Lavanya was sleeping when the constant ringing of the bell woke her up.

She stood up and sat on the bed as she checked the time to realize she had overslept and was going to be late for work.

She jumped out of bed and was heading towards the bathroom when she halted and stated at her digital clock again and then it hit her that it was her day off and she let out a loud sigh of relief.

The ringing of the doorbell broke her reverie and she groaned annoyed as walked towards the door.

Immediately she opened the door she was shoved back into the room with so much force that she fall to the floor.

She looked up to find Khushi and Suresh glaring at her and she gulped but what was behind her scared the daylight out of her.

It was three police women and two police men.

"This is the woman who tried to kill me yesterday..... Arrest her. " Khushi yelled and Lavanya started crying and professing her innocence as the police women cuffed.

"Khushi I am innocent..... I swear I would never hurt a fly left alone a human being. " Lavanya cried out and Khushi scoffed and rolled her eyes.

"Miss Kashyap you threatened Miss Gupta and you are the only enemy she has so you better come with us silently or  else we would forcefully drag you out. " One of the police women said sternly and Lavanya shook her head begging Khushi to believe her but Khushi threw a disgusted look at her and walked away.

Lavanya was dragged to the car as all her neighbors came out because of the commotion murmuring among each other.

Lavanya was crying begging Khushi to believe her but Khushi wasn't having it and walked into her car as Suresh drove off.

She was praying Lavanya was innocent even though the evidence of her crime was in front of her and the others.

Suresh sensed the hesitation on her face and decided to assure her.

"My dear you did the right thing...... That woman is vicious and  happy Nk also witness what happened at the parking lot....... Stop feeling sorry for criminals like her because she deserves what's coming to her...... You did right. "

Khushi nodded and smiled feeling a little bit at ease but the feeling refuse to leave her.

Because of Arnav's connection and cctv cameras installed by the roadside, the police and investigators moved fast with their investigation and found out Suresh was right all along as the driver waited and only drove into the car and got down escaping from the scene.

He was arrested within two hours as he was a well known crook and con artist and after vigorous interrogation, he confessed to be paid by an anonymous person but provided  the number that was used to call him.

It was a landline number which was traced and after minutes of tracing they found out the number was registered in Lavanya's name and immediately had a judge issue an arrest warrant for Lavanya.

Armav wanted to confront Lavanya but Khushi forbade from leaving his bed even though he didn't want to but knew better not to piss of an angry Khushi so he stay put as the others dealer with it.

Khushi went in to confront Lavanya immediately she made sure Arnav was well taken care of and got Lavanya arrested.

On her drive back to the penthouse she couldn't shake off the feeling Lavanya was right and immediately she entered the apartment, she found the entire Raizada family including the Jhas in the penthouse.

"Khushi are you okay? " Payal asked as she walked up to her and she shook her head and sat on the couch as everyone stared at her worried.

"I don't know.... I can't shake off the feeling Lavanya was telling the truth when she said she wasn't the one who paid the driver to run us over....... What if she has been framed and I humiliated her for nothing....... If Lavanya is innocent then I have just ruined her life for good. "

Arnav walked up to her, sat closer, hugged her as Khushi was almost on the verge of crying.

"Hello hi bye bye I also believe you...... Lavanya may be angry but I doubt she will take it that far. " Mami uttered sceptically.

"Maa you and Khushi are only feeling that way because you believe and see the good in every one but trust me when  I say even the most innocent looking and pious people can be the most evil and one day you will understand what I said this day. " Nani, Mami and the Jhas were taken aback by his words but the others understood what he meant.

"To be sure we have to get cctv footages come lavanya's apartment...... We have to let the police investigate more further because that's the only way to put Khushiji's mind at ease but Khushi you also have to be prepared to be disappointed. " Nk said and everyone nodded.

The door bell rang and Kamala rushed to open it and in entered Aman with a couple behind them.

The woman was crying as the man held her, Akash, Aman and the Raizadas knew who they were except Payal and Khushi.

"Mr and Mrs Kashyap? " Arnav exclaimed and the girls realized who they were.

"Please forgive our daughter...... She has been so obsessed with ASR to much that she hasn't been herself since he broke the engagement and the relationship between ASR and Khushi being made public made her spiral...... We are apologizing on her behave but please release her so that we can commit her into an asylum for treatment. " Rhea cried out and everyone frown at her drastic solution.

"Hello hi bye bye don't you think an asylum is too harsh. " Mami said and everyone felt the anger in her voice.

"Mami is absolutely right...... If Lavanya is mentally disturbed an asylum will be way to harsh for her and could damage her even more...... I am dropping the changes against her. " Everyone stared at Khushi shocked and Arnav pressed her hand showing his support for her decision because deep down they both felt kind of responsible for what happened especially hearing Rhea's words. "She will be evaluated by the best doctors and therapists to help her cope with her mental illness. "

The Kashyaps were stunned seeing how the family were standing up for Lavanya even after her atrocities and it pissed them off.

They thanked Khushi and Arnav but were fuming hearing them being critized and then taking Lavanya's side which they didn't like.

They thought to take advantage of this to get closer to the family but it backfired on the big time.

Delhi Police Station.
Evening.

Lavanya sat in her cell with her eyes puffy and a nose red from so much crying.

She was hurt that Khushi would think that low of her but she also understood why she thought she was the culprit because she had threatened her but what she couldn't understand was how her number was found on the assassin's phone.

She remembered she never went out after her encounter with Nk and only Sim and Pam had visited her at her apartment.

Then it hit her when she realised Sim or Pam might be the ones who used her landline.

She stood up and started pacing back and forth pissed that they had framed her put she didn't understand why they did it because she knew it wasn't because they like her and could have done it to avenge her.

They only hung with her because of the opportunities she gave them so that was definitely not the reason.

She realised in her whole life, only Khushi was the only genuine friend she had and she had to go and mess it up by ruining everything.

She jerked put of her thoughts when she heard the sound of keys clicking and she turned to find the cell being opened.

"You have a visitor. " The police woman exclaimed angrily throwing a disgusted look at her.

She nervously walked out praying it shouldn't be her parent's because they would kill her and won't believe her even if her hench was true.

She walked behind the policewoman and into the visitors room to find Arnav and Khushi sitting waiting for her.

She was stunned seeing them there but what shocked her the most was that Arnav didn't have the reaction she thought he would.

She thought he would be raging like a bull for trying to her Khushi but he was eerily calm which scare Lavanya more.

She sat down nervously pinching her wrist as both stared at her.

"I didn't do it...... I swear to you I will never hurt you...... Please believe me. " Lavanya cried out trying to touch Khushi's hand but she pulled back and she bowed her head.

"Whether you did it our not I can't hold it against you...... I am dropping the changes against you. " Lavanya's head snapped back to her in shock. "Under a condition that you would get professional help....... We have arranged for a specialist for your therapy but you would be wearing an ankle monitor immediately you are let out of her but I would never forgive you for what you did........ You nearly killed innocent people in you jealousy and anger. "

Lavanya nodded knowing she had every right to be mad at her and she knew it would take time to prove her innocence and she would wait but she had to let Khushi and Arnav know about her suspicion.

They both stood up ready to leave when Lavanya called out to them and they turned staring at her.

"I know you still believe I did this but I can prove I am not only innocent but also tell you who the culprits are...... I was framed and I can prove. " Arnav and Khushi stared at each other and back to her. "Check the security camera in my apartment and match the time the call was made to the assassin...... You will find out the truth and don't worry I will still wear the ankle monitor even if my innocence is proved. "

"Who do you think was the one? " Arnav asked and Lavanya sighed.

"It was Sim and Pam...... I know it's them because when  I was being interrogated, they said the time I have called the assassin and I swear I was asleep all that time...... Sim and Pam were in the hall and in my house the whole time and also have access to my house keys..... Please check the security footage and compare them with the time of the calls. "

Lavanya walked away leaving the couple in deep thoughts as the realised she could be telling the truth because they did see Pam and Sim from the apartment complex entering the apartment of Lavanya.

As confused as they were about how Sim and Pam were involved, they couldn't let this slide.

Arnav immediately called the commissioner and told him every and he immediately sent some of his men to retrieve the security camera footage from Lavanya's apartment.

Arnav's Penthouse.

Everyone was sleeping and snoring in the penthouse but there was one person who was wide awake with tears streaming down face as he remembered his good old friends.

It was none other that Shashi.

His has been restless since he saw the Kashyaps and realised who they were and he felt so useless not knowing how to reveal the truth about them to anyone but then it hit him.

He could move his hand and he smiled realising he could write out the truth about the Kashyaps to Arnav, Aman, Akash or Nk because he trusted those boys to always protect his little chatterbox.

He started thinking about how to go about it and God hearing his thoughts, sent Kamala to room to check on him and she was shocked seeing him awake and worried seeing the tears stains on his cheeks.

Shashi smiled seeing her and Kamala rushed up to her and sat by him.

She took some tissue by his bed and wiped his tears and checked to see if he has soiled himself but he was clean.

Shashi with much difficulty raised his hand pointing to the book on the centre table in his room and Kamala immediately rushed to get it.

She opened it and handed the pen to him realising Shashi wanted to say something to her.

Shashi smiled feeling grateful for her presence and he ability to understand him without words.

He started writing down something but it was difficult for him and yet he didn't stop.

It took him hours to finish and when he was done, he was exhausted but Kamala never left his side.

She checked the time and realised it was almost morning as Shashi pushed the book and pen towards him.

"Ooooon.....lllllly......fofo.......for Aaaaaar. "

"Arnav." kamala continued and Shashi nodded with a smile. "But first let me clean you up and get you some breakfast and after am done, I will find Arnav sir alone and give it to him okay. "

Shashi nodded and Kamala his the book not wanting anyone to find them because she knew it was every important for Shashi to exhaust himself to write what ever it was in the book.

With a hour, she had cleaned Shashi up and fed him his breakfast and medicines.

Shashi fell into a peaceful sleep knowing very soon Arnav will make Rhea and Gautam Kashyap pay for the murder of his good friends.

Arnav was soundly asleep with both he and Khushi naked from their lovemaking and enjoying her warmth when the ring of his phone woke him up.

He stared down to find Khushi snoring adorably with her head on his chest.

He smiled and gently moved her away but Khushi frown with a pout not feeling his touch and Arnav chuckled and shook his head.

He gently lifted her by her torso and placed his pillow where he was sleeping and placed Khushi back on it.

She smiled and snuggled into it as she inhaled his scent of the pillow and Arnav giggled at how weird she was.

The phone which has already stopped ringing started to ring again and Arnav looked surprised seeing kamala's name on display.

He received it and Kamala begged to met him in Shashi's room alone.

Arnav immediately dressed up and walked into Shashi's room to find Kamala holding a book and she walked past him and locked the door which confused Arnav.

"Shashiji spent the whole night writing this for you...... I know it's important that's why he exhausted himself so much but don't worry..... I have given him a clean and fed him his breakfast and medicines...... And I think he wants you to read it alone. "

Arnav stared at a sleeping Shashi and back to Kamala and nodded as he unlocked the door and walked out.

He entered his small study and opened the door and the content in it shicked him beyond anything.

"Oh God why...... Why can't you give Khushi along break?..... Why? ....... She would never be the same again but I vow the Kashyaps won't get away from snatching my only parents from me and leaving I and Khushi orphans. "

Arnav was hyperventilating in anger and even the most bravest person would shudder if they saw Arnav.
