought of playing dumb and showed her confused face to him.

"What are you talking about, Avi?" She asked. Avyan took a frustrated breath and watched her again.

"Keep that fakeness to low. Don't go overboard." He said with irritation but still kept his sweetness intact because that's how he was. He was good and believed in treating people well. There wasn't once that he misbehaved with someone even after getting frustrated to the core. He often chose to express his displeasure through his witty sarcasm and jokes so it won't be too offending or rude.

In Kainaat's words, he was naive and too good for his own good.

"It's needed, Avi. Don't you know how the industry and films work?" She asked trying to get a little closer to him. He sighed and looked to the side.

"We need to fake the relation sometimes to get the audience. Come on!" She said again and held his hand as she spoke again, "They love us as a pair. We have already delivered some hit movies. We are compared to the likes of SRK-Kajol. It's huge." Avyan gave her a look.

"SRK-Kajol? It's stupid." He said. She smiled.

"You have seen the craze. Don't kill it." She said while making him understand. "People come to the theatre to watch us together." She said again and made him look at her.

"We are our generation's most celebrated jodi." She said. Avyan sighed while hearing her.

"I don't know about that but please, don't just fake it to the core that people will actually point it out." He said. She smiled and nodded.

"It's OK to not have chemistry but it's embarrassing to get caught." Avyan murmured. Shanaya let out a sigh of relief to have made him understand a few things. She enjoyed the attention they got as a pair and she wanted to flaunt them. She was already seeing them as one of those classic couples Bollywood had and she was succeeding too as they were all over the media ever since their second film as the best on-screen couple. She even tried to patch herself with him in real but failed there.

"Sure, Avi. Let's have some food and post a selfie for all Shavyaan fans." She said.

"Come on." She said and pulled him along.

"Excuse me, Avi Sir." One of the crew members called Avyan.

"Yes." Avyan asked keeping his irritated state out.

"Kainaat ma'am is here to meet you." The person said it again and Avyan's eyes went wide this time. Kainaat was here? Since when? His gaze moved rapidly. He didn't want to upset her over anything. Though she knew how this industry worked he still wanted to make a few things clear.

"What?" Avyan asked. The man nodded.

"I told her to interrupt but she said she will stand there and wait until you both were done." He said. Avyan sighed as his gaze locked with Kainaat at standing at some distance. She got here right on time when the shoot ended but thought of watching the PDA Avyan was having with Shanaya. The thing she hated the most. She was here to surprise Avyan after 20 days of his outdoor shoot but her mood was long gone now.

"Inu?" Avyan called her. Kainaat was already in a bad mood after seeing everything that happened. She gave a glare to Avyan and Shanaya, who was stunned to see her there. Never in her wildest dreams, she expected Kainaat there. Knowing Kainaat's temper issues she just kept her mum.

Kainaat turned into her spot and started walking away.

"INU..." Avyan shouted and started running after her. In no time, he caught her speed and managed to stop her by coming in front.

"Hey, wait. What happened?" He asked looking at her with worry. She raised her eyebrows and folded her arms over her chest.

"What happened? Are you seriously asking me that?" She asked with anger. "What the fuck was that there?" She asked again making her voice slightly loud but contained herself.

"Just regular promotions. Nothing else." Avyan said putting a smile and holding her hand. He kissed her fingers as he gave her his sweetest smile. Kainaat took a deep breath.

"I don't promote my films by clinging onto my costar but surprisingly they still work." She said and pressed a smile. Avyan moved closer to her.

"Inu, you know it's just for show and this film." He said. She rolled her eyes and looked away from him while feeling irritated.

"Why are you acting like this? It's usual. I mean we promote movies, we show off our chemistry. Everyone does that. That means nothing. You have been here since before me and you know it better. It's just to sell the movie ticket." He said telling her the things she knew already. Kainaat looked at him with irritated expressions and raised her eyebrows while hearing him.

"I know story matter but these promotions add to it. You know that, Inu." Avyan said further with a nod. Kainaat jerked his hand away from hers and turned around as she made her way towards Shanaya who was just watching the couple with frustrated expressions. She moved her gaze right away when she saw Kainaat making her way towards her.

"Kainaat." Avyan called out but Kainaat didn't stop. Kainaat faced Shanaya and folded her arms as she gave her a pressed smile.

"I get your excitement of sharing screen space with your favorite co-star, Shanaya but try to keep your hands to yourself." Kainaat said. Shanaya gave her a smile.

"Of course, Kainaat. You are taking it wrong." She said covering up the act. Kainaat looked at Avyan briefly before moving her gaze back to Shanaya.

"He might be naive to get a few things but I can see them all. I know what you are trying to do here." She said again. Shanaya threw an innocent and confused look at her.

"What do you mean?" She asked. Kainaat chuckled.

"People might be stupid to buy that cute innocent face of yours but I see through it." She said further. Shanaya didn't say anything more.

"I can read people." Kainaat said again.

"I am just trying to please our fans. I mean, come on." She said and let out a laugh before speaking again, "You are an actress and you know how much people like to see you with Aditya."

"You guys post cute pictures." She said cutely again. Kainaat had a small smile hearing Shanaya. She chuckled.

"Surprisingly Shanaya, I don't remember him lifting me up or me trying to kiss his cheek, hold his arm tightly, post cozy pictures with him on social media." Kainaat said. Shanaya didn't have anything more to say. She stared at Avyan who was standing silently beside his wonder woman, looking worried. He was confused with Kainaat's sudden outburst. He has done many promotions in the past but this was something new to witness.

"I am not blaming you all but everyone equally so I hope you don't take it to heart." Kainaat said and looked at Avyan briefly with a glare. He just moved his gaze to the ground like always.

"Of course, not." Shanaya said sweetly.

"Also, just a pinch of advice. I hope you don't mind." Kinaat said again while looking at Shanaya.

"Sure." Shanaya said because that's what she could have done anyway.

"Try to act natural and real sometimes. People might like you more." Kainaat said with a pressed smile. Avyan's eyes widened hearing his no filter Kainaat.

"Inu..." He said in a low voice. She turned to face him now with a pressed smile.

"Avi, darling. You are so sweet to know a few people. Just because you are good that doesn't mean the whole world is the same." She said. He crooked his eyebrows. She looked at Shanaya who gritted her teeth.

"No offense but I am just pointing my myself." She said while chuckling and put a hand around Avyan's arm. Her way of showing that he belonged to her and just her. She looked at Shanaya who was staring at their hands with unpleasing expressions and spoke again, "People call me bitch, arrogant, moody but look at him then."

"Also, I hope I don't have to see this view again, Avi." She asked. He gave her a smile and nod.

"Let's get going, baby." She said again, "Should we?"

"Of course." He said and looked at Shanaya who gave the couple an awkward smile and vanished from their sight. Kainaat gave Avi a death glare once Shanaya was out of the view.

He shrugged as she jerked his hand away and pushed him off.

"Baby, I am sorry." He said cheesily and got a glare from her. He smiled sheepishly and got closer to her.

"Let's get back to the hotel. I am hungry and I am in no mood to go anywhere with you." Kainaat said and pushed him away. He just nodded and followed her to her car.

The car halted at the hotel she was staying at, which was not the same as Avyan's. She didn't like to meddle in his professional life and kept her distance. She just wanted to surprise Avyan when she got a couple of days off from her work. Avyan just silently followed her to her room.

"Inu, just forget yaar. We were just faking everything." Avyan said following Kainaat inside her suite.

"You will kiss her tomorrow in front of media and tell me that you were faking it." She said after throwing her bag on the bed.

"Why would I do that?" Avyan asked. Kainaat faced him by folding her arms.

"Maybe to sell the tickets?" She said sarcastically and walked past him. Avyan sighed and held her from the back.

"Gosh, Avi you just frustrates me." Kainaat said while struggling in his embrace.

"I am sorry. Listen, you know it's just a friendly thing and nothing more." Avyan said hiding his face in the crook of her neck.

"Yeah right." She said while rolling her eyes and poked into his stomach with the elbow. Avyan winced and left her. Kainaat rolled her eyes and started walking away again. Avyan held her wrist and pulled her back to him. She lost her balance with the sudden move and collided with him.

Avyan fell on the bed with her beside him. He started laughing hard and got hit by Kainaat. She tried to get up but Avyan held her arm and pulled her back and closer to him.

"Inu, I love you." He said and turned her around as he got above her. Kainaat frowned looking up at him to which he smirked and pecked on her lips. She smiled widely for the first time making him chuckle.

"What's with sudden outburst? You know it all." He said shifting from above her and moving beside her. Kainaat tilted her head to look at him on the side from the same sleeping position.

"I don't like anyone touching you outside that action and cut." She said with a frown again. "Fine. Call me a psycho but you are just mine. You better know that." She finished while shouting at him. Avyan just stared at her. She turned on her side towards him and adjusted her body weight on her elbow as she watched Avyan down.

"I am possessive and to be in your arms? That's my place, to begin with, and I am definitely not sharing it with anyone." She said. Avyan smiled slyly while listening to those words. It was first for him to see this possessive side of Kainaat and he liked it.

"Wow, that's one new side I saw today. Possessive side of Kainaat Mukherjee." He said and moved his hands around her body he pulled her towards him. Her chest collided with his as she fell down on him.

"Avi." She said widening her eyes to which he chuckled and pulled her even closer.

"You never got possessive over anyone before." He said in a low voice while pecking on her nose. She chuckled.

"Because I had no one who was just mine." She said and bent down. She placed a soft kiss on his lips and pulled away quickly to tease him. Avyan smiled and put her beside him as he faced her.

"You had me as long as I remember." He said. Kainaat smiled.

"Avi, you don't get a few things." She said. He frowned.

"What things?" He asked getting up a little and resting his head on palm as he looked down at her.

"She is not just promoting. It's more than that." Kainaat said.

"No, Inu..." Avyan was sayin when Kainaat shook her head slightly.

"Avi, I can read her. I can get it from her actions as to what she is trying to do." She said from whatever she noticed about Shanaya.

"Sometimes it's OK to be bad. I know you don't fake your sweetness and are genuine." She said while holding his face, "I have seen you acting friendly with people who don't deserve your friendship but Avi..."

"This industry doesn't work that way." She said. Avyan smiled gently at her.

"You need to be tough and strong." She said again. He bent forward towards her.

"I understand and you are there to save me. Why do I need to be tough?" He said and kissed her cheeks. She smiled while feeling him closer to her.

"I have you." He said while pulling back a little but still staying closest to her.

"You lost your cool when they said a few bad things about me. Then do it for yourself too." She asked while moving her hands over his overgrown beard. He smiled.

"Then what will remain for you?" He asked and winked. She blushed and moved her face away from his. Avyan smiled seeing her like this. It's not everyday when you get to see soft side of Kainaat but still he had seen it most of the times.

"You are such a waste." She said and started getting up only to be pushed back by Avyan.

"Now don't be mad. I am sorry." He said and pecked on her forehead.

"It's OK." She said with a gentle smile. A playful smile formed on her lips and she looked into those dark brown eyes.

"Try to act with other actresses too. There are many out there." She said teasingly, stating he has done enough work with Shanaya already. "You don't have to always say yes to your mentor." She said and smirked. Avyan gave her a known look.

"Yes, now I will work with my most favorite co-star next." He said with a playful smile. She laughed.

"Let me kiss her first." He said and bent towards her again. She pushed him playfully as he spoke again, "I have been wanting to do that for a long time."

"You are so cheesy. Go away." She said while giggling.

"Inu...!" Avyan complained.

"What?" She asked looking above at him. "I am hungry." She said again with a pout, "I will have my food first."

"And then?" Avyan asked with a smirk. She smiled slyly.

"Then I will think." She said in a seductive voice while moving her hand through his beard and lifted her head up and reached to his ear.

"Keep the beard and hair long and wear that Kajal. You look extra sexy and so hot." She said again in a low voice keeping her lips close to his ear and bit on the ear-lobe at end. She pulled back a little and looked into his eyes as she smirked at him.

"You seriously like to play with my feelings, no?" He asked as she started laughing hard. He chuckled along and wrapped his arms around her while letting them fall on the bed again.
