The Sun was bright and beautiful as ever as the cameras were set perfectly for one of the youngest couples of Bollywood. Karthik Suri, the well-known face of the tinsel town, was instructing the people around about today's photoshoot. The single vanity van was set for the look change for our very own couple. The team of designers and makeup, hair artists was busy clicking the pictures on the beautiful beach. Avyaan was all decked up in shorts, a shirt, and dark shades as he roamed around on the set barefoot while joking with people. This was the quality of his that was loved by many. While Kainaat, on the other hand, was sitting on one of the chairs with a spot boy holding an umbrella over her head to cover her from the burning sun. She adjusted her glares while sipping on the coconut water as she looked around the place. She wore a navy-blue colored retro boyleg high-waist swimwear suit and a white shrug above it.

The shoot for the new year's issue of Vogue magazine was set in the Palawan island of the Philippines. There have been a lot of offers that started pouring for Avyaan and Kainaat from various brands, magazines, and from a few movie directors as well. Though they haven't zeroed down the brands or movies, they thought of starting their together journey in Bollywood by being the cover couple of Vogue's latest issue. So they flew to the Philippines a day back and thought of ringing the new year there as well after getting done with the shoot.

"Alright, people. Time for some action." Karthik said while clapping and gathering all people around as he was already done with doing his setups.

"Avi and Natz come here." He shouted as Avi jogged his way to him. Kainaat wrapped her shrug around her as she made her way towards Karthik through that white sand.

"Remove that shirt and shrug and get into posing mode," Karthik said without wasting any more time. They needed to get done with this shoot today if they wanted to spend the new year here tomorrow without working. Kainaat became a bit conscious after the comfortable piece of clothing was removed from her body and she was left in the swimwear.

It wasn't like this was her first doing something bold but she always had this feeling stuck with her when she had to do such bold shots. But once she was in the skin of the character, her audience won't even know if she is the same awkward Kainaat. Avyaan smiled at her and extended his hand towards her. She took it happily and stood closer to him.

"Don't worry. You are looking beautiful." He whispered for just her to hear. Kainaat smiled and nodded while looking at him. It was their first time working together on any of the assignments. Maybe people from the industry didn't see their sizzling and effortless chemistry until now.

"Be natural. Your chemistry is anyway raising the bars." Karthik said giving an impressive smile as he held his lenses high to capture the gorgeous couple who were shining bright while the sea complimented them so well.

The cosy photo session which was happening amongst just a few selected and best people went on for a few hours. The look changes happened in between along with the individual shots and interviews. Everyone's dear Kavyan answered a few fan questions and played rapid-fire along with a compatibility test. The winner to which was Avyaan without a doubt. He even went on to complain about how she doesn't watch most of his movies. She defended herself stating otherwise but when has anyone won from Avyaan? He proved himself by asking her a few questions related to his movies. She gave in happily making him laugh at her cuteness.

The people around adored the bond and with that, Kainaat. They were getting to see a new version of her with him around. She was being herself by removing the shell she keeps wearing around her, she was being free which was new to people around. But they were happiest to witness the change in her. Karthik was the happiest man alive out there as he got the best shots in less time considering the comfort Kainaat and Avyaan shared. He called for wrap being satisfied. The two days shoot got ended in a single day and all thanks to the amazing team and the beautiful couple.

They all said their byes and got scattered in different directions to enjoy New Year's eve in their preferred ways. Kainaat got settled on the bed feeling tired after spending the whole day in the Sun with minimal clothing. She looked at Avyaan with a pout as he settled beside her.

"I am burnt. Look at this terrible redness, Avi." Kainaat said while showing him her hands and face which was looking red because of the exposure to the Sun all day.

"It's fine. Not much." Avyaan said with a shrug while looking at the redness on her face. She rolled her eyes and pulled her hands back as she kept looking at them. She sighed and got up from her seat. Avyaan held her wrist while pulled her back towards him.

She ended up on his lap. Avyaan wasted no time and wrapped his arms around her and placed a few kisses on her back, neck, and shoulders. Kainaat chuckled and closed her eyes while feeling him against her skin.

"Where are you going?" He asked.

"To take a bath and then apply some lotion before these burns turn into anything ugly." She said and moved to face him.

"Hmm..." Avyaan nodded while being in his thoughts. He was thinking of how to make today special with her. It was new year's eve and he wanted to spend it in a good way with her. He did look around the island but everything was so usual. So he came up with something on his own but he wasn't sure if they can do what he was planning.

"What?" Kainaat asked putting a hand over his shoulder but still being in his laps. He looked at her and smiled.

"Get dressed in something nice." He said finally thinking of doing the same thing that he was planning. Kainaat gave him a sly smile.

"Okay. Where are you taking me?" She asked while moving her hand on his face. He chuckled.

"Somewhere you will love to be." He said and winked at her. Kainaat chuckled knowing him too well. He always comes up with something different. Something which she has always loved so she was sure today won't be anything different.

"Can't wait." She said through her widest smile and got up as she made her way inside the washroom.

Kainaat got dressed in a red beautiful floral off-shoulder crop top paired with a matching skirt that stopped just above her thighs. She paired it with white sneakers. She kept her hair wavy to suit the beach air and wore a vintage multilayered pendant necklace. She made her way out of the bedroom of the suite she was sharing with Avyaan. He was already ready in a simple plain bright shirt along with Bermuda. He completed the look with a pair of shoes and a neckpiece that was dangling down. He had his camera in one hand while he went through his mobile in the other. Kainaat smiled while approaching him closer. He looked up after sensing her and gave her a warm smile as he got up from the couch and moved towards her.

"You look hot, babe." He said and encircled his hands around her waist while pulling her closer. Kainaat giggled as she put her arms around his neck. She tiptoed and pecked on his lips making him smile wider.

"Ready to go?" He asked again. She just nodded with a shrug. Avyaan put his camera over his shoulder and took his heavily loaded backpack on his back. He then held Kainaat's hand and pulled her out. Kainaat took her bag along the way as they made their way out of the suite.

The weather outside was pleasing one and with the new year's eve, the crowd was bigger than usual on this island. But still, it was safer than most of the places. It wasn't overcrowded but just filled with a few numbers of people. Avyaan held Kainaat's hand securely as they made their way in the opposite direction from the beach and started getting inside the island. Kainaat looked confused as she stared in the direction of the beach where people were playing around or singing something or eating by themselves and looked at Avyaan again.

"Avi, where are we going? It's dark around. Do you think we can find our way back?" Kaniaat asked getting to the small road which was covered with trees from both sides. She was holding Avyaan's hand tight as they walked on that road which was shining in the dim street lights. The starry sky got hidden with the trees but the beach air was still ruffling them and keeping it pleasant.

"We have maps app in our mobile, Jaani and besides, I have a compass if that doesn't work," Avyaan said with a shrug as he looked into his cellphone and in the surrounding.

"Do you even know how to read it?" Kainaat asked while trying to pull his leg. She contained her laughter while looking at the unpleased expression Avyaan gave her.

"Umm no but we will figure out." He said when a few houses came into the picture.

"Don't you think you at least have understood or asked someone in which direction we live?" She asked again. Avyaan sighed and stopped along the tree. The sound of the sea was evident in the surrounding.

"Inu, the sea waves are hitting the shore so loudly that we can hear it from anywhere literally. So stop asking questions and just follow me." He said while looking at her and adjusted his backpack while still holding her hand securely.

"Fine. Don't blame me when we get lost or some ghost comes to scare you." She said and shrugged as she walked past Avyaan and pulled him along.

"I won't." He said but his gaze surely wandered in the surrounding once or twice. Kainaat did notice it but she kept quiet as a small smile formed on her lips.

"I have heard a lot of spooky stories and trust me when I say this that most of them are from some island." She said again teasingly.

"Will you stop?" Avyaan asked with irritation as Kainaat started laughing right away.

"Okay." She said containing her laughter while looking at Avyaan's grumpy face. She shrugged as she spoke again, "I am just trying to make you ready in case."

"Inu, seriously," Avyaan said tiringly. She chuckled.

"I wanted to lit the lantern and make a wish," She whined stating her plans to Avyaan who sighed.

"Those wishes will come true regardless so don't mind." He said. She rolled her eyes.

"Ugh! Avi."

"This better be good." She said with a deep frown as she followed him without knowing the direction or the destination. She looked around at the houses and resorts as some children were playing while some stray dogs were running around in an attempt to hide themselves from the burning crackers and the sound that followed. Kainaat felt sad while looking at those pure innocent souls trying their best to save themselves but it was New Year's Eve so there was no holding back for humans.

Avyaan stopped at some distance from where a few dogs were sniffing to find food but all they were getting was some burnt crackers.

"How about brightening someone else's life?" Avyaan asked taking out Kainaat from her thoughts. She gave him a blank look.

"What do you mean?" She asked. He smiled and moved his backpack at the front as he opened the chain and showed her the same. Kainaat's eyes widened seeing the food he had stuffed inside it.

"Why are you carrying so much food for?" She asked. He chuckled again.

"So you can make someone happy for today." He said taking out one packet of meat.

"How about having a date where we feed stray dogs instead of feeding ourselves? Now, come on." He said asking her to come along as he walked towards the dogs. Kainaat smiled gently adoring the man on her side while she followed him.

The dogs got scared after noticing humans coming near but Avyaan assured them that he wasn't going to hurt any of them. He bent down on his knees as Kainaat helped him to spread the papers they bought along. Avyaan carefully emptied a few packets on the paper as dogs started approaching them still with their insecurities. They licked the meat twice or thrice before they were sure that it was not poison and started eating it right away. There came another bunch and this time Kainaat took the lead as she set the papers and meat at some distance from the first bunch. Both being animal lovers have always had their perks. Todays being no different.

Kainaat held Avyaan's arm as they looked at those pure souls eating the food they got.

"Avi, I love you," Kainaat said as she put her head on his shoulder. Avyaan smiled and pecked on the top of her head.

"I love you too. Now let's get going." He said and looked around. She nodded happily and held his hand tight as they walked further inside to search if there is anyone else left. It took them some hours to get back on the beach and around their resort.

Kainaat was happiest today as her Avi again managed to surprise her in a good way with his different ways. She loved doing these small things, especially for animals as she felt some kind of gratitude and love for them. Today was the best yet again.

"You know, Avi? I want to start a foundation which can work for the abuse against these pure souls." She said as her feet hit the sand and she could see tons of people gathered to lit the firecrackers. She felt sad thinking about those animals who were fearing them a few moments back. Avyaan sighed and nodded.

"We will do something." He said with assurance. Kainaat looked at him with a smile as they walked through that beach in the night. The moon was perfectly placed in the sky as the twinkling of the stars looked just too beautiful.

"You think?" Kainaat asked. Avyaan nodded.

"I know." He said making her happiest. She looked around while feeling content with today. She had her first work assignment with Avi and she had the best date yet and she just hoped that the coming year will bring so many surprises for her in her personal as well as professional life.

The cracker went up in the air just when the clock stroke midnight. She looked at Avyaan who was looking up in the sky at the glitters that cracker left.

"Happy new year, Avi. Hope you stay by my side always and not just for the year that follows." She said in a low voice and her eyes holding the depth. He smiled gently while getting hold of her stubborn hairs which were coming on her face.

"We will always be like this." He said making a silent promise to her. She smiled feeling the butterflies by looking into those chocolate brown eyes who were conveying thousands of things at once.

Avyaan smirked while looking at her blush and pulled her towards the beach by holding her hand tight in his.
