Arnav was seething in resentment seeing Subhadra Malik who looked down not being able to meet his eyes.

He wanted to yell at her and kick her out but Anaisha who was playing with his beard alerted him to her presence in his arms he looked at her and she threw an innocent smile at him and he smiled back and kissed her chubby cheeks.

Anaisha giggled because of the ticklish sensation his beard had on her soft skin.

"That's my great-granddaughter...... She is so beautiful and I wanted to hug and protect her like I never did with Arnav. " Dadi thought looking at her with so much love that it freaked out Arnav and he glared at her.

Khushi moved closer and rubbed his back to calm him down.

"Welcome Subhadraji. " Manohar cheered politely and she smiled at him and Mami which astounded the whole family, especially Arnav.

Mami called out to HP and made him take Sumi's luggage to the guest room.

"What's going on here? " Nani asked his son who ignored her as he lead Subhadra to the couch and Nani turned to Subhadra. "Subhi?...... What are you doing here? "

Nani yelled and Anaisha wiggled in Arnav's arms, an indication she wanted to be put down and Arnav did and she rushed up to Subhadra and opened her arms shielding Sumi with a glare on her face directed at Nani who together with the others except Manohar and Mami was taken aback.

"You naughty Nani..... Don't yell at my great-grandma. " Anaisha yelled with her little nose flaring in anger astonishing everyone except Manohar, Mami and Subhadra who had smiles of pride on their faces.

Arnav strode closer to Anaisha and crouched at her level.

"Baby doll..... Do you know who she is? " Arnav inquired and she nodded with a huge smile on her face.

"Grandma and grandpa told me she is your grandma and that makes her my grandma too...... I spoke to her on the phone yesterday and she said you were naughty just like me. " Anaisha said and giggled but it turned to sadness within a few seconds. "But she said she hurt you when you were little so I asked her to come here and apologize and you forgive her....... You will forgive grandma right? "
The anticipation on her face for her father to forgive his grandma broke his heart because he knew for the first time, he had to fake it to make his daughter happy.

Arnav smiled and nodded and Anaisha shrieked and clapped.

She held his hand and moved towards Subhadra Malik and made her stand up.

"Now hug each other. "

Arnav moved closer to Subhadra and hesitantly hugged her.

A few seconds later he tightened the hug relishing her tenderness, the tenderness he had always enjoyed when he was a child.

The tenderness that proved her love for him once a long time ago until her betrayal.

Subhadra smiled with tears cascading down her cheeks feeling his grandson hugging him genuinely for the first time in over a decade and she loved it and wished she could turn back time and undo what she did but she couldn't but was happy she sacrificed her life to make Arnav happy even if it meant him hating her.

Flashes of the past run like a sports car in his psyche and Arnav immediately pulled back much to the dissatisfaction of Sumi.

Anaisha giggled seeing his face but she mistook her father's despair as an embarrassment.

Khushi moved closer to Anaisha and bend down to her level.

"Anu baby..... Why don't you go with Hari Prakashji and finish your food..... Papa and grandma need to speak abo..... "

"About adult stuff. " Anaisha continued cutting Khushi off and she nodded and moved closer to Sumi and kissed her cheek and waved at her as HP took her away.

Immediately they disappeared, Arnav turned to Sumi raging like an angry bull.

He turned to his uncle and aunt.

"What is she doing here? And how come Anaisha ended up speaking to her. " Arnav whispered in anger not wanting to shout which will draw Anaisha's attention.

"We have been in contact with your grandmother for the past seventeen years. " Manohar confessed shocking all of them except Mami. "I know you hate her for abandoning you after your parent's death but she didn't have any choice because she was helpless. " Manohar continued and Arnav's anger turned to confusion.

"Uncle what do you mean?..... She never stopped his son when he kicked Arnav and Anjali out just a few hours after their parent's last rites. " Khushi exclaimed in anger because Manohar defending Sumi.

"She wanted to but Anant threatened to kill Arnav and Anjali." Manohar defended again.

"Who do you think called us to tell us about what had happened?....... Who do you think paid for your schooling and activities?...... It was all her...... We were going through financial problems and she helped us...... There are more things about what happened that you didn't know and she made us promise never to let you know that she was behind your education until you graduated from Harvard. " Mami revealed shocking all of them

"I know I never liked your mother but I never stop loving Anjali and especially you just because we didn't see eye to eye" Sumi spoke. "I never knew Arvind was having an affair but he was and the aftermath was what happened..... I don't know how Anant got all the properties in his name and when I found out, I threatened to have him arrested but he knocked me out and locked me up in the basement...... I managed to escape two days later to find out you and Anjali were missing...... I looked for you everywhere until I found you and Anjali at the temple the next day..... I was about to go to you but Anant men caught me and he threatened to hurt you because he knew how much I loved you....... I called his bluff and he proved it when he took a gun from one of these men and shot you at the temple and fortunately enough the bullet managed to miss you because you had kneeled to help Anjali at the right time. "

Arnav was shocked remembering the shooting that happened at the temple and wherein the commotion, he fell and got hurt on his eyebrow.

"I feared for your life after that and knew he wasn't bluffing....... Somehow I managed to convince him to let me call Manohar and I told him where you were and what happened....... After that he locked me up at a hermitage and fortunately for me, I hid something expensive jewellery that was heirlooms and I sold them and gave the money to Manohar and Mami who knew everything but we couldn't do anything since Anant controlled the authorities...... They pressured me to meet you but I was scared Anant might find out and your hatred for your father will be unleashed on me which made me scared. " Sumi revealed and everyone felt sorry for her.

"We have been giving her updates about you and have been speaking to her all these years....... Yesterday, Anisha happened to catch us and we introduced Subhadra Malik to her and she was the one who wanted her to come to you. " Manohar confessed.

Arnav looked at his beloved grandmother and felt sick to his stomach for thinking the worst of her and she has been suffering alone and had also contributed to his life.

Arnav turned and hugged Subhadra who reciprocated as tears streamed down their faces.

The sound of clapping was heard and everything turned to find a smiling Anaisha clapping.

"Yay...... Daddy and grandma made up. "

Arnav smiled and Anaisha walked up to them and hugged her father's leg.

Anjali was just sitting down confused at the turn of events.

She thought Subhadra's presence will be in her favour but it went the other way and just like in the past, Arnav will always have the support of Subhadra and she cursed her fate for it.

Now the golden child had another supporter, Anjali thought

"Anju.? " Subhadra called out breaking her reverie.

She glared at her, stood up and limped away with Shyam behind her.

Subhadra sighed and turned to Arnav who smiled at her.

Nani walked away in anger knowing Subhadra was here to take her place and what Anaisha did prove it because Anaisha had never acknowledged her but did with Subhadra.

Mami rolled her eyes at their drama but looked happy seeing Arnav introducing Khushi and Maithili to Subhadra.

"It went well. " Manohar whispered and Mami nodded with a smile on her face and laid her head on his shoulder.

One Week Later.

The Raizada family couldn't be happier except for the ungrateful ones.

Subhadra has been welcomed fully into the family much to the disapproval of Nani.

Payal and Buaji including Nani were pissed seeing everyone pampering Subhadra and Aman.

Garima has left the house with the excuse that she was visiting a sick friend

Shyam who knew he wasn't getting anything from Arnav anymore made other plans to get money.

Years of shopping for expensive pieces of jewellery by Anjali was now his way out.

He has been sneaking the pieces of jewellery out and making forgeries to replace them with original ones for the past week.

Akash even after talks with his parent had refused to accept Aman and Mami and Manohar had given up on him.

The family sat down one evening in the lounge after dinner when the doorbell rang.

Arnav and Aman looked at each other with smug smirks on their faces which didn't go unnoticed by Khushi, Maithili, Dadi and Mami.

HP walked into the lounge with a couple of policemen and women behind him.

Shyam gulped in fear thinking they were here for him because he owns huge debts all over the country.

Everyone stood up in confusion except Arnav and Aman who knew why they were there.

"Ladies and gentlemen, how may we help you this evening? " Manohar asked thanking God Anaisha had already slept.

"We are here to arrest Mrs Anjali Jha in connection to the disappearance of Mr Rudra Ranawat. "

Everyone except you know who was alarmed hearing this.

Payal and the Gupta women trembled in fear hearing the name and so did Anjali.

"Excuse me..... Who is that and how dare you accuse my wife like that?..... Ranisaheba will never hurt anyone. " Shyam defended.

"He is the ex-husband of Khushi and my ex-brother in law. " Maithili replied looking at Shyam and she then turned to a sweating Anjali. "How do you know Rudra and why are you being accused of his disappearance? " Maithili queried a sweating Anjali.

"I..... I... I don't know what you are talking about. " Anjali yelled at Maithili but she failed to hide her nervousness.

"Stop with your lies Anju..... The police won't dare come to the house of ASR for just a mere suspicion...... What did you do? " Sumi exclaimed in anger and Nani stood up and yelled at Sumi.

"Shut up and don't you dare accuse my Anju....... If she says she doesn't know then she doesn't know. "

"Unfortunately she did and we have evidence and eyewitnesses to prove it. " One of the policemen said and Anjali looked at him shocked.

He signalled the women to cuff Anjali and they did as Anjali resisted but they were too powerful for her.

"ASR, I am sorry to disturb you but we are just doing our job...... Please feel free to get her a lawyer but we have to take her to the police station. "

Arnav sighed and nodded shocking all except Aman.

Nani asked Arnav to call Mr Roy to defend Anjali but he refused.

A crying Anjali was dragged out with Shyam and Nani following them.

Mami turned to Arnav and Aman and glared at them seeing the smirk on their faces and she knew they were behind this and was angry for being excluded from whatever they had planned.

"Arnav and Aman are behind this?...... But why are Payal and Buaji looking so nervous?..... Do they have something to do with this and what are Mami, Arnav and Aman hiding from us? "  Maithili thought looking at the exchange between the three.
