THURSDAY, OCTOBER 13th 1977
The whole house full of people seem to be in a particularly happy mood as we all prepare for the wedding today. I sit in my room which has become a dressing room for the bride and bridesmaids as we all get ready. Narcissa sits at my vanity, getting her hair all done up while Bellatrix and I get our make up done.
"Hey, ease up on the dark tones. She's an angel, not a vampire" Bellatrix snaps at the woman doing my makeup.
I give the woman an apologetic smile to which she smiles warmly, picking up a lighter coloured eye shadow palette.
"Relax, Trixie. You'd think this was your wedding all over again" I tell the woman jokingly and she scoffs.
"Luckily Aunt Walburga's little brat isn't here to ruin Cissy's wedding like he did mine" Bellatrix huffs.
"I don't think that was all Sirius' fault, Bella" Narcissa sighs.
"He dropped red wine down my white gown! I don't care if he tripped. He should have watched where he was bloody going" Bellatrix growls in anger.
"I remember, you were furious with him" I grimace at the memory.
"He's lucky I didn't hex him right there and then" Bellatrix retorts.
"Well, he's not here anymore. So we can move on" Narcissa buts in.
"You'll forever be too soft, sister" Bellatrix tells her little sister.
"And you'll forever be too harsh" Narcissa counters.
"Are you nervous, Cissy?" I ask, hopefully changing the subject.
"I don't think so" She shrugs "I've known Lucius for years now. What's there to be nervous of?"
"I don't know. I just assumed you'd have butterflies or you'd be little nervous as it's a big day for you" I explain and the blonde woman frowns.
"You read too many romance novels, Linnie. Head up in the clouds I tell you" Bellatrix says to me before looking at her sister "Trust me, Cissy, this is normal. I didn't feel any of that butterfly nonsense before marrying Rodolphus"
"Isn't it lonely?" I ask them curiously as the woman doing Narcissa's hair and the woman doing my make up swap places.
"Isn't what lonely?" Narcissa questions.
"Being wed to a man you don't love" I elaborate.
"Love isn't real" Bellatrix scoffs "Marriage is an economic proposition. It's about devoting yourself to a man who will support you financially and take you higher on the ladder of life. Marriage is simply a means to keeping our pureblood status and passing it onto our future children"
"That sounds awful, Trixie" I frown deeply.
"Don't listen to her" Narcissa tells me, sending her older sister a scolding look "Love exists, Angel, it's just not very common in pureblood marriages. But sometimes, if you're really lucky, you learn to love them and they learn to love you"
Bellatrix gags loudly and my frown doesn't fade as I glance down at my lap.
"I don't want to be stuck in a loveless marriage, Cissy. I want to fall in love and have them ask me to marry them because they want to, not because our parents want us to" I admit.
"Like I said, Linnie. Head up in the clouds" Bellatrix sings "Grow up and be realistic"
"Leave her alone, Bella" Narcissa tuts.
"I'm just being honest, Cissy. Someone has to let her know" Bellatrix argues.
I let out a sigh and get up, walking over to the closet as the hairdresser starts on Bellatrix's hair. I pick up my dress and head into my bathroom, closing the door behind me. Being careful not to ruin my make up or hair, I slip on the dress and turn to the full length mirror to make sure that I look okay.
The baby blue silk dress hugs my curves nicely and falls to my feet which are clad in white heels, the thin straps showing off the few freckles on my shoulders. My hair is curled into large bouncy curls and my make up is very subtle apart from the white winged eye liner which makes me look almost angelic.
I exit the bathroom to see that Bellatrix is in a dress the exact same as mine, her make up dark and her curly hair pinned up elegantly. Narcissa is stood next to her, the bride now in a gorgeous white gown with light make up and an updo that rivals her sister's.
"Wow, you look beautiful" Narcissa coos.
"Me? You both look ethereal" I compliment them.
They both grin at me widely and I remember the gift sat on my bedside table.
"Can one of you help me put this on?" I ask, walking over to the table and picking up the pearl necklace.
"I can help with that" I hear a voice and turn to see Regulus who is stood with Rodolphus at the door.
"Reggie" I grin widely, walking over to him as Rodolphus takes Bellatrix's arm.
"See you down there, Linnie" The raven haired woman smiles.
"Be down in a minute" I reply as she exits with her husband.
I hand Regulus the necklace and turn, allowing him to clasp it around my neck.
"You look like an angel" Regulus murmurs with a soft smile.
"You look very dapper yourself" I reply with a smile, looking his black suit up and down.
"M'lady" He says, holding his arm to me.
"What a gentleman" I coo, linking my arm with his before turning to Narcissa who is watching us with a small smile "Good luck, Cissy"
"Thank you, Angel" She grins.
Narcissa, Regulus and I head downstairs to where Bellatrix is stood with Rodolphus and Cygnus Black. The man dotes on his daughters while I turn to Regulus who it yet to let go of my arm.
"Ready to walk down the aisle with me, princess?" He grins in amusement.
"As ready as I'll ever be, Reg" I hum with a smile.

After the mind numbingly boring ceremony is over and done with, I am free to get fucked up with my friends.
"Don't you all look lovely" I announce, approaching Evan and the girls.
"Look at you" Mallory gasps.
"Come on, give us a twirl" Evan encourages, holding out his hand to me.
I take his hand with a giggle and he twirls me around, whistling loudly.
"Isn't she gorgeous?" Regulus declares, coming up beside me and handing me a glass of champagne.
"Oh, stop it" I laugh, nudging his arm with my elbow.
"Mission get as drunk as possible?" Mallory suggests.
"All in favour say aye" I chirp.
"Aye" We all say in unison.
"To getting pissed" Evan grins, raising his glass.
We all tap our glasses together and proceed to chug whatever is in them, whooping loudly. People around us look in disgust and the boys share an amused grin while the girls lean into me, the three of us giggling.
"More drinks!" Pandora perks up, pointing at the table filled with drinks.
As we walk over to the table, two blurs of orange block our path and my eyes narrow at the sight of the Carrows, but I can't help the grin that tugs at my lips when I notice their matching crooked noses.
"Evangeline" Alecto spits.
"Alecto" I respond, crossing my arms over my chest "Where's big bad Barty now that there isn't teachers to save his arse?"
"He's elsewhere" Amycus replies vaguely.
"Lovely. Now get out of my way before I have to break both your noses back into place" I threaten.
They move and I walk past them with my friends until the sound of Alecto's voice cause me to freeze in my place.
"You're a blood traitor, Malfoy" She declares.
I turn slowly and glare at her in rage for even daring to start a fight on my brother's wedding of all days.
"You keep your mouth shut, Carrow. This is my brother's wedding day" I sneer at her
"Well, maybe your family deserve to know that you're a traitorous little whore" Amycus announces.
"Enough, you two" Regulus warns them.
"What?" Alecto laughs "Poor little princess doesn't want her mummy and daddy to know that she's shagging a halfblood from Gryffindor house?"
"Shut up!" I demand.
"Evangeline!" I hear a voice growl out that sends chills down my spine in pure fear.
Even the Carrows seem to cower and scurry away as I turn to the man I call my father. He glares at me darkly and my mother refuses to even look at me, looking down at the ground.
"Father-"
"Don't make things even worse on yourself. We'll talk about this later" The man cuts me off.
My parents walk away from me without another word and I turn to my friends who are all looking at me in concern.
"I'm so dead" I breathe out.
