Trucked Out

"I can't believe Adam's not back from his driving test yet. What's taking him so long?"
Freya sat cross cross apple sauce on the couch in between Bree and Chase, playing on her psp. Chase and her were playing a game together as they waited for Adam to return from his drivers test.
"Two words: Adam. Test." Bree remarked, looking up from her magazine.
Chase paused the game, "Man, if he passes, it's good news for us and bad news for everyone on the road." He chuckled. "Or the sidewalk."
Freya chuckled and returned back to her game.
"I need him to drive me to that party on Saturday," Leo mentioned, walking toward the three from the back window.
"What party?" Freya asked, lowering her psp.
Leo chuckled and then stopped. "The one you weren't invited too."
"I'm new. So I don't care," Freya shrugged, putting her psp on the couch and getting her phone out.
"You got invited to Caroline Davis' party and I didn't?" Bree asked sitting up in disbelief.
"Neither did I," Chase added.
"No surprise there," Freya scoffed and got a frown from Chase.
"But why were you invited?" Bree asked Leo, who sat on the arm of the couch.
"Oh, Bree, I'm climbing the social ladder. There are now three or four ladies who make eye contact with me in the hallway," Leo smugly smiled.
"Juliet does not count," Freya told him and Leo cleared his throat.
"Fine, it's two! But I'm going to the party!" Leo corrected himself. "And getting Juliet to make eye contact with me is a huge win."
"Juliet hates most people. If she looks at you, she's wanting to kill." Freya informed and Leo's eyes grew.
"Your sister is scary," Bree said with furrowed eyebrows.
Freya chuckled, "to you all."
The door opened and the four stood up, hoping it was Adam and it was only Tasha. The four groaned and sat back down.
"It's just you," Leo deadpanned.
"Nice to see you, too," Tasha sarcastically greeted.
"Making me stand for no reason," Freya grumbled.
"Sorry, mom. How's it going?" Leo grinned.
"Great. I've had the best day. It all started when-"
Davenport walked in and Leo shoved his mom to the side
"Save it for later, woman! Adam's here!" Leo exclaimed and Bree, Chase, and Freya shot to their feet, rushing over to Davenport.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you Mission Creek's newest fully licensed driver!"
Davenport gave a big gesture outside, waiting for Adam to appear. Adam didn't show up and it left the others confused.
Davenport looked outside. "Adam. That's you."
"Oh, right!" Adam ran into the house. "Woo-hoo! I passed!"
Everyone cheered for Adam.
"I'm really impressed! He got a 96 on the test!" Davenport smiled.
"I didn't even know scores went up that high!" Adam remarked. "Oh. And get this, Mr. Davenport said if I passed, he'd buy me a car."
Freya's mouth fell open in shock. "No way!"
"Well, in my defense." Davenport mumbled the next part. "I never thought he would pass."
"None of us did," Bree admitted.
"Preachin' to the choir, people!" Adam grinned.
"Donald, are you sure he's ready for a car?" Tasha questioned her husband. "Remember what happened when you bought him a bike?"
"What? Did it start on fire?" Freya joked.
"Yes," everyone said and Freya's smile dropped.
"Oh..."
"Um, to be fair, honey, Adam is a lot more responsible now. He worked very hard to get his driver's license," Davenport reasoned. "And I think he should be rewarded."
Adam sat on the red chair imitating driving a car and then swerved to the side, making an explosion sound.
"What's your definition of responsible?" Freya asked Davenport, "because ours is very different."
"I don't know..." Tasha frowned.
"Don't worry, I promise I will get Adam the safest car available," Davenport assured everyone.
"The safest car is the one he isn't driving," Chase mentioned and Freya chuckled.
"Not true." Adam protested, standing up. "I've caused many wrecks as a pedestrian."
"Me too, dude!" Freya grinned and fist bumped him.
"Okay, let's go," Davenport gestured Tasha to leave and they walked away.
"I don't care what car it is as long as you give me a ride to Caroline Davis' party," Leo informed Adam. "I don't if you heard..." Leo looked at Bree. "I was invited."
"Enough!" Bree exclaimed with irritation.

Freya sat at lunch with Bree, Chase, and Leo. The two girls that make eye contact with Leo walked back and he smiled at them.
"Take care, ladies. See you at the party," Leo waved and turned back to the three. "Oh, did I tell you I was invited to the par-
"Yes!" The three exclaimed, annoyed.
Juliet walked in and Freya and her shared a smile and a wave. Leo attempted to wave at her, but Juliet's smile dropped and she glared at him.
Leo's smile faded with fear and turned to Freya. "Why does she hate me?"
"Juliet hates everyone," Freya shrugged. "Except for me."
"Tell me your secrets!" Leo pleaded.
"Become her little sister," Freya smiled. "Oh, you're half way there."
Bree and Chase chuckled and Leo frowned.
Tasha walked in. "There's my little boy!"
Freya's lips formed as smirk as Leo eyes filled with fear.
"Mind if I join you?" She asked and Freya gave her a bright smile.
"Not at all!" Freya patted the chair next to her and Tasha sat down.
Leo glanced back and forth between his mom and Bree and Chase, asking for help.
"What are you doing here, Tasha?" Bree asked Tasha.
"I'm here because I decided to run for President of the PTA!" Tasha informed and Freya gasped.
"How wonderful!"
"Oh, that's nice," Leo grinned. "What school?! Cause I know it's not this one."
"With Adam getting his license and you going to parties, it made me realize that you're all growing up," Tasha explained. "So, I'm going to get a lot more involved in your school lives."
Freya put a hand on Tasha's shoulder, "what a great mom you are. Leo is lucky."
Leo gave Freya a death glare.
"Well, Leo could definitely use a chaperone for the party this weekend," Chase mentioned and Bree nodded.
"No! No! No! No!" Leo protested, shooting out of his chair. "No, why are you doing this?! What is missing in your life?! I can pay for art classes."
Chase and Freya did a subtle fist bump.
"Oh, Leo, this will be fun!" Tasha smiled, standing and pushing Leo to the side. "If I get elected, I will be here all the time. We'll eat lunch, gossip, I can talk you up to the gals."
"The gals?" Leo asked and leaned back, looking at Bree, Chase, and Freya. "Get her out. Get her out."
"No," Freya chuckled.
"Don't worry. Once the ladies see how mom rocks it. Ooo! You are going to be so popular!" Tasha told Leo.
"You really are," Bree, Chase, and Freya agreed.
Tasha approached the girls at their table. "Hi! I'm Leo's mom! I'm running for President of the PTA! Which is "pretty, totally, awesome!" Right?"
Leo shook his head. "No!"
"Be sure to tell your parents to vote for me: Tasha Davenport. T-Dav to you kids," Tasha added. "Holler!"
The two girls cringed.
"Moms... we all got 'em', am I right?" Leo nervously laughed as he hid under his lunch table
"Best day ever," Freya smiled and she felt Leo pinch her leg. "Ow!"
——
Later, Chase, Bree, and Freya were chatting by their lockers when Tasha ran out excitedly.
"Guys, get this! I am the only candidate for PTA President! I'm gonna win. Car washes, bake sales, fundraisers. I'll be here all the time!"
"That's great news!" Freya smiled.
"Leo is gonna be so happy!" Chase added.
Tasha cheered excitedly as she skipped away and Bree, Chase, and Freya turned around.
"Ahem!" Chase cleared his throat and Leo shut his locker, looking at them in his disguise. He had a wig on with a braid and different clothes on.
"We have to stop her," Leo frowned.
"Uh, we?" Freya chuckled, "I'm loving this."
"Yeah, what's in it for us?" Chase asked Leo.
"Oh, come on! I'm desperate!" Leo exclaimed, taking off his wig.
"Well, you could get us into your cool party," Bree negotiated.
"Oh Bree, that cute," Leo grinned. "But I am who I am and you are who-"
The three began to walk away and Leo followed. "Alright, I'll get you in the party!"
The three tuned back around to him.
"Just tell me how we are getting of my mom," Leo continued.
"Easy. Just have to find someone to run against her and win," Chase explained.
"Your mom?" Leo asked Freya, who frowned.
"Don't drag my mom into this, Dooley!" Freya threatened him.
"We need someone who's power hungry and ruthless," Bree added "and enjoys crushing people's dreams."
"Go home, maggots! It's 3:30 and I wanna chain up!" Principal Perry walked out with a chain on her shoulder and walked to the front entrance doors.
The four shared smug looks, having an idea.

~The Next Day~
Freya was sitting on the circle bench in the hallway with Bree and Leo. Bree and Freya were chatting about something and Leo was hiding his face in a book with another disguise on his face.
Chase ran out of Perry's office. "Guys! Guess what!"
"What?!"
Freya and Bree turned to Leo, who had glasses on and a ridiculous mustache.
"Leo!" Chase said.
"No," Leo denied and used a fake accent. "I'm the new chemistry teacher, Mr. Tate."
Freya sat up and ripped the mustache off his face and Leo let out a high-pitched scream. Chase and Bree chuckled as Freya smirked.
"So, get this, I check the PTA election rules and you don't have to be a parent to run for President. Principal Perry is totally eligible," Chase informed them and the three stood up with smiles.
"Well, that's great! And you know ow that if she runs, she's gonna cheat and make sure she wins," Bree mentioned. "You can always count on that woman to do the wrong thing."
"But how we convince her to run?" Leo asked. "I mean the only things that motivate that woman are are revenge, rage, and kitty calendars."
"Sounds like my sister. Without the calendar part," Freya grinned.
"Well, then we just have to find a way to make her mad at Tasha and then trick her into doing it," Chase replied.
"How?" Freya asked.
"Maybe a little bionic vocal manipulation is in order." Bree grinned and turned to Leo, pinching his cheek. She imitated Tasha's voice. "There's my little Bug-A-Boo! Come give mommy some sugar!"
Leo removed his glasses to clean them. "Okay, that never stops being weird."
——
Later, Chase and Freya were getting Principal Perry as Leo and Bree were planning to distract Tasha. They stood outside the back doors of the cafeteria.
"Okay, Chase and Freya are getting Perry. You go handle your mom." Bree instructed Leo.
"Got it!" Leo walked into the cafeteria and over to his mom. "Mom! Hey, I was thinking about it and you were right. It is going to be so much fun have you here everyday."
Tasha squealed and giggled as she hugged her son. Bree took this chance to slid underneath a nearby table.
"I knew you would come around!"
"Hey, love me, don't break me!" Leo gentler pushed her away.
"So, to be an effective PTA President you need to be in touch with your student. Know what the like, listen to their music," Leo suggested, pulling out a music player and headphones.
"Don't worry, Leo," Tasha smiled. "I'm picking up what you're putting down."
Leo awkwardly chuckled. "You're trying too hard."
They sat down at a table and Chase and Freya walked in with Perry.
"This better be important, Shrub Head and Thumbelina!"
Leo quickly placed the headphones on his mom and played music. "Quick! Put these on!"
"Ooh! These jams are pumped up!" Tasha grinned, bouncing to the beat.
"We just thought that maybe you'd like to hear what our future PTA President is saying behind your back," Freya told Perry and she scoffed.
Bree activated her vocal manipulation to sound like Tasha, who had her back to Perry.
"I am shocked at the lack of professionalism around this school and it all starts with that tyrant Principle Perry."
"Well, that's obvious," Perry shrugged.
"When I'm President I'm gonna make it my mission to get her fired!" Bree continued
Perry frowned. "Fired! She can't do that!"
"Technically, as PTA President, she can," Chase reasoned and got out the rule book. "It's right here in the rule book."
"What! Let me see that!" Perry grabbed the rule book and read it.
"Oh, one more thing. I hate cats," Bree added.
Perry gasped. "The claws are out now!"
"You know, maybe you should run against her," Freya suggested.
"Against her? I'm gonna run over her!" Perry marched over to Tasha. "Hey!"
Leo quickly stood up, removing the headphones and Tasha turned to Perry.
"Oh! Hi, Principal Perry!" Tasha greeted. "Did you hear? No one is running against me. I'm going to be PTA President!"
"Not in this lifetime, Mitzi Von Minivan," Perry threatened. "I'm in the race now and around here the only thing PTA stands for is 'Putting Tanya Away.'"
"My name is Tasha," Tasha corrected.
"Still starts with a 'T.'" Perry scolded and marched off. She knocked over one of Tasha's decorations on her way out and Tasha gasped.
——
That night it was the election. Chase, Bree, Leo, and Freya were standing on the side. There was a small audience and Tasha and Perry sat at the front.
Perry was first and she walked up to the podium. Perry cleared her throat, but ended up choking on her spit right into the microphone.
She gathered her self. "Vote for me! I know where you live!"
Perry smiled and walked off, earning a small applause from the audience.
"Good luck wit that, Mom Jeans," Perry told Tasha. "This election is mine."
Tasha walked up to the podium and smiled. "Before I lay out my platform, I spent some time going through the schools accounting records-"
Perry ran up, interrupting her speech.
"I withdraw!" Perry exclaimed and Leo went up to Perry in shock.
"What are you doing?" Leo asked her.
"Saving a fortune of legal fees," Perry remarked.
"Wait, hold on. According to the rules, it is past the deadline to withdraw!" Chase informed everyone and Freya nodded.
"He's right! So, we still need to hear final speeches!" Freya added.
"And then vote!" Bree chimed in.
"No speech! I vote Tasha!" Perry spoke into the microphone and began to chant Tasha's name. The audience began to clap to the chant as Perry lifted Tasha's hand. "Don't make me do all the work! Tasha! Tasha!"
"Well, that backfired," Freya frowned.
——
Tasha had given her speech to the crowd after Perry's chant.
"...And once I'm president, Mission Creek will run as smoothly as my own happy family."
Tasha gestured to Bree, Chase, and Leo, who were looking away in shame. Freya chuckled, giving Tasha thumbs up.
"Woo!"
The three glared at Freya with Leo shoving her hands down.
Before Tasha could continue, a giant monster truck crashed into the building. Everyone yelled as they ran away from the giant vehicle and the whole wall came crumbling down. Chase made sure to grab Freya and pull her to safety.
Davenport and Adam opened their doors and stood up from the vehicle. Adam turned to Davenport.
"Quick! Back up before she sees us!" Adam rushed Davenport and got back inside the vehicle.
"DONALD!" Tasha yelled.
"Vote for Tasha!" Davenport smiled and honked the horn. By this time, everyone had left except Chase, Bree, Leo, Freya, and Tasha.
Freya began to clap and laugh. "Amazing entrance!"
——
Adam and Davenport were now on the ground and everyone was looking at the damage that the truck caused to the school.
"Well, thanks to you I totally lost. Not one person voted for me," Tasha pouted.
"Yes!" Leo cheered with Bree and Chase celebrating silently.
Tasha frowned at this and Leo fixed his reaction.
"You will get 'em' next year, mom."
"Next year, I'll definitely vote for you!" Freya assured her. "Leo still needs his mother at school."
"Freya!" Leo scolded, grabbing her arm and pulled her out of the gym with Chase and Bree following.

Not a long chapter. Good start to the series. This chapter and the next one are pretty calm, until we got to Bionic Showdown which I'm excited for.
If you are expecting Chase and Freya fluff it will be very small or not at all. As I said, it's a slow burn thing.
