A ringing of a phone broke the reverie of a man sleeping spread out in his bed.

He grunt dipping his face more in his pillow annoyed because his beautiful and peaceful sleep was interrupted as he tab the bed side for his phone and he picked it up and raised his head and frown seeing an unknown number on the screen and received it.

"Good Morning Mr Jha,this is Mr Malhotra. " The man revealed to be Shyam Manohar Jha immediately jumped off his bed realizing he was speaking to Soha's boss.

"Good morning to you too Mr Malhotra. "

"I called to personally inform you that we love to have you on our team...... I received your achievement report and former projects from your old law firm and with the testimony from Soha, we welcome you to our team...... You are a good lawyer who unfortunately made  some really bad decisions but hearing what you did in the past months made me realise you deserve a second chance...... I hope you don't disappoint us especially Soha who put her job on line by vouching for you....... I will be expecting you in my office tomorrow morning to go through the contract and pay including benefits. "

Shyam covered his mouth to muffle his crying and thanked Soha's boss.

He run out of his room and saw Soha making coffee in the kitchen.

He yanked her up swirling her around and Soha's initial state of shock turned into laughter.

"Shyam stop. " She squealed as Shyam put her down and kneeled bowing to her.

Soha was stunned by his gesture and ordered him to stop.

He then revealed the call her received and thanked her.

"You deserve it....... This is the chance you need to proof that you can take care of Pihu and Kiara........ You can stay here for as long as you can under our previous condition that you always take Pihu to school....... I am proud of you. " Soha said sincerely and Shyam felt bad and sat on the stool behind him.

"Sometimes I feel I don't deserve all this second chances that are coming my way especially after everything I did...... I have done worst and yet people seems to see something good in me...,..... To Pihu I am her hero, Shashi thinks I am a good man who led a bad life...... You think I deserve a second chance but all this makes me doubt myself and makes me feel more horrible. "

Soha sighed and walked up to him and hugged him, Shyam was taken aback for a moment but reciprocated.

"It's okay to feel this way because it's part of your healing process....... I want you to start seeing a therapist soon...... You need it in fact we all need it. "

Shyam nodded and broke the hug and thanked Soha and he walked back to his room smiling and Soha stared at him with pride.

This was the Shyam she knew from the beginning and she was happy seeing that Shyam again.

For Shyam even though he knew they will never come back together, he will always be there to protect her and their daughter after all she is and will always be his one true love but he never also knew he blew his chance with her and she deserves better.

So now he will dedicate his life making sure his daughters and Soha are always happy and fulfilled in life.

Lavanya wheeled herself to the kitchen to get some water when she saw HP and his brothers frowning and staring at something in the kitchen.

They have all slept in for some reason and were now waking up when it's almost a few minutes to afternoon.

"Hari Prakash? " She called out and Hp turned and smiled at Lavanya. "Why are you and your brother's looking so angry this early morning? "

HP sighed and moved away and Lavanya was stunned and soon it turned to anger seeing Sheetal happily cooking as if she didn't set the house ablaze yesterday.

"She kicked us all out saying she wants to cook for her family and we are in her way....... We have to do it because Khushi bhabhi told us to allow her do anything she wants........ Lavanyaji I don't like this........ She is behaving as if she is the mistress of the house when the only mistresses are Payal and Khushi bhabhi and you. " HP complained to Lavanya who sighed and shook her head.

"Don't worry HP.......... From tomorrow, you won't see this witch anymore. " Lavanya exclaimed mischievously and HP and his brothers stared at her confused but choose to keep quiet knowing she was hinting something big and the possible casting out of Sheetal and Aarav.

Lavanya who couldn't keep her curiosity at bay messaged both Khushi and Payal in the middle of the night and confronted them about their weird behavior since Sheetal and Aarav arrived and they had no choice than to tell her the truth and she was shocked, angry and disgusted at the same time and she vowed to join them.

"Sheetal, what are you cooking? " She asked so innocently that Sheetal thought she was being friendly but she was in for a big surprise.

"Oh hi Lavanya....... I am preparing pasta for Arnav and Aarav because they both love it..,...... Like father like son and I made some for all of you except Payal and Khushi whom I realize are used to the middle class life and will eat traditional Indian foods only. "

Lavanya and the Prakash brothers felt the mockery in her tone and words and wanted to bounce on her but they composed themselves.

"My husband doesn't eat pasta from strangers especially from a fraud like you. "

Everyone turned to find Khushi confidently walking up to them and Sheetal rolled her eyes at Khushi as Payal followed suit.

Khushi walked up to Sheetal and snatched the spoon from her.

She stared into the pot and made a disgusted face and gagged when she smelt the pasta.

"God this smells horrible. "

Payal and the others giggled making Sheetal fume and she was about to let Khushi have some insults when Khushi intentionally hit the pot sending the pasta and the pot upside down with the content spilling everywhere.

"Oops Sorry....... In fact I did you a favor because of how disgusting it was. " Khushi taunted and HP and his brothers took this as an advantage to get into the kitchen  and started cleaning as Khushi dragged Sheetal out into the hall.

"Leave me Khushi. " Sheetal yanked herself out of Khushi's grip.

"Now you better listen to me...... You are no body in this house and I will appreciate it if you know your limit....... Whether Aarav is Arnav's son or not, you will never take my place........ You will only be his mother so you better stay in your limit or else I will make sure you never even get recognised as his mother and this means losing all privileges that comes with it. " Khushi threatened and Sheetal gulped scared of Khushi but she composed herself.

"You..... You..... You can take my son from me......... No court will support you snatching my son from me. " Sheetal stammered and Khushi let out a loud laughter as the others smirked at her and she felt ganged up on.

"I heard you use to be addicted to pills and was once hospitalized for it and that was the beginning of your failed relationship with Arnav....... I can have you framed and paint you into a monster just to get my way....... Go ahead and keep  pushing me and I will make you regret the day you entered our life's. "

Sheetal moved back scared and started calling put for Nani and Mami but they were no where to be found.

"None of them will come to your rescue for two reasons........ One they hate you and two they are not around...... They left for the hospital for Kiara's check up. "

Lavanya's revelation and the look on their faces made her realise she was totally at a disadvantage because they all hate and Khushi was capable of killing her and they will cover it up.

She glared at Khushi and was about to walk away when Khushi's words stopped her.

"Tonight Mr Roy the family lawyer will be coming around to see all of us...... And you better me here. "

They all went to the kitchen leaving a curious Sheetal behind as she wondered what the meeting was for.

City Hospital.

Nani and Mami sat down in the cafeteria with Shyam, Pihu and Soha present.

Shyam and Pihu were are a different table with Kiara with the other three sat a little bit farther from them as they watched Shyam and Pihu playing with Kiara.

They all smiled seeing them playing and Pihu gushing over her baby sister.

"We are sorry for being responsible for your pain. " Nani apologosed to Soha out of the blue and she turned to them shaking her head and was about to retort but Nani stopped her. "Let me apologize to you because I know you are about to say we are not responsible but the truth is we are. " Mami nodded in agreement. "We raised Anjali to be dependent on all of us....... We made her feel entitled and never said no to her because of her past and her disability, if we had been strict on her, then we would have done a background check even against her will and found out how much of an evil person she is........ My biggest regret in life is this and I would never forgive myself for helping shape her into the vindictive woman she is but I am happy she is serving twenty years in prison but I hate that the family wants to keep her going to jail hush hush...... I want the world to know the kind of demonic woman she is....... She deprived your daughter of a father by manipulating Shyam with money....... Tried to kill Khushi, the woman her brother loved....... She didn't even think about how miserable her brother who gave her fame,money and good life will feel as long as she got what she wanted and I have a big role to play in how she turned out......... I coddled her way too much out of fear of her ending up like my daughter that I created and enabled a monster who destroyed all of your lives...... Forgive me my dear. " Nani cried out and Soha stood up and hugged her and broke the hug and kneeled wiping her tears.

"You did what you thought was right....... Yes it made Anjali entitled but she had a choice to utilize her privilege for good but she chose wrong and that is not your fault....... We all have a choice in life and our surroundings may influence us but we always have a choice......... I had a choice of getting revenge against Anjali and Shyam by exposing them to the media but I chose to better myself and my daughter's life......... Anjali had choices to make others benefit from her privilege but chose to be selfish....... Don't ever blame yourself for the bad choices of Anjali okay. " Nani nodded and kissed her forehead.

"Mummy come and see, baby kiki is smiling. " Pihu squealed happily calling put for her mother who walked away from them and to her ex husband and daughter.

She made funny faces at Kiara who smiled back and cooed at them making the trip laugh as Nani and Mami looked on smiling happily.

"Don't they look like a complete family. " Mami gushed and Nani nodded with a huge smile on her face.

"I don't know if Soha will ever give Shyam a chance but Kiara belongs to her father and I will give her back to him after he settles down....... He just got a job and we will take care of Kiara for a few months to give him time to settle down..... But until then, Kiara will be stay with us and they will visit her to bond and it looks like it won't be as difficult as we thought. " Nani exclaimed happily smiling at Shyam who was playing with Kiara who has been smiling and cooing happily at her father and sister.

Evening.

Everyone sat in the hall as HP lead Mr Roy in and he greeted the whole family.

Arnav was itching to know what his wife was up to since she refused to tell him her plans for Sheetal.

A part of him was scared Aarav could be his son and he knew he could never love any child that wasn't his with Khushi and this made him feel bad for Aarav but promised to do anything to give Aarav his rights if he turned out to be his son but he will have nothing to do with Sheetal who raped him because he never thought of it as rape until Khushi said so.

"Miss Kapoor please read the contract and sign them....,.. But let it be known that the content of the contract will only be valid if Aarav ends up being ASR's son....... So please read it carefully and sign them. "Mr Roy instructed and Aarav looked annoyed.

" I am ASR's son. " Aarav retorted in angry and arrogant tone whilst glaring at Mr Roy who smiled at him.

"We don't know that yet but we want to make sure everything is settled before the test results comes out tomorrow. " Mr Roy said and Aarav turned to Sheetal asked what the contract was about but she ignored him and signed them giving it back to MR Roy.

"The contract states that if you are ASR'S son, you will receive a sizeable amount of allowance of one crore a month and so will you mother receive the same amount....... ASR will be the one to decide when your relation with him will be known in public....... You and your mother must not reveal it to anyone or else you both lose the allowances and ASR will have no obligation with you........ A house of your choice will be bought in your name with your mother as your guardian and all utilities will be paid for by ASR......... You will stay in that house with your mother and you will also attend the best schools all paid by ASR and unlimited access to boutiques,malls and hotels owned by ASR. "

Aarav looked stunned by the contract content and turned angrily at Arnav.

"This is not what I and mum wanted........ We wanted to stay will my dad....... You will marry my mother and we will stay happily ever after....... This was all what we planned before coming into this family. " Aarav blurted out shocking everyone except Khushi and her gang because they knew Aarav will expose Sheetal in his frustration.

"Aarav shut up. " Sheetal yelled making Aarav flinch.

"Hello hi bye bye....... You planned all this? "Mami asked standing up fuming as Sheetal shook her head no.

" Welcome ladies. " Khushi's voice broke their reverie and they looked at her but she was looking behind Sheetal and everyone followed her gaze to find, Katha, Preeto and a middle aged woman in the age range of Mami standing with them.

Sheetal gulped seeing the woman and she knew she was done for.

Aarav run up to the middle aged woman and hugged her.
