ŚB 11.7.74

गृहेषु खगवत् सक्तस्तमारूढच्युतं विदु: ॥ ७४ ॥
yaḥ prāpya mānuṣaṁ lokaṁ
mukti-dvāram apāvṛtam
gṛheṣu khaga-vat saktas
tam ārūḍha-cyutaṁ viduḥ
Synonyms
— one who; — having achieved; — the human form of life; — of liberation; — the door; — wide open; — in family affairs; - — like the bird of this story*; — attached; — him; — having climbed high; — then falling; — they consider.
Translation
The doors of liberation are opened wide to one who has achieved human life. But if a human being simply devotes himself to family life like the foolish bird* in this story, then he is to be considered as one who has climbed to a high place only to trip and fall down.
[*refers to the story of the family-ensared pigeon, narrated in SB 11.7.53]
Purport
Thus end the purports of the humble servants of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda to the Eleventh Canto, Seventh Chapter, of the , entitled "Lord Kṛṣṇa Instructs Uddhava."
'
'Yah prapya manusham lokam mukti-dvaram apavritam griheshu khaga-vat saktas tam arudha-cyutam viduh, says Bhagavan Sri Krishna in his message to Udhava, as it is recorded in the Eleventh Skanda of the Srimad Bhagavata. Having attained this great blessedness of a higher reason with which the human being is endowed, by which we can have an inkling of the higher existence beyond the human level—having been endowed with this opportunity, one misses that opportunity. Such a person is a fallen one. Having ascended, he falls.''
