River was left with a raging hatred for topside when they killed her entire family. River had snuck out to be with her friends, just to come home and see her family held at gun point, getting chosen to be the ones who had to suffer the consequences of another persons cruel actions.

They killed them with no remorse, leaving River the only survivor. River was left helpless and scared about what was to come... how to survive now that she had no one left to look out for her. That was until, a large, strong man saw her state and understood that he needed to take her in and protect her at all costs.

Vander welcomed River into his dysfunctional little family that was filled with kids who were left in similar circumstances, just as River was. River was unsure of what to make of everything that had happened. If she could trust these people. If she could have trust in herself.

Powder was the first to properly welcome River, Powder was like a warm embrace of comfort and love. Something River was always deprived of. Powder and River quickly clicked and became best friends. They understood each other like no other person could, their bond was something that could never be replaced.

After the accident, Jinx was created. She spent everyday grieving what could have been. She never forgave herself for being the reason everyone she loved, was gone.

That was until Jinx over heard a conversation between a girl and Silco. When the girl left she was so similar to River, Jinx wanted more than anything to believe it was her. But Jinx convince her she wasn't. But that all changed one fateful evening.
