Ragged breaths escaped their mouth. They were being followed. Chased. But by who? That didn't matter. It could've been anyone. After all, prey was starting to turn on predator, and predator occasionally turned on predator.
They were caught off guard; which is why they ran. They needed to make sure they were safe before attempting to recuperate. They only left their home to catch food. To hunt, not become food or to be hunted.
What made it worse was that it was pitch black and in the forest. Basically everyone's playground. Humans and werewolves thrived here; it was easy to hide- stealth is their best friend. And because it was currently night, vampires would be thriving. Not only that but there would most likely be lakes here too...
Even if it was one of their own species chasing them, it could end up in them getting injured. They would just have to wait it out, especially since they didn't have a weapon on them.
They ran around a corner, slipping; causing them to skid and fall over, landing on their back as their head came into contact with a rock, everything going pitch black.
Everything was muffled as they slowly came to. The sound of a campfire crackling away was probably the most evident to them. Everything was still black, and they couldn't open their eyes yet. It was as if they were still dazed; causing confusion to loiter their head as they attempted to regain their memories of what happened.
The sound of three voices talking quietly filled their ringing ears- but weren't as clear or as loud as the fire near them. They were captured.
“What species are they? They human?” A voice quietly asked. It was cold and hoarse- most likely belonging to a man.
“I don't know.” Another voice murmured. It wasn't as cold, but it was just as hoarse and quiet.
Just then, they could feel their upper lip being gently lifted up, as if someone was trying to look at their canines.
“Toby stop.” The second one hissed.
Y/C sat bolt right up, with a panicked look. Consequently, this caused the curly haired brunet to stumble back; as he did so, a pair of brown ears shot up, from his mass of curls. His almost yellow eyes widened, too, almost empathizing that he was a werewolf.
He wore a black turtleneck and a dark grey jacket with a pair of dark blue jeans. His hands were pressed against the grassy floor, as he gently kicked back away from them; causing him to move closer to the two men stood behind him.
A claw mark ran across the bridge of his nose- the scar still evident on his paler features- unlike the faded freckles upon his cheeks.
The man that quickly went to help him up was tall; and had messy blonde hair. It was straight, short but still disheveled. It was a darker blonde, instead of a platinum. It was the same colour as the stubble that outlined what used to be a beard and moustache. He was dressed in a pastel yellow hoodie and light blue jeans- both slightly dirtied. He seemed to be human.
The other man seemed to almost glare at Y/C with a pair of dark, brown eyes. His hair was almost black and was swept to one side, somewhat. He wasn't too tall but was taller than 'Toby', from what they could understand. He was dressed in a khaki coloured bomber jacked, red plaid shirt and dark blue jeans with black boots. "Who are you?" He questioned.
"We found you unconscious in the woods so we thought we should bring you somewhere safe." The werewolf mumbled.
They had to admit, it was peculiar to see a werewolf away from it's pack, nevermind with two humans.
They looked between the three, with an anxious look.
