チャプター2 (Chapter 2)

"Eeee! These pastries look exquisite." Lady Elizabeth smiled.

"Made from the finest pastry chefs." I answer.

There were croissants fluffier than clouds. A couple of morning sandwiches which I handpicked. Flowers decorated the stand and the picnic table. I had dusted and trimmed each plant. I have to make everything neat as a pin.

"Sebastian, are you sure you should be up and about?" Lady Elizabeth asks me.

"Thank you for your concern milady, but I'm fine." I say.

She nods and continue eating a breakfast parfait. I'm fine. My body has recovered. I'm fine and I'm glad my contract with Lucifer has ended. My arm is fully healed, and I could move it all the same. Though one rib is still a little beat up.

"My father has invited you to a fair Ciel, would you like to go?" Lady Elizabeth asks.

"We will have to see what my schedule is like." He says.

"Oh alright. I do so hope you can come." Lady Elizabeth says.

She let out a breath. Ciel sips his tea.

"More tea master? Milady?" I ask.

"Of course." Elizabeth smiles.

"I'm good. This tea is too dull." Ciel says.

"Ciel Phantomhive! Ciel Phantomhive!" A man runs over.

The man's face is red as a tomato. There were soldiers. What is going on? Something's wrong. I can smell something emanating off of him, blood and fear.

 He turns.

"And just who are you?" Ciel hisses.

I walk forward.

"My name is Rem. I bring an urgent message from the palace. I do regret to come here on such a nice day." He starts.

His hands were shaking. His breath was faltering.

"What's with the crowd? Just spit it out." Ciel says.

"The Queen is... dead." He breathes.
