xxiii. three minus Bree

~Mission Creek High~

Freya sat in the hallway with Leo, Adam, and Chase just chatting when Bree approached them with a package.

"Hey, did you guys know we have a study abroad program?" Bree asked.

Adam frowned. "Why would I go to another country to do something I don't do here?"

"If I go to another country, I would do the opposite of study." Freya grinned.

Bree showed them the application. "Look, it says you get to spend a whole semester at a high school in Australia. And guess what? I applied."

Leo smiled. "Cool! Kelly Porter went last year. She got sucker punched by a kangaroo."

"The picture of her face is brutal." Freya chuckled and showed them the picture on her phone.

"Oh!" The all gasped in shock.

Adam chuckled. "Well, all right, I guess we're going to Australia."

The boys silently cheered and Freya grinned.

Bree shook her head. "Uh, no, no, no. No way. This is my thing. I mean, I can finally be on my own. I can study, travel, make new friends..."

"I'm your friend." Freya protested, standing up. "You can't leave me with these losers!"

"Hey!" Leo objected.

"It's true and you know it." Freya looked back at him and Leo sighed, folding his arms.

"You can apply to!" Bree offered and Freya shook her head.

"Have you seen the size of the spiders there?" Freya asked and scoffed, putting a hand on her shoulder. "Send me pictures. I'll support you from distance."

"I'll send you so many bestie-"

Chase stood up shrugging. "Mmm, I hate to be a wet blanket--"

"No, you don't." Freya rolled her eyes, sitting down."

"But Mr. Davenport is never gonna let you do this. You can't go on missions if you're halfway across the world." Chase reasoned.

"Well, sure I can. I mean, I haven't figured out all the details yet, but there's gotta be a way to make it work." Bree remarked.

Leo pointed to Adam and Chase. "Not unless these two can unlock a new ability to make up for you not being here."

"Ooh! Well, maybe I can unlock an ability where I disappear and reappear somewhere else. Let me try." Adam squatted and started to grunt loudly. He stopped. "Did it work?"

"You didn't do it long enough. Try it again, this time, more grunting." Chase suggested.

Adam closes his eyes and started grunting loudly again. Chase beckons Bree, Freya, and Leo and they walk around to the other side of Adam. Adam opens his eyes and they all start cheering for him.

Chase cheered. "You did it!"

"I knew you could do it!" Freya high fived Adam.

~The Next Day~

The next day Freya woke up with a weird tummy ache. It wasn't her period, it just past last week. It was just her tummy that was hurting, but otherwise she felt normal.

She went to the Davenport House, because Leo sent her a text asking her to come down to the lab. He was repurposing one of Davenport's inventions. It was a neurotransmitter to help diagnose medical symptoms. The software is based off Eddy's smart home system.

Freya wasn't to fond of Leo doing this. She remembers the attack orbs and how well that worked out before. Next thing you know, Eddy will take over someone.

Freya walked down to the lab, holding her belly and groaning. "Hi, I'm here. What you want?"

Leo turned to see a sick looking Freya. "Better than you. Wait, you sick?"

"My stomach is killing me. I think it's food poisoning." Freya groaned.

"Fantastic!" Leo beamed and Freya gave him a glared. "How would you like to try out my newest invention: The "Smart Body" system?"

Freya shook her head, walking away. "Im not some lab rat."

"No, you're a different kind of--" Eddy started.

"Shut up you stupid computer!" Freya snapped.

Leo grabbed Freya's arm. "Oh, come on, Rey. This will let you know if this is just a stomach bug or something more serious."

"Ever heard of a doctor?" Freya asked and Leo rolled his eyes. "Leo, I don't want some weird gadget floating around inside my body. You don't know anything about medical stuff. I'd rather trust some professional to tell me it's just food poisoning and than make me pay thousands of dollars."

"Or you can let me try it and you won't have to pay!" Leo smiled and Freya groaned as Leo put an arm around her. "Big D made the technology. It will only take a few hours to work. Trust me, it's totally safe."

"I don't know, Leo." Freya frowned.

Leo removed his arm and folded them over his chest. "Okay, I get it. You don't believe in me."

Freya chuckled and patted his arm. "You're right, I don't."

Leo gasped. "Freya!"

Freya sighed, putting out her hand. "Only because I'm broke and a little curious. Give me."

Leo handed her the pill and she took it, swallowing it.

"Oh, and by law, I'm required to inform you of the possible side effects. Headache, nausea, hair loss, random twitching..." Freya gasped at Leo, who picked up a stack of papers. "You know what, it'll just be faster if you read them." He hands her a huge stack of papers and walks away, leaving Freya there in shock.

"I'll throw up this pill and feed it to you!" Freya yelled.

——

Later, Freya was laying on the couch with a bucket next to her. Freya hasn't thrown up yet, but she feels like she might. And she really doesn't want to. Because vomit is one of her fears. She was cuddled under a blanket when Leo walked out with his laptop.

"Okay, the capsule had enough time to work through your body. Now I just need to activate the software and download the diagnosis." Leo explained, sitting next to Freya. He scooted further away when he saw the bucket.

"Seems like a lot of trouble. I say we just put her down." Eddy mentioned.

"I'll put you down!" Freya yelled at Eddy.

Leo typed on his laptop. "Okay, done." Eddy suddenly vanishes form his screen. "We're up and running." Leo's face turned into a worried one. "Wait, where's the diagnosis?"

Eddy's voice suddenly spoke from Freya's mouth. "What a surprise. You messed up again."

Freya/Eddy and Leo sit up straight, stunned.

"Eddy?" Leo asked.

"What's going on? Why do I have arms?!" Eddy asked and looked at Freya's arms. Then looks into reflective plate and screams. "What have you done to me?! I'm hideous!"

"Hey, Freya is beautiful!" Leo protested and then looked at his laptop. "Oh, no. Oh, no! When I copied your schematics, I must have accidentally transferred you from our mainframe to the pill."

Eddy grabbed Leo, shaking him. "What are you saying?!"

"Eddy..." Leo started and hesitantly continued. "You're trapped in Freya's body."

Eddy started to cry in agony. "Oh... No, no, no!" Eddy looks in reflective plate. "Ah, she even cries ugly!"

——

Later, Leo was in the kitchen trying to come up with solution, while Eddy was in the hallway.

"Eddy, I keep trying to come up with a solution, but nothing's working." Leo frantically typed on his laptop.

"I'm shocked." Eddy sarcastically replied.

"Look, we're just lucky Davenport's been in the lab all night and hasn't found out yet. We wouldn't want Cassandra to find out. Especially, Juliet. She would kill me. Literally!" Leo exclaimed, widening his eyes with horror. "What are you doing in there, anyway?"

"Just freshening up!" Eddy called and walked out wearing crazy clothes and bad hair and makeup. "Ta-da!"

Leo looks at Eddy and screams in shock. "Ahh!

"Doesn't she look great?" Eddy asked, smirking. "Being human is awesome! Not only can I mess with Freya, but I can also do this!" Eddy starts rubbing Leo's head with his fist. "Noogie, noogie, noogie, noogie, noogie, noogie, noogie!" Leo pushed Eddy off and he laughs, sitting on the counter.

"Freya already does that! Look, stop messing around! You need to act normal. Pretend you've Freya." Leo told Eddy.

"An insufferable nag? Got it!" Eddy laughed.

Adam walks in. "Hey, Leo."

"Hey!" Leo greeted and pushed Eddy away from Adam. "Hey, Adam, how are you?"

"Well, my word of the day calendar says "elaborate." So, I guess I'm elaborate." Adam shrugged.

Eddy opens the fridge and pulls out mayonnaise.

"Ooh!" Eddy gasped.

"Whoa! Freya!" Adam smiled and Eddy giggled. "You look great! I see why Chase likes you!"

Leo stopped Eddy. "Freya, you hate mayonnaise. It make you sick."

"It makes me vomit!" Eddy chugs from the bottle, getting it all over his face and clothes. "Ahh. Delicious!" Eddy stared to groan. "Uhhh..." He bends over the sink and throws up violently.

Adam frowned in confusion, concerned for his friend. "Leo, what's going on?"

"Okay, it's a long story, but I made a pill, Freya took it, and now Eddy's trapped inside her body." Leo explained.

Adam shrugged. "Eh, it happens."

"I need to run down to the lab and fix this. Just stay here and don't let him out of your sight." Leo instructed Adam before rushing to the lab.

Adam nodded. "Got it."

"Well, I'm out of here." Eddy turned to leave and Adam stopped him.

"Whoa, whoa, wait. Leo said I'm supposed to keep you here." Adam objected.

"No, he didn't." Eddy denied.

"Yes, he did." Adam said.

"No, he didn't."

"Yes, he did."

"You know what, he's right in the lab. Why don't you just run down there and ask him? I'll wait here." Eddy suggested.

"Don't mind if I do." Adam said and made his way to the lab elevator.

"Hey! Can I get you anything from the mall?" Eddy called.

"Nope, I'm good. Thanks for asking." Adam smiled, not catching on.

Eddy cackled as he ran out the door.

——

~The Lab~

Bree walked in the lab and saw Leo. "Leo, I just had the most awesome day. Now that I don't have bionics, I can do whatever I want, whenever I want."

Leo looked up from working on the neurotransmitter. "Kinda busy. Can I get a rain check on caring?"

"I just finally know what it feels like to be normal. This morning I was supposed to meet Caitlin. I was an hour late. She's not talking to me. It's awesome!" Bree chuckled happily.

Leo looked back up at her and Bree gave him a look. Leo pinched his fingers together. "It's a little bit early to cash in that rain check."

Adam walks into the lab. "Hey, Leo, did you tell me to keep Freya here or let her go out?"

Leo slowly looked up at Adam with wide eyes. "Keep her here!"

Adam cringed. "Ah!" He shrugged. "Could've gone either way."

Leo rushes out of the room to find Freya.

——

Leo was im the living room, pacing around the room on the phone. "Eddy, pick up, pick up!"

Eddy/Freya walks in the front door still in her crazy outfit and hair and makeup.

"What's up, peanut?" Eddy greeted with a snarky smile.

"I have been trying to find you for hours. Where have you been?" Leo asked sternly.

"Making enemies!" Eddy remarked. "Let's just say Freya's no longer welcome at the gas station, the grocery store, the dry cleaner, or zoo! Ha!"

Leo frowned. "The zoo?"

Eddy shrugged. "Apparently you're not supposed to kick a lion when they're sleeping. She's gonna be sore tomorrow!" Eddy cackles as he skipped up the stairs.

——

Leo was pushing Eddy/Freya inside the house after stopping him from trying to harass Cassandra and Juliet. Leo wouldn't hear the end of it if they found out.

"You better not call Cassandra!" Leo yelled as he was pushing Eddy up the stairs. "Also, Big D is back. Go upstairs and hide. If he sees you, he'll freak!"

Eddy waved Leo off. "Okay, okay. There's just one last thing I need to do." Eddy pulled out a razor with a giant smile. "Hello, reverse mohawk!"

Leo gasped, grabbing the razor and fighting Eddy. "No, no, no, no! Not her gorgeous hair!"

As they are fighting with the razor, Davenport walks in.

"Whew! You would not believe the day I've had." Davenport sees Eddy and the two separate when he walks in. "Yours looks like it was worse."

"Yep, she wins. She has to go home!" Leo hastily pushed Eddy to the door

"Freya, you said you were staying for dinner." Davenport reminded Freya, approaching her.

"Oh, like I'd ever eat with you freaks!" Eddy scoffed.

Davenport was taken back when he heard Eddy and looked at Leo with concern. "Was that Eddy's voice?"

"No." Leo shook his head.

Eddy laughed joyfully and bounced up and down. "You bet-cha!"

"Leo... what did you do?!" Davenport asked with irritation.

"I put Eddy into a pill and then gave it to Freya and now he took over her body but I also got a B in French so let's focus on that!" Leo quickly explained, changing the subject with bright smile.

Eddy laughed as Davenport leaned forward to him. "Freya, honey, are you in there?"

"Yes. And I'm only friends with Leo because of your money! Hahah!" Eddy cackled obnoxiously and Leo gasped at this.

"Eddy!" Leo and Davenport exclaimed.

Eddy laughed as she walked by them. "Oh, relax, Donny. Little blondie is fine. But not for long!" He turned to the floor. "Faceplant!"

"No!" Davenport yelled as Eddy jumps and falls flat on the floor, making the boys cringe at the impact.

"Wow, she's got some bounce!" Eddy called.

"How could you do this, Leo?" Davenport asked Leo.

"Are you really that surprised?" Leo reasoned.

Eddy popped up from behind the sofa. "I'm gonna go jump off the roof!"

"No, you don't!" Leo and Davenport ran after Eddy as he rushed up the stairs.

——

Davenport and Leo had managed to catch Eddy and were back in the living room. Leo was holding Eddy down while Davenport sets up a device called the nasal extractor.

"This is my nasal extractor." Davenport said.

"Why did you create a nasal extractor?" Leo asked as Eddy struggled against him.

"Why does Adam keep shoving things up his nose?" Davenport reasoned.

Leo shrugged. "Continue."

"Wait, this baby really packs a punch. I don't know if I can use it on her." Davenport protests with worry.

"I can!" Leo snatches the end of the device, holding Eddy down more.

Eddy started to cry out. "Wait, no, I'm not done yet! I haven't messed with her family yet!"

Leo puts the nasal extractor on Eddy and holds it down on his face. Davenport turns on the extractor and Leo struggled with hold Eddy down as he was bouncing up and down from the force of the machine. Eventually, the pill came out and the machine turned off.

Leo grabbed the capsule. "Yes, I got the capsule!"

"Freya stood up with shock and confusion when she noticed her outfit. She slowly turned to the boys, who were nervous on how she would react.

Davenport giggled nervously. "Freya..."

Freya took a deep breath, trying to keep calm. "What happened? Leo! What did you do to me?!" Leo jumped back at her angry outburst. She then grabbed the raw meat from her hood. "And why is there raw meat in my hood?!" She held it out with disgust.

Eddy appeared back on his screen back. "That's nothing. Wait until you see what's in backpack!"

Freya let out a yell and glared at Leo, which signaled Davenport to leave.

"Good luck!" Davenport called.

"Freya, listen-"

"You have five seconds to run!" Freya warned. "5,4,3,2,1!"

Leo started to sprint out the door and Freya ran after him.

——

The next day Freya was watching tv with Juliet when their mom walked in with a confused and angry face.

"Freya, honey, why did I get a phone call from the zoo asking if you lost your ID after you kicked a sleeping lion?!"

Freya sat up with a stunned and nervous expression.

"Uh... no reason!" She laughed awkwardly.

"Woah, you kicked a lion?" Juliet asked.

"It was Leo!" Freya exclaimed and Cassandra folded her arms, giving her a warning look. Juliet snickered, petting Cinnamon.

"You are in trouble..."
