As a Hale Y/N never really felt loved by anyone, her family died when she was very young and Laura, her big sister, thought it would be better to leave her in a foster family, only that it ended in a disaster and she left home in a young age until her brother Derek found her again.

Let's say she wasn't ready to feel loved by anyone. Y/N had a feeling that the McCall boy fell for her, but she was too scared to tell him that she felt the same, so the young Hale did the most logical thing that felt like a good idea to her at the time.

Everyone felt very tense after a fight that went south, Y/N was so done by the fact she had to spend more time with people that made her feel some kind of emotions as if she had to protect them, what normally wasn't a thought that crossed her mind because of the lifestyle she had to live with before her brother found her again.

It made her angry and confused, Y/N didn't wanted to feel that, she hated it, only because she had no idea how they felt about her. As if it wasn't enough, Scott tried to calm her down, what made it only worse, seeing that Allison was trying to get his wounds cleaned out.

“I hate you! I’m sorry it took me so damn long to realize that.”, Y/N spat out and pushed him away to get away from them.

Y/N's eyes fluttered open in a slow paced, she noticed she wasn't at home instead in another teenagers room. She gave the room a better look from her position, what was very hard since the pain from her upper body was returning.

Confused, Y/N looked down to see all of her wounds being already treated by someone.

“Were you ever going to tell me?”, Scott suddenly walked in concerned and unhappy, keeping his distance, knowing full well Y/N didn't like it when someone was too close.

"That I have no idea why I still am in this god forsaken town?", Y/N tried to joke around and moved a little bit to make herself ready to stand up and put on her jacket.

"Why didn't you tell me you felt the same?", Scott ignored her attempt of joking, it was a serious matter to him.

The second Scott saw Y/N gorgeous face, he fell for her hard and when Derek told him what she went through he wanted to give her all the love and affection that she deserved.

Y/N felt her heart slide down into her pants, did he hear what Kali said to her before the fight?

“i can’t have this argument with you right now, I have to go” 

“but-” 

“no. I'm leaving”, she said and ran off without a second glance, hearing Scott's voice in the distance screaming after her.

“It’s too cold! Come back!”

But she was long gone, without a destination, Y/N ran through the woods disappearing into the sea of dark trees. A thousand of thoughts ran through her head, her wounds and pain long forgotten.

Suddenly someone threw themselves with full force on her, making them both tumble down until a tree stopped them.

Y/N screamed out loud in pain and looked up, just to see Scott's shocked face.

"I'm- I'm so sorry, Y/N. I didn't thought this through, I'm really-", Scott was trying to apologize to the Hale that was in pain as he helped her up, but was stopped by her when she surprisingly kissed him.

It shocked him at first, but he wanted to let the moment last just a little bit longer and embraced it, the kiss was soft and gentle, but it didn't take long until it started to become a heated make out session in the middle of the woods.

Both of the teenagers needed to break the kiss for breathing. Out of breath, Scott laid his forehead on hers gently and carefully and slipped his arms around her.

“Please talk to me about it.”, he whispered, hoping he won't scare her off like before.

But continued to talk in frustration, when she didn't said a word,“We’re not just friends and you fucking know it.” 

Y/N sighed out loud and leaned her head against the tree behind her.

“of course I love you, how couldn't I? but i hate myself for it.”, she started to talk, but continued, before she could make him feel bad about what she said.

"I'm scared, I never loved someone and I don't wanna get hurt, I'm already broken", Y/N finally opened up to him.

It took them a while until they were on the same page, but they still did it. With Scott on her side, Y/N knew she will overcome everything she feared.
