Freya, Chase, and Leo were walking down the stairs of the school talking and laughing when Perry walked out with an outdated microphone.
"Morning, Germ Sacks! I know that you've all been complaining that the technology around here isn't quite--" Perry stopped when the microphone gave feedback. "Isn't quite--" Perry hits the microphone and high pitched feedback is heard and the students cover their ears. Freya put a hand on Chase's shoulder, knowing he is sensitive to loud sounds due to his bionic hearing. "State of the art." Perry chuckled "So, thanks to yours truly, we're getting cutting-edge equipment for the whole school to enjoy. Jojo! Betty! Let's go, ladies. Wheel is like it's hot."
Jojo and Betty wheeled in an object covered with a tarp.
"Behold! Mission Creek High's brand new media center!" Perry announced pulled off the tarp to reveal out an old-fashioned TV on a cart.
"Wow," Freya clapped in fake astonishment. "It's amazing."
"Yeah, I don't think you can call it technology if you have to change the channel with pliers." Leo mentioned and Freya chuckled
"Why do I smell formaldehyde?" Chase asked and Freya sniffed the air, making a face at the smell.
"Cause I found it on the curb outside the morgue." Perry answered and Freya's eyes grew. "I'm getting all my Christmas presents there, too. Aunt Dotty's gettin' sheets!"
"How is this thing new?" Freya asked, folding her arms.
"It's new to you, Short Stack." Perry grinned and Freya frowned at her.
Perry is 4'11 and Freya is 5'1. She's barely taller than Perry.
"What is it with her and short jokes?" Freya asked. "I'm taller than her."
"Only by like two inches," Chase scoffed and Leo laughed. Freya hit both their arms and they winced. "Hey, I'm just saying the truth."
"Maybe keep your mouth shut or else I'll shut it for you," Freya warned and Chase pressed his lips together, trying to suppress his laughter.
Chase is a good 5'8 and Leo is maybe 5'3. Freya has never been fond of her height, especially compared to her sister who is 5'7.
Perry had left to plug in the tv and walked back out. "Okay, let's fire up the media center."
"Good thing the fire alarm is right there," Freya snickered and Leo and Chase nodded.
The tv turned on, but it short circuited and it took out the power to the building.
"Okay, okay... minor setback. For the record, you all look much better in this light." Perry mentioned and Freya smiled.
"So do you," she said and Leo and Chase chuckled.

~The Lab~
Freya, Leo, and Chase were in the lab doing homework or attempting to with their outdated texbooks. Freya's history book wasn't even a book, she only had two pages and a note that said "The British Are Coming!"
"Leo, Freya read what's on page 47 of your history book." Chase said, reading his textbook.
"Chase, I don't have page 47. Nor do I barely have any pages." Freya replied, showing him and also her two page texbook. "I have page 13 and page 67."
"I don't have a page 47." Leo said and flipped through the pages he does have. "I have a 4, a 12, a 32, and what I hope is gum on 98."
"This book is so old. Listen to this." Chase told them and read the book. "Chapter 4, 'Horse-less carriages are taking over the streets of America.'"
"Other schools teach on laptops and tablets." Freya mentioned and showed them the written note on her textbook. "I have a note that warns me, "The British are coming!'"
"We need to do something to bring Mission Creek High to the 21st century." Leo suggested.
Davenport walks in. "Ooh, maybe I can help."
"No!" Chase, Leo, and Freya protested.
"What? I am a genius tech mogul! I could revolutionize your whole school." Davenport reasoned. "Why wouldn't you want me to help?"
"Because every time you try to help, it starts in a good place, but then your ego takes over and ruins everything." Leo explained.
""That is not true. Give me one example." Davenport said.
"Last week, you gave me a new backpack." Leo told him.
"You said you needed a backpack." Davenport shrugged.
"A backpack." Leo grinned and pulled out a backpack with Davenport's face on it. "Not this."
"All the guys in the office love theirs." Davenport folded his arms with a frown.
"Trust me, they don't." Freya shook her head.
"You don't get it. This is our school you're talking about." Chase mentioned.
"Yeah, whatever disaster you create there will affect us every day." Leo added.
"Well, not me. Only you too," Freya chuckled and Chase hit her arm. She stuck out her tongue at him.
"Guys, I promise I won't embarrass you. This is about your school, not about me." Davenport assured them putting his hands on their shoulders.
"Well, our school could really use the help..." Chase trailed off.
"Fine. But you keep that ego under control." Leo agreed.
Davenport scoffed. "Don't worry, my ego is officially checked."
Davenport's phone rings, playing a ringtone 'Davenport! Davenport! Somebody wants to call Davenport!'
The three teens gave him a look as Davenport got out his phone and declined it. He looked at them.
"What? Come on, that's just catchy." Davenport protested and Freya pressed her lips together, shaking her head.
"It's really not," she said.

~The Next Day~
The following day, Leo, Chase, and Freya walked into school to see many technology upgrades. The circle bench had outlets to charge your phones and laptops. There were electronic bulletin boards all over the walls and there were no textbooks.
Davenport ran down the stairs and over to them. "Hey, guys. Check it out! Electronic bulletin boards, tablets instead of textbooks, and here's the coolest part." They walk over to the lockers."Check it out. By the end of today I will have fingerprint scanners on all the lockers."
"Yes!" Chase smiled.
"We were gonna do retinal scanning, but it turns out eyeballs are highly flammable." Davenport added and Freya frowned.
Davenport puts Leo's thumb on the scanner and his locker swings open. "Hello, Leo Dooley."
"So, what do you think?" Davenport asked.
"I think it's gonna be a lot harder to get out of when someone locks Leo inside." Freya mentioned and Leo nodded as Davenport closed the locker.
"I gotta hand it to you, Mr. Davenport. This is amazing." Chase praised.
"It's pretty cool," Freya smiled.
"See? I told you it would be great." Davenport told them, putting his hands up.
A robot version of Perry walks out of her office and Freya notices it as they walk away from the l lockers.
"Woah," she said and chuckled. "I see you gave Principal Perry a makeover. I especially love what you did to her face."
"Zip it, Monroe!" Robo-Perry said.
"That's not Principal Perry. That's Robo-Perry. She's a robot!" Davenport informed them.
"Huh?" Freya said in shock.
Perry runs out and hugs Robo-Perry. "And she's beautiful!" She kissed both her cheeks.
"Oh no," Freya muttered in horror.
Leo covered his eyes in horror. "Make it stop!"
"Anyway, I designed Robo-Perry so she could roam the halls, handing out detentions while--"
"I'm on a three-hour lunch break!" Perry interrupted Davenport. "Or lurking elsewhere."
"How could you do this?" Chase asked Davenport.
"Simple. I, uh, took the foundations of a robot I built for private security and I repurposed the software. And then, of course, I matched her vocal pattern. It wasn't easy matching the sounds of a gravel truck unloading with a bear in labor, but I got it." Davenport explained and Freya rolled her eyes at him.
"I've always wanted a super cute twin sister." Perry said and then gasps. "I'm gonna buy us matching bikinis." Perry and Robo-Perry posed with their hands on their hips.
"I'm gonna go shove myself in a locker ," Freya smiled, but Chase stopped her.
"And I'm gonna gouge my eyes out." Leo added and Chase nodded.
"Shut it, Dooley and Monroe!" Perry and Robo-Perry said and then pointed at one another with a big smile, before hugging again.
"Thanks, Don!" Perry goes in for a hug and Davenport dodges it.
"H-Hey--yeah, you're welcome. Yeah." Davenport backed away, smiling at her.
The teens pull Davenport to the side.
"Why would you make another Perry?" Chase asked him.
"Principal Perry said if I make her life easier, she's gonna name a wing of the school after me." Davenport explained and Freya frowned at this.
"You sold us out just to have your name above a doorway?" Freya asked with a scoff.
"Once again, your ego takes over and ruins everything." Leo said.
"Hey. If my name on the school brings more prestige and funding because I'm so awesome, that's a win-win-win. That's three wins! That's a Daven-win!" Davenport brightly smiled and the three stood there in disbelief.
"I'm gonna lock myself in Leo's locker," Freya said and turned away, but Chase and Leo stopped her.
——
It was lunch time and Chase, Freya, and Leo were sitting in the hallway eating their lunch. Turns out when your father/best friends father makes a robot version of the principal everyone hates, they turn on you.
Robo-Perry was dragging a kid out of a classroom. "Keep it up, Chip Parker, and you will be in detention forever you-- searching-database-for-insult...Mouth-breather." She walked by the trio with Chip.
"Great. Everybody at school hates us." Chase frowned and Freya shrugged, sipping on her drink.
"Yeah, but now it's high-tech hate." Freya remarked and Davenport walked in from the cafeteria or now known as the Davenporteria.
"Hey, how come you guys aren't eating in the Davenporteria?" Davenport asked them and Freya shook her head.
"Still can't believe you named the entire cafeteria after yourself." Davenport just smiled at Freya's words.
"Funny thing. When your dad creates an even worse version of the worst principal ever, kids tend to turn on you." Chase explained and a student walks by and slaps the banana Chase was eating right out of his hand.
Freya snickered and Chase glared at her. She gave him her apple as an apology and her took it.
"Look, don't worry. I'm sure this will all blow over once kids get used to Robo-Perry." Davenport told them and looked at Chase. "Remember when you first met Leo? You couldn't stand him."
Leo's eyes widen and Chase smiles awkwardly at him. Freya chuckled, nodding.
"I still can't stand him either," she joked and Leo hit her arm. "Hey, I could be eating in there. Be lucky I'm here with you two losers."
"Donny D!" Perry walked up to Davenport.
"Principal P!"
They start to do a handshake in the middle of the hallway and Freya stared at them, cringing at the sight of their weird handshake.
"Old people. You don't think you are, but you are." Leo tells them.
"You are a genius." Perry pointed.
Davenport pointed back at her. "And you are a master of the obvious."
"Robo-Perry is amazing. I know it's only been a few days but" Perry inhaled a breath, smelling the air. "Do you smell that?"
"Moist cat food?" Freya asked, sniffing the air.
"I was running late, I grabbed a can, I thought it was tuna! Live with it!" Perry angrily replied. "Fear. It's fear. And it's everywhere. It's the best smell in the world."
Davenport chuckled. "I prefer crisply-minted hundreds, but whatever floats your boat, Perry-bomb."
Perry laughed. "Listen, I was telling the superintendent how wonderful Robo-Perry is, and he's bringing the entire school board by this afternoon to check her out." Freya's eyes widen at this. "Soon, if we're lucky, there'll be a Robo-Perry in every school in the district."
"And, after that, every school in America!" Davenport added.
Davenport and Perry laughed as the three teens were horrified.
"Great. Now kids we've never met will hate us." Leo mentioned.
"Donald Davenport, the children's savior. I'm gonna make so much money!" Davenport beamed and they both laughed again.
"And as your partner, I'll be happy to give you 30%." Perry offered.
"Well, I think you're forgetting who created this work of genius." Davenport objected.
"Well, I think you're forgetting who's putting the deal together." Perry reasoned with chuckled. "Why don't we go discuss this in my office. I think a lot more clearly in my butt-massaging chair."
Freya coughed after hearing that word and Chase rubbed her back. "Huh?"
"I'm sorry, I blacked out after the word "chair." Davenport was just staring at her, spacing out.
"Now I'm picturing it in my head," Freya groaned, holding her head as the two adults walked away. "It's horrible."
——
Later, when everyone was in class, Freya, Chase, and Leo decided to sneak up on Robo-Perry and adjust her settings. They wanted the school board to see how awful she is and to get Davenport to get rid of her.
Robo-Perry was charging on the circle bench and Chase, Freya, and Leo pop out from the staircase. They walked down the staircase to see an empty hallway.
"Okay, coast is clear, everyone's in class, and Robo-Perry is charging." Leo told them.
"I just need to find out where Mr. Davenport put her control panel." Chsse said and they nodded.
Chase, Freya, and Leo walk over to Robo-Perry and Chase scans her with his bionic eye. The control panel was revealed to be under her right arm pit.
"Hundreds.. hundreds of places to choose from, and he puts it there." Chase said, lifting Robo-Perry's arm.
Freya sighed and then smiled. "Have fun."
Chase rips open control panel to find sweat had formed. "She's a robot. How does she sweat?"
Chase manages to override Robo-Perry's software with a device he was holding.
Chase sighs. "There we go. Instead of seeing Robo-Perry patrolling the halls, the school board will see this..."
Chase presses a few buttons and Robo-Perry starts dancing. Chsse, Leo, and Freya start to dance with her until Davenport walks out and yells at the sight.
"What did you guys do to her?"
"Tapped into her control panel and adjusted the settings. You messed with us, now it's payback time." Chase grinned.
Davenport stammered over his words nervously. "N-no--no! Robo-Perry's original programming was for military patrol. If any unauthorized user tampers with it, it resets to its factory default."
"So reset her date and time. Big deal." Freya shrugged.
"The factory default is, "Search and Destroy!"Davenport gritted through his teeth angrily. "Now it's locked in and I can't stop it!"
Davenport faced Robo-Perry, whose eyes were flashing red. "Threat detected."
Donald yelled as she grabbed him. "Ahh!"
"Destroy." Robo-Perry throws Donald across the room. She walked away and the three flinched as he landed.
"Now, that's what you call a Daven-splat." Leo said Chase and Freya nodded, before rushing over to help Davenport.
——
Davenport, Leo, Chase, and Freya were standing together, watching Robo-Perry destroy the school.
"Out of my way, space-wasters." Robo-Perry said as she threw a trash bin across the room,
"We've got to stop her before she destroys the whole school." Davenport said.
"I think we can divert her attention and lure her into that empty classroom. We just need some bait." Chase explained and Chase and Davenport look at Leo and Freya.
"Nope!" Freya shook her head and pushed Leo forward lightly. "Him!"
"Me? Why me?" Leo asked.
"Well, because you're...you are..." Chase stammered, unable to find the words and Davenport couldn't either.
"You are-" Chase nudged Freya's ribs and she stopped talking.
"Brave?" Leo asked
"Brave." The three agreed.
Leo confidently moved forward. "All right, I'll do it." He spoke in a soft voice. "Hey, Robo-Perry, over--"
"Oh, get over there!" Freya pushed Leo in the middle of the hallway
"Hey, over here, buds and bolts!" Leo exclaimed.
"Tiny threat detected." Robo- Perry said.
Leo turned to the three. "Okay, I am too big to be tiny, and too tiny to be a threat."
Robo-Perry chases Leo into the empty classroom. Chase, Davenport, and Freya ran after them, standing outside the room. Screaming and banging is heard as they listen from outside. And flinch at all the screams and banging. Freya covered her eyes, not wanting to watch anything.
"Aim for the bolts!" Davenport called.
Leo slides out and kicks Robo-Perry into the classroom. Chase, Freya, and Davenport run over and hold the door closed.
"Leo, are you okay?" Freya asked in worried and a Leo was sitting on the floor, rocking back and forth.
"Guys, I've seen some things." Leo said with wide eyes, filled with horror.
——
Chase, Freya, and Davenport are still holding the door shut while Robo-Perry bangs around inside the empty classroom. Leo is sitting on the floor, looking disturbed.
"How could you guys do this to me?" Davenport asked.
"We had to. You doubled the Perry, which doubled our pain!" Chased reasoned.
"Pain?" Leo asked. "You don't know pain! I am a damaged little boy."
"Look, maybe you guys are right. From now on, I will not let my ego get the better of me." Davenport admitted. "Which shouldn't be hard, because I am so awesome at everything."
"You just can't help yourself, can you?" Freya asked him.
Perry and the school board walk into the school.
"Oh, great. The school board." Chase sarcastically said and Freya groaned.
"This demonstration will show that Mission Creek High is the school of the future." Perry started to explain and smiled when she saw Davenport. "And there's the man who's 30% responsible for it, Donald Davenport."
Davenport walks up to them, and Leo gets up to help Chase and Freya hold the door closed.
Donald chuckled. "Principal Perry!"
What's the word, Donny bird?" Perry laughed back at a nervous Davenport.
"Uh, where's robo me?" Perry asked.
"Uh, she is, uh, supervising a parent-teacher conference." Davenport informed them.
Perry nodded. "Oh!"
Lots of loud banging is heard from inside the classroom.
"It's not going well." Davenport mentioned.
"Sounds normal to me." Freya shrugged.
"Well, get that beautiful hunk of metal out here. I want to show her off." Perry told Davenport.
"Oh, why don't we just stay out here and look at that big beautiful hunk of...you?" Davenport asked, stammering at the end.
Robo-Perry yanks the classroom door off and Chase grabs Freya, backing up fast with Leo.
"There she is! Come give your sissy a kissy!" Perry gave a bunch of air kisses to Robo-Perry.
"Threat detected." Robo-Perry said with red eyes.
"Threat? I'm no threat." Perry said with confusion. "What are you-- what are you talking about?"
"Destroy. Destroy." Robo- Perry put her hands out and walked toward Perry.
"Destroy me?" Perry asked with a smile of disbelief. "Oh, honey, many have tried. I don't think so."
Robo-Perry grabs Perry and they start to tussle.
They let go of one another and Perry frowned. "All right, I don't know what's going on, but you're going down, metal me!"
"No, you are going down, fleshy me." Robo-Perry warned.
Perry and Robo-Perry continued to tussle and Freya was smirking, trying to surpass her laugh.
"We're not getting much of an education, but where else can you see this?" Leo asked with a smirk and Freya nodded as Chase and Davenport chuckled.
——
Some time had passed and Perry and Robo-Perry are still fighting
"Don! What's going on? I don't think I can hold her much longer. She's strong. You must have given her some of my unbridled rage." Perry cried, struggling in Robo-Perry's grip.
Robo-Perry manages to fling Perry across the room and Freya winced at the crash.
"Careful." Davenport chuckled.
Adam and Bree run in from the gym and the new foreign exchange student, Alistair, runs in from the front doors frantically.
"Principal Perry! Principal Perry! You have to help me! Adam and--" Alistair started to scream when he saw Robo-Perry, who tosses him across the room and he lands on the school board members.
"Ouch," Freya winced. "Poor new kid."
"Oh! Now, she knows how to lift." Adam grinned.
Alistair looks up in a confused daze. "I see stars and yellow moons and green clovers."
"Well, that settles that." Bree shrugged. "He's definitely not bionic."
"Yep. But "leprechaun" is still on the table." Adam mentioned and they walk over to Chase, Leo, and Donald.
"Mr. Davenport, how are we gonna stop Robo-Perry?" Chase asked his father.
"We don't have a choice. You're gonna have to use your bionics." Davenport told them.
"You want us to expose ourselves in front of the school board?" Chase asked and Freya stood there in shock.
"No, he wants us to use our bionics in front of the school board. This guy!" Adam corrected and Freya rolled her eyes.
"Look, we have to do something! Robo-Perry is gonna destroy the entire school!" Davenport exclaimed. ""Just do it!"
Leo, Freya, and Davenport back away as Adam, Bree, and Chase prepare to use their bionics. Right before they could do anything, Perry screams and runs toward Robo-Perry tackling her to the floor. Freya gasps, covering her mouth and she lets out a chuckle as Perry was wrestling herself
"That's not something you see everyday," Freya mentions and Leo nodded.
Perry stands up with Robo-Perry's severed head in her han. "There can only be one!"
"Still one too many." Leo muttered and Chase and Freya snickered.
