RIVER

Jinx laid on the floor with Rio next to her, the two were both very bored and had settled laying in a starfish position whilst staring at the roof. Finally, the apartment door opened, revealing River who was holding a large bag filled with her belonging's.

Jinx instantly shot up from her spot, without any warning she jumped onto River, River quickly catching her with one arm, she laughed and dropped the bag, wrapping both her arms around Jinx so she wouldn't fall.

Jinx didn't bother unwrapping her legs from around her, River realised this so continued to walk over to Rio and scruff up his hair, Rio chuckled and swatted her hand away, then fixing his hair while staring at Jinx in suspicion at the way she was clung to River.

"What did you get?" Rio asked as he looked at the bag, River turned around, Jinx still clinging onto her "open it" River said, Jinx finally unwrapped her legs from around River's waist, her arms still around Rivers neck with River's hands holding onto her waist. Jinx's legs dangling from there height difference, River laughed and gently place her down.

"So where are you gonna sleep?" Jinx put her hands on her hips, "well I have to buy mattresses" River said, "do have enough money?" Jinx asked her "i have enough" that was the truth, River was surprisingly very good with her money.

"Do you wanna come with me?" River asked jinx as she went into her knees and felt for the loose floor board she'd seen earlier, she lifted it up and placed the bag in it "yup!" Jinx answered as both her and Rio watched River.

River put back the floor board into its place before walking out the door, making sure to hold it open for them, after they'd walked out she locked the door behind them.

"Test it out kiddo" River gestured to the mattress Rio was staring at intensely, Rio quickly jumped onto the mattress, rolling around on it "i like the other one better" Rio told River, River raised a brow "are you serious?" River asked as she eyed it in disgust. It was still the undercity so the quality of the mattresses were horrible, they all had weird stains or fluff coming out of them or had a plethora of uncomfortable lumps.

Rio had chosen the mattress that had the whole package deal of stains, rips and lumps in it. Claiming that it was the most comfortable and he could fix it.

Rio nodded his head eagerly at her words, grinning widely at her. River debated letting him get the worst one but he looked so happy with his choice and insisted on that one so River caved. "For faen skyld, uansett" (for fucks sake, whatever) River shook her head and rolled her eyes.

"i'll take this one too I guess" River told the shop owner, she'd already picked her mattress, not taking nearly as long as Rio had just to decide on the first, and worst mattress in the entire store that he saw.

River reluctantly paid for the mattresses, River wished that she could shrink them and steal them but obviously she couldn't steal a whole mattress and get away with it. Although River barely had to pay much for the two mattresses seeming as she was very well known and most were terrified of her, being a murder for your job definitely had its perks.

Just as River began to look for Powder again after she'd wondered off, she walked through the doors with a proud smirk on her lips with three large men behind her, River instantly noticed how one of them was biting his lip and looking her up and down.

River looked at Jinx in question "found us some help!" she said and patted the one who was looking her up and down on the chest, "uh-huh" River muttered "get to work then" River gestured to the double bed mattress. She watched as two of the men still struggled to pick the larger mattress up.

You'd think them being so tall and strong looking, picking up a mattress would be nothing for them, yet... here they were. Almost dropping it.

The other guy went to pick up Rio's single bed mattress, River watched as he also struggled to pick it up, she tscoffed and walked over to him, aggressively shoving him away from the mattress, picking it up properly with no problem at all. The guys face flushed in embarrassment "alle menn er jævla ubrukelige, må alltid gjøre alt selv, ubrukelige pikksugere" (all men are fucking useless, always have to do everything myself. useless dick suckers) River muttered in annoyance as she walked out of the store with them all following after her.

Jinx who walked next to River looked at her in confusion but quickly noticed the angry look on her face. "how'd you even get them willingly help?" River asked with a noticeable attitude in her voice which caught Jinx off guard "used my charms!" when Jinx said charms, what she really meant was threaten them, but she wanted to tease River.

River glanced at Jinx and scrunched her face up "what? you jealous?" Jinx grinned teasingly "do i need to be?" River shot back as she looked at her. Jinx wasn't sure why, but River's answer made her heart speed up and her stomach flutter.

"nah, honestly all i did was threaten to shoot them" Jinx shrugged, River nodded her head and turned back forward, not saying anything or even sparing Jinx a glance for the rest of the walk. Jinx was confused by that, she's expected River to be in a better mood after she had explained but she wasn't.

"you ok?" Jinx quietly asked, River glanced at her and ignored her. Jinx's face scrunched up in confusion so she went to walk next to the others with her arms crossed and a pout on her lips.

Jinx happened to walk next to the same guy who couldn't keep his eyes off of her. "I'm Toby" he introduced himself with an arrogant smile, Jinx didn't spare him a glance, too busy staring at River's back. When Jinx didn't pay him any attention he grabbed her arms and made her stop.

Jinx looked at him in disgust and aggressively yanked her arms away from him. Toby chuckled and shook his head, quickly walking after her, this time he grabbed her waist to stop her from walking and turned her so she was facing him.

"You're a feisty one eh?" his hand slipped onto her ass, River instantly snapped her head over to there direction, except when she saw them, his hand was on her ass and she was doing nothing to move it, even smiling a bit. Like she was having fun with it. River instantly turned back around and started walking even faster than before.

A tight knot of jealousy growing in her chest yet a sorrowful pit of helplessness in her stomach. Knowing that she didn't have the right to be jealous. But she was, she was so angry and jealous it made her feel sick, so angry that she wasn't allowed to feel that way.

Right after River turned around, Jinx grabbed his arm and twisted it into a position that could break it. Then kicking the front of his knee so hard that she could hear a crack. She walked away from him, she was disgusted. Disgusted that he touched her and thought he could get away with it.

Disgusted because she knew if she couldn't fight he wouldn't have let go of her, he wouldn't have listened to the word no.

Jinx jogged up to River and put her hand on her shoulder, River instantly shrugged her hand off and refused to look at her. Jinx was confused to why she was icing her out, she didn't know what she had done.

They all finally were at the apartment, they put the bigger mattress against the wall next to the door, River doing the same on the other side. "Leave." River instantly said, their eyes widened and they quickly scrambled away, River rolled her eyes and shook her head as she unlocked the door.

She picked up the single bed mattress against and went to put it in Rio's new room, then pushing the other one into her room. River then pulled out the bag from underneath the floor board, she silently walked to her room, Jinx followed after her.

River could feel Jinx's intense stare as she put an old sheet onto her bed and a large fluffy blanket over the top, which she'd stolen.

River went to walk out the door, past Jinx. But before she could Jinx quickly put her palms on River's stomach and pushed her to walk backwards, River's eyes widened slightly, looking down at Powder in confusion. Rivers back hit the wall behind her and Jinx continued to stare up at her with outed lips and squinted eyes.

"Yes?" River cocked her head at Jinx "what's wrong with you" Jinx asked, her hands pushing into River waist slightly "don't know what you mean" River shrugged, her hands lifting to clasp Jinx's waist but instead she hesitated and dropped her hands.

"Yes you do. You've been off since we bought those mattresses and i don't understand why" Jinx's tone was intense and desperate, River stared at her silently "i'm just having a bad day" River muttered before gently grabbing her waist to move her out of the way, despite how jealous it annoyed she was, she wasn't going to be rough with her.

River walked out of the room, and leant on the door frame of Rio's room "let's get you some sheets huh?" River said, Rio nodded his head and jumped up, walking over to her "is Powder coming?" Rio asked innocently, River looked back at Powder who had been staring at the pair.

"Uhh, i've got some stuff i needa do. Sorry kid" Jinx patted him on the head, Jinx and River looked at each other, "can i talk to you later" River asked quietly while tapping Powder softly on the hip with the back of her hand. Powder contemplated for a moment "yeah... see you later" Jinx said before walking away. River sighed and looked at Rio who was looking at her weirdly.

"trouble in paradise?" "shut up Rio" "alrighty"

I literally love Rio sm, i'm not sure yet what i want his outcome to be...
And i have a lot planned for River, like you actually have no idea, but i'm not going to get into it yet, there will be heaps more chapters before i go into it
