Escaped
(This is just something I wanted to do, this is not how it'll happen in the actual book, in this version, Auggie doesn't know a lot about the supernatural, and the things that go bump in the night. Also, August is ten.)

Sam was trying to fix Dean.
He was a demon, and Sam was trying to change him back.
But August didn't know that.
All she knew was that daddy was sick, and Sammy was trying to make him better.
August was in the kitchen, making one of the little microwaveable cups of Mac n cheese.
She was pouring the cheese packet into the cup, and just as she laid the empty packet down, she froze.
Someone was behind her.
August turned and saw Dean standing right behind her.
"Hey, hey, hey, don't scream! Don't scream! It's me!" Dean held his hands up to her as he saw the panic start to rise in her.
"Sammy said you were sick." August signed.
"I know, but I'm better now!" Dean told her. "But here's the thing, I think Sammy caught it. Sammys sick now." He said, holding his hand out to her. "He could hurt you, and I don't want you to get hurt." He gently reached up, brushing a curl out of her face and behind her ear.
"August!"
Dean looked up as he heard Sam call out for the girl.
Dean immediately took the girls hand, rushing out of the kitchen and into a closet in the hallway.
Dean closed the door, and put his hand over Augusts mouth, her head against his chest. He put a finger to his lips, telling her to stay quiet.
Dean heard Sam run by, and August looked up at Dean, her mouth still covered by his hand.
Dean heard Sam run by again, but going a lot faster than he was before. He was panicking.
Once dean knew it was clear. He grabbed Augusts hand, and opened the closet door, pulling her out with him.
They rushed down the hallway, Dean pulling the girl behind him. They went into a room, where Dean got into a drawer.
August quietly gasped as he picked up an axe. Dean glanced back at her, then put it back down, grabbing the hammer behind it instead.
"Why do you need it?" August signed, trying to speak as she did so.
"Because I do!" Dean raised his voice at her, turning to her and raising his hands in frustration making her flinch.
She thought he was going to hit her.
Deans expression immediately softened.
"I'm sorry, Baby, I didn't mean to, I'm sorry!" He apologized.
"It's okay, daddy, I know." August signed to him, then put her hands on his cheeks, her thumbs gently brushing against his cheekbones. "Love you." She told him, then hugged him tightly, her arms wrapping around his neck.
"I love you, sweetheart." Dean said, gently stroking her curly brown hair. "Come on, we gotta go before he finds us, okay?" He pulled her back to look at her as he sighed some of that sentence.
"Kay." August nodded, taking his hand tightly. "But we aren't gonna hurt him, right?" She signed with her free hand.
Dean stayed quiet, pulling her behind him.
After a few minutes of walking down the hallways, the lights in the bunker turned red, and an alarm started going off.
Augusts grip on deans hand tightened as she felt the vibrations through the floor from the alarm. She was scared, and didn't know what was going on.
"Smart, Sam." Dean called out with a slight smirk. "Locking the place down. Doors won't open. I get it." He called out, slowly walking down the hallway again. "But here's the thing. I don't want to leave. Not til I find you, and make sure my little girl is safe."
Dean stopped when he heard clattering down the hallway. He immediately started down it, pulling August with him.
"Daddy!" August pulled away from dean making him turn and look at her. "We can't hurt him!" She signed to dean.
"This is for you. Everything. It's for you." Dean told her, and signed. "I'm just trying to keep you safe."
"But we don't have to hurt Sammy!" August signed.
"If it means my little girl is safe, then yes. Yes, I do." Dean said, and signed to her.
August stared up at him with teary eyes.
Dean then grabbed her, and opened the closest closet to them, shoving her in it, and locking it.
"Daddy!" August yelled from inside the closet.
"I'm sorry, baby, I'm sorry!" Dean apologized to her, even though he knew she couldn't hear him.
"Daddy!" August beat her fist against the door.
"I'll let you out after I handle this, okay?" Dean told her. "I promise."
He then walked away, leaving the girl there.
"Sammy!" Dean called out halfway down the hall.
"Daddy!" August sobbed and pulled on the doorknob.
She cried, beating on the door.
"You're just making this worse for yourself, man!" Dean called out to his brother. "Oh, by the way, you can, uh...blame yourself for me getting loose. All that blood you pumped into me to make me human— well," Dean chuckled. "The less demon i was, the less the cuffs worked." He said. "And that devils trap— well, I just walked right across it. It smarted. But still..."
August jerked on the doorknob, trying to get it open. She let out a cry of frustration, kicking the door.
She then watched as the light from under the door went back to normal, and the vibrations in the wall stopped, meaning the alarm went off.
"Yeah, that's more like it." Dean said to himself, as he was the one who turned the lockdown mode off for the bunker.
He heard Sam grunt as he closed the door, and locked it, locking Dean in the room.
"That's your big move?" Dean asked him.
"Listen to me, Dean! We were getting close, okay? I know you're still in there somewhere, and I know you have Auggie. Where is she?" Sam said.
It was quiet.
"Dean?" Sam asked.
There then was a thud on the door, Sam immediately backed away. A piece of the door the. flew off towards Sam.
"You act like I want to be cured." Dean said as he hit the door with the hammer.
Sam watched as the door broke, he could now see dean.
"Personally, I like the disease." Dean told him, grinning.
"Dean! Stop that!" Sam yelled at him. "Look, I don't want to use this blade on you!" He threatened him with the demon blade.
"Oh! That sucks for you, doesn't it?" Dean said in a sarcastic tone. "'Cause you really mean that." He laughed, then continued breaking the door.
"Look, if you come out of that room, I won't have a choice!" Sam warned him.
"Sure you will! And I know which one you'll make. Isn't that right, Sammy? But, see...here's the thing. I'm lucky. Oh, hell, I'm blessed. 'Cause there's just enough demon left in me that killing you ain't no choice at all." He kept breaking the door with the hammer.
Sam then ran down the hallway just before dean broke the door enough to where he could easily step through it.
"Sammy?" Dean called out, going down the hallway. "Come on, Sammy! Let's have a beer, talk about it. I'm tired of playing. Let's finish this game!" He called out.
Sam walked down the hallway, but stopped when he heard crying coming from one of the closets.
He immediately recognized it.
Sam rushed to it, and unlocked it, seeing August sitting on the floor with her knees pulled to her chest, crying.
"Sammy!" She cried, immediately getting up and hugging him tightly.
"Hey sweetheart, I'm okay. It's okay." Sam told her as he gently stroked her hair.
"Daddy said you were sick. He said you were gonna hurt us." August signed as she pulled away from him, still crying.
"Sweetheart, I'm not sick. Deans still sick, okay?" Sam told her, and signed to her, seeing as she didn't have her hearing aids in.
"He said he was doing it for me, everything for me." August cried.
Sam looked up as he heard his brother getting closer.
"I know, sweetheart, but look, we got to move, okay?" Sam told her, and signed the last part.
August nodded with a small sniffle.
Sam took her hand tightly, leading her down the hallway.
They stopped at a corner, Sam's back against the wall, and August against his chest. Sam then looked around the corner, but Dean wasn't there.
He then felt August get jerked out of his grasp, and when he turned, he ducked just in time as Dean swung the hammer at his head.
August sobbed as Dean held her against his chest, but sam put the blade up against deans throat.
Dean chuckled.
"Well...look at you." Dean smirked. "Do it." He told him.
August cried, squeezing her eyes shut.
"It's all you." Dean told his brother.
Sams eyes shifted to August, then he brought the blade down, away from Dean who smirked.
Deans eyes turned black, and he stepped forward, but before he could do anything, Castiel grabbed him from behind, keeping him from doing anything.
Sam pulled August into him as she cried.
"It's over." Cas told Dean as he kept Dean from moving. "Dean, it's over."
Dean growled as Cas' eyes lit up blue. Dean yelled as he grunted.
August turned her head away from dean, into Sams chest.
"It's over." Cas repeated.

August was in deans room resting. She was exhausted from crying, and being pulled around, but she wanted to be in deans room, in his bed, where the blankets and pillows smelt like him.
It was a comfort thing.
Her eyes were closed, but she felt the bed dip.
She opened her eyes a little, and saw Dean sitting there, looking over her.
"Daddy..." She mumbled, reaching for his hand.
"Hey, sweet girl." Dean smiled a little, squeezing her hand.
"Not sick?" She tiredly signed to him with one hand.
"No, I'm not sick anymore." Dean shook his head. "I'm sorry." He apologized to her. "Baby, I'm so sorry." His eyes watered a little.
"For what?" August signed to him as she sat up, furrowing her brows in slight question.
"For everything." Dean signed and told her.
"Kay, daddy." August spoke. "You were sick, you didn't know." She slightly shook her head.
"I know, I just— I'm sorry, and I love you." Dean told her.
August smiled and got up on her knees, hugging dean tightly. Dean hugged her back just as tight, maybe even tighter if it were possible.
"Love you, Daddy." She told him. "And I'm glad you're better now, 'cause now we can watch Batman, right?" She signed as she pulled away from him.
"Right." Dean nodded with a slight chuckle.
August smiled at him, and kissed his cheek. Dean smiled at her, then held up the 'I love you' sign to her. August gladly held one up as well, and they pressed them together.
